Reminded me of 25 years ago at university when my friends guide dog stopped at the entrance to each pub on the way to the shops when her parents were visiting one weekend! Mum we often go in here? @@redss111 I am biased because he is my guide dog, but honestly, he has changed my life and given me my confidence and independence. I love showing everybody what he can do and my travels and daily life with him. XX

Thank you so much for your message, and many apologies in the delay in responding. I personally like to walk over a route with a sighted person giving me a visual description of what's around so I can get a map in my mind of where things are. I would usually like to know how many road crossings, do I pass any restaurants, little shops or supermarkets, and anything else I would find useful along the way. Once I have done that, depending on the length of the route and how complicated it is, I like to break it up so it's more manageable to learn. Again depending on how complicated the route is I would then work with Marty and give it a good go. Some places we go to. We have never been before and we just rock with it.
