Rod and reel ami. I met your mother in law today super nice lady. She asked me what I’m doing on Easter and I said fishing. She said my future son in law is a huge fisherman with his own channel called sea ya dude. I said I subscribe. Seems like a great guy. She said he is. Small world.
I've tried doing catch and cook videos in the past and I'm personally not a fan of filming while I cook. But, the three ways I like to cook pompano is either on the grill with the skin on with some lemon and italian seasoning, blackened either on it's own or in a sandwich, or in a pan with some butter, olive oil, thyme and lemon
My brother used that one that you were using but he try at fishing pier under the bridge and he catch what you catch and I also went bay and gulf pier and I only catch small fish.
Nice video. Absolutely love fresh fish. Blackened pompano is so good. That being said Fwc really needs to cut back on these very loose / Democratic bag limits on inshore fish. Theres absolutely no reason any species of fish should be over 2 maybe 3 fish per person. ( Especially inshore considering how easily accessible they are to get vs offshore ) 5 , 6 , 7 or more per person is absolutely ridiculous and over harvesting Personal I think reds , snook and trout need to be one person. ( And add seasons back to reds and trout ) Snapper , sheepshead, Pompano , whiting , flounder need to be 3 per person. ( Add seasons to these fish as well )
For all the pier fishermen, what's your favorite pier to go to? This was my first time at Fort De Soto and it's already high on my list

She told me about that this afternoon! Such a small world haha
My favorite pier is the Jax Beach Fishing pier. You can catch all kinds of species from whiting to barracuda. Good drum fishing.
My favorite is Johnnie Mercers, but I go to Kure Beach to beat the crowds.
Havent done piers since I was a kid, so if Im at Ft Desoto, I wade out at East Beach and catch massive specks and reds on live shrimp!
Had a blast dude!!! 🔥 🔥

Awesome vid yall!
Thanks dude!
Yes one of the first. Love your channel. My favorite fishing channel. You should try to offshore Sheepshead fish while they are offshore.
Thank you! And I'll need to give that a shot once this wind calms down
You two are a blast together, especially when you fill the meat box. Great vid brother, I watch both your channels
Thanks!
Great job, Dude!
Question: are you going to do any cook vids on the pompano? And what styles of cooking, you and Thonny use.? Thanks.

Awesome stuff, dude
Thanks dude!
Nicely done 🤙🏽 Great video 👍🏽🔥
Thank you!
Nice job and thanks for the tips
You’re welcome 👍
Nice... love there new music!
Thanks!
Fish on weekdays if you want to avoid a chaotic fishing experience at Ft. DeSoto. If the Gulf pier is too packed, go to the Bay pier.
This was on a Wednesday so I can’t even imagine it on the weekends
@@SeeYaDude don't even bother going on weekends. They need a second Gulf pier to handle all the extra fishermen.
been going to fort desoto for 10 years now, from the dog beach to kayaking to fishing is just an amazing place.
I smoke the larger pomp’s as their oily flesh makes for great flavor. Try it if you have a lot to eat…👍
I’m team Meeee 🎣🎣🎣🎣😁😁😁 nice video when are you guys are going to invite me ,ha ha🔥🔥🔥
Nice new pier, looks like they built it too narrow to me! Fished the old pier since it was built! Great spot! Enjoy the channel !
Thank you! And yeah I agree the Bay pier felt a little narrow at times
Nice job showing everyone that you don't have to own a boat to catch fish,
Man I fishing with my kids many times there but never caught pompano. Damn need to try another strategy
The pompano bite has been great the past couple weeks if you get out there soon!
My brother used that one that you were using but he try at fishing pier under the bridge and he catch what you catch and I also went bay and gulf pier and I only catch small fish.
Do you prefer 15 or 20 lb test for leiter?
That’s Tampa’s premier pomp spot. Both piers
Sure looks like it from the day we had there
Nice video. Absolutely love fresh fish. Blackened pompano is so good.
