My mother taught Dolores in secondary school, said she was always very sweet and quite in her own world. A real creative. R.I.P the world lost such a wonderful soul 💔
Yeah..., she was also sexually abused between the age 8-12..., by a"friend of a family", ehhh, so I am sure she was shy and quiet... or you meant"cute"? Anyway, she was cute as well, I am sure
Poor Delores and now Sinead O'Connor.. 2 heroic irish women who will live on in Irish Folklore for generations.. 2 troubled souls who brought joy to millions around the world... Generational Talent.. R.I.P ladies ❤
i think of irish women as fiercely passionate and thoughtful people and i don’t think i realized how influenced that was by those two. they’re a glowing representation of the country
50 today Dolores (6 September 2021). It's so sad to think you were still so young when you left us. Thoughts are with your family, especially your children today. Thank you for the music. You're truly inspirational.
Notice how she moves her hands and her face expressions while she sings.... she's played these songs a million times but for her it's not a job or another concert.... she puts 100% of her heart in every note as if she's trying to give you her best performance ever....
As an Irish man, I burst with pride listening to Dolores and The Cranberries. The impact her lyrics had on so many people globally. It truly devastated me when I heard the sad news of her death. Rest in Power My Irish Queen
We truly miss such an amazing vocalist even though we are worlds apart. Zombie played in my generation like crazy, and even common people knew about the Northern Ireland issues... not because of BBC, but all because of the song. From Northeastern India.
I had been going down a Cranberries rabbit hole on my drives home the past few months. Never really listened beyond my commute, discovered this on TH-cam and had no idea she had passed away in 2018 until I got to the comments section. Rest in peace, Dolores really is the voice of a generation. Thank you to her and The Cranberries for such beautiful, sincere and such heart felt music. Watching this whole thing with a bit of a tear in my eye now, and will probably every time I listen to their music from now on.
I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of Tiny Desk Concerts. This one is the best. The charm if actually feeling like they just showed up and were asked to bring out guitars is amazing. The production feels dated, but it makes it so charming . They just look happy playing their songs. It is so rock n roll. They took the request to play Zombie, and obviously didn’t plan on playing it but did it anyway.
I think it was cool that they seemed happy to do Zombie and played it with all their hearts after probably playing that more than any other song. So cool
You say the production feels outdated and I assuming you mean the set up of being in a office and often doing stripped back versions of tracks, kind of like the live lounge days. Listen to the sound production though, it's absolutely fantastic every time.
Dolores was so warm and interested in any requests and there was no hesitation or disappointment when somebody requested Zombie. Really warms my heart, what a voice what a performance. ❤
This is so raw, nothing between her and her ethereal voice, unobscured by production editing and age, yet I am taken aback and utterly and purely captivated. By this once in a lifetime woman. RIP you will be remembered always.
Hard core house music , alternative and hip hop listener here. I’m a 44 year old male, and I had to fight back tears 20 seconds into this performance. The reality this artist is gone and the nostalgia of years gone by hit as hard as a Tyson uppercut. Although she left sometime ago, she still here today through this gem performance reminding the youth of the 90s to live life to the fullest. Thank you Dolores
Watching this near the end of 2023, and the loss of Dolores O'Riordan still hurts. What a singular talent she was. Zombie still gives me chills all these years later. Every lilt and keening wail hits so hard.
I love when Dolores is so in a state of flow: "just gimme the note", bam straight into the next song. There's something uplifting in seeing a band like that reuniting after a long time, all knowing how much life has passed since their glory days, and how much more precious time is.
Her voice was so insanely unique you never listen to 5 seconds of a song and wonder "is that the cranberries". She does so many wild things no one will ever cover!!
Totally characteristic of Dolores, she would do that all the time, just watch videos like Zombie or Animal Instinct, I love when she does that, such a signature move
