Amazing system they got there, these guys must REALLY want to fish! I was impressed by how good the traction of the tractor was. No obvious wheel spin at all in the sand. And we complain about lousy ramps that don't have a dock right next to them!
Well… that’s a lot more time consuming that what I’m used to doing here, but they seem to have that system down to a science… I see people talking about “that’s one tough eye hook on the bow”, a couple years ago a 16 foot boat sank next to my neighbors dock. We dove down, tied a rope to the eye on the front of that boat and hooked it up to the neighbors 21 footer, he took off up river and snatched that boat up off the bottom 20 feet down. The normal eye hooks in the front are stronger than you think
Awesome..gives me an idea how to launch and retrieve my boat from the 2 ponds on our farm....that I need to clean out...I just need have the welding shop make me a hitch to hook up to my 3 point tractor lift...Thanks so much for both videos...
Yeah, I guess when you have that kind of money you can do it that way! Steel or Aluminum bottom on boat, tractor, electric wenches, not to mention 100K boat or more. Good on you. We po folks can't do it that way..
Watch the stress cracks appear around the hitch eye on the boat after doing that a few dozen times. They may claim it's re-enforced, but I bet the superstructure of the boat behind it isnt lol.
Why don’t they just bring the boat up onto the trailer while in the water? Is it because normally the waves are bigger an it would be dangerous and difficult? I would have thought the way they are doing it would not be good for the hill of the boat dragging along the sand.
Tractor should have been backing trailer under the boat. And the winch just turning over slowly to take the weight up of the wire. Not a good idea dragging the hull of a boat.
dont understand it....why take the added risk of getting parallel with the waves and knifed into the sand when you can run a flat bottom - sacrifice some speed for a lot of safety. V-bottom boats will naturally knife in where the deadrise is most in the bow, then the boat will spin parallel with the waves. or knife in at speed and flip. seems unnecessary
@Goodbye Mr. Anderson jon boat what? there is a 200 year old history of launching and landing dories though surf. the hull design is proven and super easy to handle landing and trailering with a tilt trailer and flat rollers. These days flat bottomed semi-dories of the 20-25ft class are landed on the beach in a few spots on the west coast of the US. th-cam.com/video/jpi9AYDpwTQ/w-d-xo.html
Beat up your boat and equipment like that......because your too lazy to drive 15 miles to a launch? I would stay on dry before I abuse my hard earned toys like that.
Dick Little we have areas where the land is relatively cheap near good fishing locations but usually they have only very slight beaches & there can be 500 meters from the high tide mark to the low tide mark, so not very attractive for businesses there isn’t much in the way of services (ie gravel roads ect) & they can be 50 kms away from the nearest proper town, many keen recreational fishermen have built holiday houses in these areas because of its affordability & they do what they need to to launch their boats.

Good to see people using their boats for what they’re meant to be used for. Fishing!! not to impress others.
Hating just to hate. What the fuck are you even talking about here?
It seems awfully hard on the boat and trailer launching like that.
Some very nice boats. This launch & take out, is rough on them. When I get cross ways with my bass boat I get frustrated.
Its a drive on trailer..........use it for what it was designed for mate.
Most times it's too windy, shallow and breaking waves to hang around on the water's edge.

That is on e tough bow hook for sure.

Nice boat deer meat
All this trouble for a boat ride?
Probably the most ridiculous boat retrieval I have ever seen.Talk about making the job hard Phew !!!
So how would you do it in water that shallow on a beach .
it must be hard to do all that when your upside down
not really and you dont need a bilge pump
I prefer having a harbor rather than a tractor ?
Isn't it just easier to build a boat ramp?
yes
And i complain when i cant get my boat in and out of the ramps in florida. baaaahahaha what a pain in the arce
Thats because you need a boat ramp. Or would you back your BIG RAM out to the door handles.

What the flounder?

Bet you it is. Because its made to be taken out like this
The estimated 30:1 reduction is genius...
can you share the details of the electric winch setup?
what would you like to know ?
Old Landrover starter motor linked up with a high cranking amp battery
pulleys to match your winch
I'd like some photos/pics of the setup please
oziexplorer@gmail.com
I live in Perth, BTW
Thanks

@@ledgepoint41 same can i also get some details and pics? tyroneachee@gmail.com, thanks
Why not just get the trailer lined up and then drive it on?
Normally too rough and too shallow.
i dont get it, why not back the trailer in the water?
Well done on a great lifestyle , what an area , I bet the fishing is nutso when it goes off , in a location like that. !!!
I would be a lot more impressed if the trailer had self aligning skids and was driven onto the trailer.. that's one way of doing it tho
Nothin like sanding down the bottom of the boat
Guess that's why it is not painted - or was it?
Good video

yet, he came up on the beach, he didn't have no one to pick him up
Pretty cool
Was the boat ramp too busy?
What boat ramp? Aint one.
Totally awesome !!!
Is that a retractable transducer and obviously no trim tabs
Mike McManus the transducer is on a sliding stainless steel plate
More on the belt and wheel to Winch
Clever rig.. 👍
Great for the hull to drag it across the sand
Well that will test a bow eye
To sharp bro ,not for the soft
Nicely done
U should see those boys up in Alaska doing this 😅
That looks like Lancelin
fully sick m8
lindo vídeo
Is this in Australia
T.H Films
Yep 130k north of Perth
Fuckin oath mate
Hdxds
Gelcoat won't make it running down the beach to a trailer. It would all peel off. Gotta love aluminum boats..
Been there done that!
I guess the boat ramp was real busy that day.
do you guys just not have boat ramps lol
Right job
im sure australian do thing different than american
How very odd my good fellow when the craft is already in the water put it on the trailer instead of dragging it up the beach.
Not a dumb statement. We do it all the time on the south coast. Reverse tractor in drive boat on and away you go. Trick is in the trailer!
Tractor should have been backing trailer under the boat. And the winch just turning over slowly to take the weight up of the wire. Not a good idea dragging the hull of a boat.
barry stevens aluminium boats couldn’t care less about sand on the hull
This has been perfected at Deep Creek, Alaska
I'm so jelly 😳
?
I'm so jealous 😂
@@Salty-Squirrel this is how i now do it 😄

A lot better than those clowns in alaska
🌊🍂
Why not just drive the boat on iin the ocean it's not hard and much quicker
What drive the boat and the tractor at the same time?
That's just not right! Slick as.
big boat
amazing
I would move or just rent a boat or become a biker instead and buy my fish
Nelson Fernandez that would be great less idiot's
Still get idiots on the road Tony.
are you nuts.

Wow no way in hell.....
By far the stupidest way to put a boat on a trailer.
Beat up your boat and equipment like that......because your too lazy to drive 15 miles to a launch?

It's a fucking plate boat mate, no gel coat to fuck up. These things get beached day in and day out no issues
Blake Phillips Tear it up (mate) it’s your boat and trailer. IDGAF 👊
Lou Dog unfortunately we don’t have the same access to facility’s as you guys, &this video was taken on a nice day....

Dumbass way to recover the boat.
The most unprofessional boat retrieval I have ever watched . Dangerous and shocking
