um...by the looks of it the lower unit never made contact with the ground, who's the credit card captain ? that lower units done...maybe find something else to film mr googan...
ever hear of a skeg? the thing that's missing from the very bottom of the lower unit? didn't think so
lol. You serious now or do you ride a stand up ski. The main impact was the motor and skeg.
Googan lol?
@@CreditCardCaptain "You serious now or do you ride a stand up ski" 😂 seriously though, I just looked at his channel and it's equally bizarre and hilarious. He's some burnt out old dude who livestreams into the void and sounds like a Baker act waiting to happen.
That's why I always strap down the back of my boat to the trailer, no matter what.
Indeed, I’ve seen this happen once and the the owner only had one strap over the top of the keel. Just like here, the accident wasn’t the owner’s fault, but had it been ratcheted down on both transom hooks it would not have come loose. Still would have been damaged but at least not laying in the middle of the road and had to be dragged up a roll back.
Exactly!
@@RustyZipper I can't picture one strap over the top of the keel.
@@allenwilliams6882 I think he probably means over the skeg on the outboard, from one corner to the other of the trailer. It's not a good way to secure a boat, but even that's better than nothing.
I really appreciate good “recovery” work with this winches, hoists, cables, and straps. Actually dangerous work that’s an art.
Never a dull moment with Credit Card Captain!
Glad you enjoy!
Thats really sad... as long as everybody is ok thats all that genuinely matters.. don't text and drive.. don't drink and drive either...
I'm betting that if he had straps on the transom of that boat, it would have stayed on the trailer, but only if he flicked them and said, "yup, she ain't goin' nowhere."
Only if they're old, frayed, sun bleached ratchet straps that the guy found in the corner of his garage 27 years ago when he moved in.
Indeed, I’ve seen this happen once and the the owner only had one strap over the top of the keel. Just like here, the accident wasn’t the owner’s fault, but had it been ratcheted down on both transom hooks it would not have come loose. Great video. Post more often
I had a brand new trailer fail while towing a Carlile Cutter on I-4 across from Parker boats. Had I-4 shut down until tow trucks dragged the carnage to side of road. Had to get a crane to lift the remains on a new trailer. Bad day....
That boat took that impact like you'd expect a Boston Whaler would.
One of my dream boats right here. With the two tone color, T top and white mercury outboard.
i must have just missed that. i pass that spot 2 times a day. even worse is this is directly after the more prominent beach bridge, traffic is always bad there on fridays. that thing basically dropped right in front of city hall lol
"You can't park there, sir"
I don't need no stinking transom straps! The boat's too heavy to fall off the trailer! Don't need no brakes either. I suspect if he had transom straps the damage would have been a lot less.
love the show capt!
That vehicle right there, that ran in to it, just bought that man a new boat.
Thanks for the share
Glad you didn't rub them the wrong way. I know if that was me. I wouldn't want no one coming up talking to me, i'd be so embarrassed.😢
That will buff right out.
Looked like an awesome adventure for you.
Should be able to buff that out. Skeg? We don't need no stinking skeg.
So much for the gone fishing. At least the people walked away unharmed
Time to start watching copart for the boat auction.
Bummer. That's what insurance is for. Still, the boat will never be pristine new again. If the lower unit took most of the blow when it hit the road, maybe it is just gelcoat repair & no CRUSHED glass underneath the gelcoat? Check for stress crack structural integrity where motor bolts through transom....
Nice Stealy!
That roll back pulling the cable sideways is using a “SNATCH” block they run the cable through the pulley on the block to move it where they want.
How much would you like to bet that the driver that ran in to the back of the boat was looking directly at their cell phone?
Prolly going to try to say there’s no brake lights or such. Hopefully driver will get ticketed for following too close.
Agree with being on cell
thumbs up for blubs
Apparently it’s not the first time that the lower unit was changed
I had no idea they could put a boat on a flatbed. That was impressive.
sad sight to see, i bet owner and friends were excited to get out on the water
❤ that boat...
Buff right out. 😂
and it was a Nice pristine Whaler
My home lake is over pool due to all the rain we've had in east texas, I just watched a dodge 3500 sink the back axle to load their boat. I was going to try to send it to you but it wouldn't click a link.
That Kia owner's insurance will be shocked at the boat's price tag.
Love the channel. I’ve an unrelated question to the rear ended whaler.
Can anyone tell me why your boats have right hand drive and cars left?
You can have a steering wheel put on the very front of the boat if you want just depends what people want to buy
Because the vast majority of sailors were right-handed, these oars were placed on the right side, and the tradition lives on today. The right side of a boat is even called the “starboard” side, which originated from the word “steerboard”
Because, you need better visibility to your right. According to the Rules of the Road, boats coming from your starboard side are the stand-on vessel, and you are the burdened vessel. (If you don't understand the terms, look them up.) Also, note that nothing is said about Right of Way. That's a road traffic term not used in the Colregs.