You can see sometimes she freezes her eyes for a few seconds as if she is thinking, she not only sings but also feels the music, really she was a unique person.
I deeply admire singers who are so unique, that you can spot them within seconds. You could never confuse her with anyone else. RIP Dolores. Thank you forever.
C'est une grande voix et fleurs 🥀 qui c'est ouvert à la vie Et que nos yeux et cœurs 🧡 pleures Aujourd'hui Des lendemain sans toi Je me sens perdu sans ta voix et sagesse qu'il y a en toi
Her vocals sound like they’re lifted off of the studio recordings, even though she’s singing in an office. What an amazing live performance, from the whole band. Exquisite.
@@KeyboardistMonsterthey are insanely good, it’s a heavy rock band playing acoustic with no pedals to stomp on for effects. Her voice is amazing for the single type of shotgun mic they’re using.
Truly. Proving the music never dies. And they still feel it and are completely committed to it. It satisfies a longing deep inside for hope, for continuity.
because you see them "real" you see them reachable and you feel they are closer to you and have more in common with them than what you thought , they grow old with you but grew more intimate like if we own a part of their music , cranberries always will remind me my high school years 1999-2001 their music spoke to me in many levels , that's why we grin , besides all the storms and time they are still together as band performing the same music that has become just even better
wandered into an Irish pub in Lyon France. To my surprise there was a picture of her with the owner. She apparently stopped in every time they were in Lyon. The memorials surrounding the photo were still there two years after her death. Brought a tear to my eyes. You couldn't live in the nineties without hearing the Cranberries. Amazing
@@optimusprime_png googling, i think its "Johnny’s Kitchen is an Irish Pub located in Lyon, France. The Cranberries were playing in Lyon on November 20th so the photo was then published a few days after, when the band was not in the city anymore." c/p that u can find the article
Dolores O'Riordan is an eternal gem. Rest easy. Her message is powerful and resonates within the hearts of people across the entire globe to this very day. She was not wrong.
There is something in Delores's' voice that just seems to hint at hundreds of years of irish pain. Similar to the great bluesmen of the Mississippi delta and Georgia. Amazing music.
jesse hays A lot of Irish and Scottish folk music has a haunting tone. Hitting that emotion with beauty is simply in the Celtic/Gaelic wheelhouse; they don't shy away in those cultures.
Its so hard for me to say good bye to you. I grew up with you, bought the cranberries as my first music cd, listen to you all day and night. You are a hero to me. What you gave to us was not just music, its hope, faith, strength and purpose. I will forever remember you. Rest in peacr Dolores
As a young man in the 90s I was in awe of this beautiful woman, with her amazing voice that exuded so much of what would lead me to Irish singers and music before her. She is for me a legend without a doubt. 1❤️.
That look from Mike at 15:17 says it all. When Dolores O'Riordan gets in her zone she has few peers. But the whole combination of Cranberries makes this work Mike Hogan's bass lines are such a brilliant groove Noel Hogan's guitar weaves in and out providing melody and filling the holes flawlessly Fergal Lawler's drumming and timing are perfect backbone that gets you thumping along I miss them. Gone too soon. RIP Dolores
Yeah it really gets to me once in awhile when I listen to the cranberries. Dolores O'riordan was such an amazing talent. Definitely gone far to soon like so many others.
The cranberries deserve a lot more recognition. This beautiful Irish woman just bleeds her soul into her magnificent voice.. that translates to raw emotion that anyone listening just cant deny.
I agree with the sentiment, but don't they have more than plenty of recognition? They have one of the biggest hits of the 90s, and besides that, they maintained a very substantial fan base since then. A lot of their material was also critically well received.
Love her face at the beginning of Zombie. She has played that song countless times over the years and probably was constantly requested to play it, but you can tell she still takes pride in it and loves it. As she should, it’s a brilliant song. RIP.
Getting drunk won't help, that shit with smoking and drugs are the fucking reasons of so many deaths of great people, get help or talk to your close people but do not use that shit to soothe your soul.

