I grew up with a different brand of this kind of appliance. We used it more to make cupcakes than pies because the pastry would never cook through. But for individual cakes? Surprisingly handy.
Would love a series of you finding odd stuff like this in charity shops or pre owned and using them to craft some special sue scrans I love a novelty gadget
First? No way... Anyway, we don't do pies/pasties like this in the US. Our hand sized "grab at the shop" pies are always fruit or pudding. I did make pasties once after a buddy from Wales told me what they were. I wound up using ground beef, mash and gravy. In hind sight, the gravy would have been better for dipping.
I'd love to see more of these vids! You ever use those "Easy-bake Ovens" back in the day!? Try making a full course meal with one of those! xD that'd be hilarious!
Hi 👋🏼 hallo 👋🏼 how’re ya doin’ 👋🏼 Great video, Sue! Very cool kitchen gadget, would be cool to see what other doohickeys you have! Hope you had a great weekend, and are having a fantastic week 💙
Oh for sure! I always keep an eye out for an old pie mould. The hand held wooden thing used to mould the pastry around, I'd love to find an antique one. ❤
Puff pastry in a clamshell pie maker? That DOES sound adventurous. I have never attempted to constrain the puff.... Edit: Ah! That worked very well! I wonder if I still have one of those toastie maker things?
"Pie magic" was the name of my routine when I worked as a male entertainer for retirement homes to get myself through high-school.
wot?
Its a good name tbh

Oh i wonder if that would work in this thing. I might try it xx
Definitely more random kitchen gadgets :).
Agreed, especially if they’re second hand/resale shop goodies!
Anything for you Bob ❤
Great to see ya, Bob! 👋🏼
I was a bit sceptical, but those pies look pretty damn good. It does what it says on the tin, you wait 8 minutes and get pure pie magic.
It didn't lie to me right enough ❤
Basically a jaffle but pie shaped? Great for leftover brisket or pulled pork. Any leftovers really. Well not leftover jelly obv.
A jaffle? I've never heard of those I had to google it they look like uncrustables? ❤
For camping we’d use something similar you’d stick in the fire, make grilled cheese, pizzas, pies, smores, take your pick.
But hold it over the fire ? That's amazing xx
I love buying weird gadgets like this used and trying them out. Never quite what you expect, but always entertaining.
Always worth a wee go I think ❤
Pies are life
Triple berry pies (blueberry, strawberry, and raspberry)
people prefer blackberry over strawberry but I prefer sweet over tart.
I'd love Blueberry, strawberry, blackberry
Omg that sounds delicious ❤
We don't do steak pies in the US, but we do have chicken/turkey pot pies which are just the best if you can find a local baker that does them.
Pot pies sound lovely, i had a wee google. You should try a wee steak pie ❤
I believe from memory my mum had one of these in the early to mid 90s
enjoyed it, don't know what happened to it
Maybe she gave it to a charity shop and I bought it 😂❤
When you lifted the lid to check it it looked like a face that was all dazzled 😂
Omg it did!!!! 😂
Beef pot pie, but I also wouldn't own a pie magic
That's fair ❤
Pie magik is the greatest kind of magik.
I agree ❤
Dash has a mini pie maker like this. Meat and chili pies would be best
Absolutely ❤ a wee mince pie would be banging

Great find as oddly some things from back then did work
Sometimes the oldies are the best
Have indulged in some 'Bushy Pie Magic' many a time but it never involved baking 😂.
Good for you lol

1000000% ❤

You need to make steak pies, im telling you, you'll never look back ❤
@@SueHulk I doubt I would lol! Those pasties were pretty good. I bet a cottage pie pie would be awesome.
