He can do it cos he's a chef. On the savoury crepe I would just put total quarter of teaspoon of salt. This is enough for taste as most savoury fillings contain salt. Otherwise it would be overloaded with salt which is really bad for you.
@PompeyChris71 it really depends on your taste, 1/4 tsp. of salt with this much batter is hardly any at all. But you are right, a lot of savory fillings have salt in them. So it definitely is a balancing act. Always better to error on the side of less salt, and allow the people eating them to add more salt if they like.

I’m making these as a surprise breakfast in bed for my mom. The filling will be 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 2 tablespoons sugar, and some pectin or gelatin. Then some freshly whipped cream. Thanks for such a quick and easy recipe!😀
I just went to Mexico a few weeks ago and the place I stayed at had a big buffet with AMAZING crepes. Our last day there at the resort I told my mom, dad, and brother that I wanted to get a crepe at lunch because I forgot to get one at breakfast. We didn’t go to the buffet at lunch so I couldn’t get the crepe which I was really disappointed and sad because they were the best crepes I have ever had and I’m not even joking. I just got back to my house around a week ago. I kept on craving crepes since I didn’t get that one the last day. Today for breakfast when I was making eggs and remembered that I could make crepes. I looked up a recipe and this was the first one that popped up. I made these crepes and it made 7 crepes. Me, my mom, and my brother each had a crepe. I didn’t know if they were going to be good since I made them all by my self. We topped them with Nutella, peanut butter (my mom and brother had the peanut butter but I didn’t), strawberries chunks, mango chunks, and cinnamon and sugar. Let me tell you these crepes are literally AMAZING!! They are even better than the ones in Mexico!! I am definitely saving this recipe for next time I want to make crepes. I would 10/10 recommend this recipe to anyone who likes or loves crepes!! I would rate these crepes 1000000000/10! Thank you so much for this recipe, me and my family definitely enjoyed these crepes today and I will make them for my friends soon too! Thank you!!
Thank you for the recipe and nice tutorial, I made my first crepes tonight and was impressed, I thought they were as good as the ones I've had at cafes.
I love your recipe, i work in a breakfast restaurant like 12 years ago in wisconsin and i loved the recipe they have and i tried yours and is wonderful too. I did your recipe here in Mexico and my wife and kids were satisfied with your recipe. Thank you .
hahaha yeah, I had the thought when I was editing to cut it out, but then was like, no, leave it in, so people don't think they have to be perfect in the kitchen! For sure! It's an experience in the kitchen. :) Glad you liked the video. Let me know how they turn out if you ever make them. :)
hi‼️‼️i know this is an old video but i’m still going to leave a comment: I followed your recipe to make a mille crepe cake for my mom’s birthday. I did have difficulty following instructions as i wasn’t the best around the kitchen (especially with handheld mixers!) but in the end, the cake was one that I actually enjoyed eating. my mom’s a professional pastry chef and though she did offer a lot of criticism, she said the crepe itself was good and she finished her whole slice‼️‼️ I’m going to continue perfecting my craft in crepe cakes using your recipe, and hopefully i end up something even better for her next year💕

Still the best recipe and crepe video on youtube🎉

Honestly this is the easiest explanation I’ve seen on how to make it and since it’s my first time making it im glad i have everything (now to make them lol)
Thank you!! Let me know how they turn out after making them.
Great recipe 👌 I used almond milk instead of milk for allergies reasons and they turned out amazing.
Thank you!! :) :) Glad you made them and liked them. :)
I was just about to ask this. Ty
Tried these and they were delicious and so simple to make! I always thought crepes would be too difficult but the instructions were super clear and worked well!
Awesome!! Glad you were willing to give it a try and liked it! Also, I am happy the instructions were clear.
This is definition of a true legend,5 years and he's still at it,and responding!
hahaha thank you!! :) Yep, I still try to reply to as many people as possible.
Brother, you need your own tv show! The way you talked us through every step is beyond amazing 🙏🏻. Peace, Love, and happiness to you ☺️
Thank you, I appreciate it!!
I really liked this video because Matt uses home tools, whereas in other videos that I watched they used all kinds of fancy spatula things and crepe pans
Thank you Susana! :) Glad you like it. :) Yeah I try to make it as easy as possible. I do have some fancy kitchen gadgets that I like to use once in awhile. lol :)
This was by far the best cooking video I’ve ever seen. He has such a great and fun personality that makes it so fun to watch, and I actually learned a lot from this video. Now I can make great crepes for my family. Thanks Matt! ❤️
Aww thank you so much, such a nice compliment. :)

“Love strawberriessssss, almost as much as baaaacon” 😂😂 SAME!
I successfully made my first ever Crepes for Mother’s Day using your video for the recipe and how to cook them. They turned out great! Thanks.
Awesome!! Glad you watched the video and tried them out.
Same lol

He’s a sweetheart
Thank you!!
Awesome! So glad you found this recipe and were able to make them at home and liked them. You are very welcome!
Thank you for the recipe and nice tutorial, I made my first crepes tonight and was impressed, I thought they were as good as the ones I've had at cafes.
You are very welcome!! Glad you were successful and enjoyed them. :)
Every time I make crepes I come back to this recipe. It was really good. Thanks!
Well thank you, Brianna! :) :) You are welcome!

Best crepe recipe I’ve found. Thanks!!
So happy to hear that! You are very welcome!
I love your recipe, i work in a breakfast restaurant like 12 years ago in wisconsin and i loved the recipe they have and i tried yours and is wonderful too.
I did your recipe here in Mexico and my wife and kids were satisfied with your recipe.
Thank you .
Awesome! Glad you found the video and tried the recipe and liked it!
Hahah, I like how you sorta failed at the first flip. Shows that it's ok for me to fail too later and just fix it and not panic
hahaha yeah, I had the thought when I was editing to cut it out, but then was like, no, leave it in, so people don't think they have to be perfect in the kitchen! For sure! It's an experience in the kitchen. :) Glad you liked the video. Let me know how they turn out if you ever make them. :)
I just tried this and I felt like a chef 😂 they were so good!!! Thank you for this life saving video!!! ❤︎
Awesome, Joana!! :) :) Glad you were able to try them and liked them. You are welcome!
Just tried it,it was amazing so soft and goes perfectly with nutella!!
Glad you made it and loved it! :) :)
What's Nutella??? It sound's like it's a brand.
@@erinphilcox1326 It is a popular brand of hazelnut spread. :)
hi‼️‼️i know this is an old video but i’m still going to leave a comment: I followed your recipe to make a mille crepe cake for my mom’s birthday. I did have difficulty following instructions as i wasn’t the best around the kitchen (especially with handheld mixers!) but in the end, the cake was one that I actually enjoyed eating. my mom’s a professional pastry chef and though she did offer a lot of criticism, she said the crepe itself was good and she finished her whole slice‼️‼️ I’m going to continue perfecting my craft in crepe cakes using your recipe, and hopefully i end up something even better for her next year💕
Glad you tried it and make a crepe cake with the crepes. Keep practicing!
I’ve made this so many times and it always ends up delicious!
So happy you keep making it! :)
I'm doing this for Mother's Day Thank you so much! :)
Awesome, Emily! You are very welcome! :)
Wish me luck! Cooking this for my parents tomorrow morning ^^
Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