Incredible how naturally talented they are and Dolores’ singing . It’s just raw natural talent. Mesmerising to watch. One of best bands ever. Makes me proud to be Irish. R.I.P Dolores
I've been watching cranberries videos tonight on different channels, and there are a ton of Portuguese comments that I can't read, so I believe that it's a thing. I think that's pretty cool that great music like this can pull at hearts of people equally from across oceans with different cultures.
@@somethingelse4424 they were a huge success all over the world. Music is the universal language. To be honest, even when I was a kid and didn't speak English, didn't understand what they were singing but I could feel it.

I'm so glad that I stumbled upon this concert again. I used to listen to it constantly. The only thing better than her voice is her smile. So absolutely touching. And yes, Tomorrow is one of the best acoustic versions of a song you will ever here.
There were a hundred radio songs that I liked when I was 11 years old. … but seeing this at 42, she is captivating in this setting and also beautiful. It’s too bad I didn’t follow them all these years.

Blows your minding finding out you still have a lot of heart left to break doesn't it!? Dolores was on a level I can't define; she shared her Love, her pain, I mean Dolores was a great person worthy of remembering.
I marched to the stage in St. Louis in 92 I believe and was able to shake/touch her hand as she sang on! I truly miss you Dolores. I am sorry for all your pain you had experienced in life. Nobody has that Celtic accent like you. Thinking about you in 2024, in tears myself.❤🩹
2023 now and Delores's voice is the closest thing I have ever heard to the sound of magic. Her spirit, her energy, her quirks, her inflections, . It is crystal clear she was blessed with greatness. A genius in her time. Something REAL special. She could sail away on the tears that were shed from her passing. Burning so bright, a beacon in the night, you can feel her light and you can tell something is right.
for the fans of The Cranberries. Going through the videos again. I don't even know what to say. She was such a beautiful talented woman. She's severely missed
I've been something of an alcoholic the past 5 or years or so. Her death was the first time I truly realized how much I hate it with a passion. She was too special for this world.
I love Delores. I remember when "Everybody Else is doing it..." came out. The second I heard that album I fell in love with this band. She truly has one of the most unique, distinguished voices in music.

so sad. such a loss. Beautiful girl, so insightful and unique. God comfort her family.
I remember my dad showing me this group when I was a little kid. Im 27 now. Their lyrics just hit so deep throughout the years
I had to come listen to this as I hear of her passing today. Her voice still brings tears to my eyes! R.I.P Dolores.
I deeply admire singers who are so unique, that you can spot them within seconds. You could never confuse her with anyone else. RIP Dolores. Thank you forever.
Agreed. She had one of the most distinguishable voices of the 90s.
I think it is more valuable that her songs touched things as war and many others things that weren't supposed to be your easy pop rock hit.
C'est une grande voix et fleurs 🥀 qui c'est ouvert à la vie

Des lendemain sans toi
Je me sens perdu sans ta voix et sagesse qu'il y a en toi
Very true... As soon as you hear her, even a song you don't know, you know its Dolores.
Maybe, but there IS a similarity between Delores and Alanis Morissette's voice.
Her vocals sound like they’re lifted off of the studio recordings, even though she’s singing in an office. What an amazing live performance, from the whole band. Exquisite.
Arguable
they're really bad, let's not pretend and and act patronizing pls
@@KeyboardistMonsterthey are insanely good, it’s a heavy rock band playing acoustic with no pedals to stomp on for effects. Her voice is amazing for the single type of shotgun mic they’re using.
@@KeyboardistMonsterthey certainly don’t sound like they’re from the album. That person is tonedeaf. But this is brilliant.

I was lucky to live in the 90's with my 20's. Listening this on 2024 crying. Life is too short oh God.
Something about seeing some of my favorite bands aged and playing music in an intimate setting just makes me grin from ear to ear.
i couldnt have described the feeling i have from stuff like this better.
My parents met at a Cranberries concert in the 90's. And the rest was history. 💕
Is your dad Bro Bro Zoeller?

Welcome: we have been listening and crying for years lol
Cry tears that fit your mood, and listen to lots of music?
Right?
This band really took the world by storm in the best way possible. Thank you very much Dolores and Co.
wandered into an Irish pub in Lyon France. To my surprise there was a picture of her with the owner. She apparently stopped in every time they were in Lyon. The memorials surrounding the photo were still there two years after her death. Brought a tear to my eyes. You couldn't live in the nineties without hearing the Cranberries. Amazing
what pub is that do you know? im going to be in lyon over the summer and it would be nice to visit
@@optimusprime_png googling, i think its "Johnny’s Kitchen is an Irish Pub located in Lyon, France. The Cranberries were playing in Lyon on November 20th so the photo was then published a few days after, when the band was not in the city anymore." c/p that u can find the article

Yep - powerful stuff - peace Delores ❤
Dolores O'Riordan is an eternal gem. Rest easy. Her message is powerful and resonates within the hearts of people across the entire globe to this very day. She was not wrong.
There is something in Delores's' voice that just seems to hint at hundreds of years of irish pain. Similar to the great bluesmen of the Mississippi delta and Georgia. Amazing music.
Yeah, it's her Irish accent.
Most Irish female singers have that skip in their vocals...listen to the Corrs they got that too
jesse hays A lot of Irish and Scottish folk music has a haunting tone. Hitting that emotion with beauty is simply in the Celtic/Gaelic wheelhouse; they don't shy away in those cultures.
No there's definitely something very special in her tone/ inflection. I agree with you 100%
jesse hays I agree!

She was a unique and special talent! I only wish I had seen them live before she passed, always been a fan.
That look from Mike at 15:17 says it all.
When Dolores O'Riordan gets in her zone she has few peers.
But the whole combination of Cranberries makes this work Mike Hogan's bass lines are such a brilliant groove
Noel Hogan's guitar weaves in and out providing melody and filling the holes flawlessly
Fergal Lawler's drumming and timing are perfect backbone that gets you thumping along

Yeah it really gets to me once in awhile when I listen to the cranberries. Dolores O'riordan was such an amazing talent. Definitely gone far to soon like so many others.
we keep coming to ourselves... she mirrors our uncried pain so lovingly... I love you buddy
RIP.