Wonder if he had transom strapped down always tie down!
a few years ago my little brother bought a 2016 seahunt. 4 months later my dad was trailering it and someone knocked down some power lines that land on his truck then getting caught in the T-top ripping it off the whole center console.
Fishing season is over for these guys.
That definitely sucks!
It’s a real pleasure watching pros operate. My compliments to these fine tow pros.
i hope you are being sarcastic.
Oh heck it will buff right out! ;
Bet the first words of the boat owner upon impact were, " What the #?*!"
The real crime to this is that the car driver will be in an insurance supplied rental car and hardly have any inconvenience. The boat owner will be without his boat for as long as it takes to fix it (months) and probably not get out this boating season with zero recourse.
Lawsuit.
Of course we don’t know who’s fault the accident was yet.
That's why I moor at the marina. Yes, it is expensive but I don't have to deal with this.
The real crime here is the Boston whaler even after it has been repaired will never be the same. You would have to be a Boston whaler owner to understand that
@@theone4929 -what’s better? Boston Whaler or Grady White?
@@shortaybrown they are both equally top-of-the-line offshore boats with the only difference being the Boston whaler is unsinkable because of its design. I am spastic so I bought the Boston whaler, however it was a difficult decision because the Grady whites are awesome too
This is heartbreaking
Why is he not using trailer tie down straps?
Apt name on the suv that hit him "Killed in Action".
Hi credit card captain I was the kid in the blonde hair at the boat ramp that said I had a TH-cam
At new symerna
Awwww heartbreaking. They caught a whopper and didn't even get into the water.
Yikes!
Looks like a 2025 boat to me that thing is toast
A1A beach front avenue
Dropped boats usually get totaled.
As a whaler owner that was hard to watch
He might get it back by Memorial Day.
😮ouch
As a boater, this just hurts to see.
Well this is why you have insurance. Shit happens and if a boat like this is in your budget it is just another day. Boats can be replaced with bigger and better ones!
Damage cost?
$20,000+ for the boat plus ~$7000 for a new trailer.
Kudos to the debit card/ plastic money Captain for arriving at this fascinating scene quick, like a first responder.
And props to the tow truck guys for getting that mess onto the flatbed as a single unit.
I didn’t think it could be done.
@@shortaybrown The starting price is $15,500, the most expensive is $39,900, and the average price of $24,899. My second opinion matches shortaybrown's.
That's so sad.
A simple pair of transom straps would have probably prevented this, bummer.
I haven't been app that way on long time. Got family at live up there? I needed to make my rounds
Sad for sure
I feel bad it looks expensive
‘‘Tis but a scratch
That's sad.
If I was the insurance company, I wouldn't be paying for that. Pure negligence. Unsecured load.
Oooops
It need a new trailer
I’d be sick to my stomach
There’s no water in that gutter. How’s he expect the boat to float in it without water and rain?
Tie downs anybody......also, 3 wreckers is embarrassing.....
Can you spell”texting “
DAt chiT will buff out
Thats some road rash that no one should buy.
Dude should have grabbed his troilling motor. Garantee its gone now
You know, this guy is completely embarrassed.
Stop rubbing it in please. By the way I like the channel
i'll go 1500$ on the package?
$1600…
Are you nuts?
The real crime is the amount of stupidity insurance covers..there’s little to any accountability for one’s actions anymore..everything’s just excused as an accident and insurance left to cover the damages…there’s times and coincidences that out of pocket should apply..
*YOU CAN'T PARK THERE* .
His pride and joying destroyed by a dumb driver.
There is no excuse for this. Boats belong in the water. You planned to own a boat and now you must take care of it. It is expensive, but the joy you obtain by the freedom of exploring the local waters by anchoring out in a quiet bay with your better half is priceless. C.C. Capt. I love your show and calm criticisms.
not sure what you mean... he was heading to the water and was hit... sooooo what is it you are even talking about???
4:34 Stance nation bro! /s Can't stand that stupid shit.
How embarrassing
You can't dock there.
Excuse me but you can't park there!!
Shouldn't own a boat.
wasn't the owners fault though... another car hit him lol
I own a boat. an '87 SeaOx with an '89 Johnson 225. Cost me $9k in 2001. Only put a little GASOLINE in it every year for past 23 years. Least expensive thing I own... and it's gorgeous.
BUT TODAY.. same thing will cost you $45k - $65K & if you're a dummy who can only cut checks or CREDIT CARD for all work done on his boat... you'll go broke.
@@jeffrandolf5673 If you love boating and the solace of anchoring out in a quiet cove, then money doesn't matter You do it.🛥
Someone hit them and now they shouldn't own a boat ? 😂 so i gen just shoot ur boat and now u shouldn't own a boat forever ? 😂 use ur brain
Was he boat not strapped to the trailer?
