Hi wandering
First of all thank you so much for your efforts and such a great video
Could you please guide me is it benefit to buy gold from Vietnam
Thanks for your lovely comment ❤️❤️. Though i haven’t researched on this topic much. Let me check around the prices for 10gm gold but it may be another question that how much a person is actually allowed to wear and take home during customs.
Hi love your videos. I will be travelling soon, should I opt for a forex card or use my debit card instead? Pls advise
Good job
🙏🏾
I am just back from Vietnam. I carried 35k INR. Stupidly enough, I first converted 10k at airport and got 220 dong for a rupee at Ho Chi Minh. Then, later at a jewelry store near Ben Tanh market and got 260 dong and exchanged 15k INR. Later in Hanoi, I found another Jeweler in Old Quarter who gave me a rate of 275 dong per rupee. During my final days of the trip, I withdrew 5k INR equivalent from a atm, and got 289 dong value per rupee in Hanoi
Thanks for sharing your experience. I hope this helps others
Tusshaar were you carrying INR or USD from India?
@@WanderingSoulOfficial INR Cash. And to my great surprise, INR conversion wasn’t hard at all. Every Conversion place I went to accepted INR.
@@tusshaarsharma5302 😲 that's really something I didn't knew before. Very valuable input. Thanks 🙏
@@tusshaarsharma5302, I'm travelling to Vietnam in August. Can you please tell me at which jewellery shop you exchanged in Hanoi (Old Quarters)? Did they accept INR?
Thank u👍🏻 how much Dong we can carry ? Is there any limit
You’re welcome. No limit of bringing or spending money. Welcome to Vietnam 🇻🇳
Hi , I'm traveling Vietnam by the 8th of Dec, could u please tell me how much Vietnamese currency i can carry from India ? Is there any restriction in this ?
Hi there, you could easily carry upto 5000 USD . I think that’s an outrageous amount of cash unless you wanna do everything luxury in cash lol
Bro what are the charges if we swipe our card per transaction? Are they same as ATM withdrawal? And which is better option between the two
ATM withdrawals are safe and secure options. For every 3 mil vnd max at Agribank you only pay 22,000 vnd I.e almost a dollar. Rest I’m not sure what your bank would charge you.
If you're going be exchanging USD make sure the bills are in perfect condition or it's a good chance you're bills will be rejected.
Hi,
We have the options to carry VND currency to Vietnam from India.
So please suggest is it better to carry VND currency worth of 25k INR or should we convert 25k INR to USD in India and then exchange USD to VND in Vietnam HCMC?
Hi, if you’re getting good conversation directly to VND then take it. People don’t use USD here so anyway you have to convert. Hope this helps. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Please suggest some Indian vegetarian restaurant at Sapa planning to visit in mid March
I’m not sure if Sapa would have any Indian restaurants. But finding vegetarian food should be okay . Look for Com Chay on google maps
Planning on 27th September
You're welcome
Recently completed my journey to Vietnam bro! After a lot of research I didn't go for the currency exchange as they cut charges from both sides and I didn't have forex card so I set up a niyo digital account and ordered a travel card for free...used my bank account to send money to the online niyo account and upon arrival I withdrew 2m vnd from agribank atm with 22k charge and 2m vnd next time again. And many ATMs impose a limit like 2 or 2.5m vnd of withdrawal.
A lot of viewers have been asking for the Niyo Digital.. I hope this helps others. Thanks for the feedback and sharing your experience.
Will ATM debit cards work? In my view NIYO global card is almost identical but with less charges?
@@Vaibhavpandey2 I haven't used Niyo. ATM cards work absolutely fine.
@@Vaibhavpandey2 Hi, I had SBI GLOBAL debit too...but I didn't use it. In normal debit cards they will give you less money after conversion. Like 5-10% less but Niyo gives you the conversion which you see on Google. And remember ATMs will always levy their charges regardless of the cards you use. So go for Agribank...just 22k...lowest charge for every transaction.
@@avikdas3545 I heard Niyo Global is not accepted everywhere. Is it true ? Also, is getting cash out of ATM better than directly transacting through Niyo card ?
Do all atm cards of all Indian banks work in Vietnam
Mostly yes but please see that your card has a chip. Nowadays Vietnam is using cards with chip.
Can we take 2000 inr notes with us in Vietnam and then get them converted into Dong. Or do we need to take 500 inr notes only
You can easily withdraw money here using atm . INR is not widely accepted when converting only some would agree to exchange for you
Can we withdraw from our normal ATM cards like kotak , icici etc ? Can we use these debit cards directly for transactions?
BIDV on display you mentioned 55000 VND
But verbally said 30000 VND which is true ?
Thanks for bringing that up. It’s 30,000 vnd per transaction. Please see that I haven’t used it personally.
Vietnam local shop se US Dollar accept ye....?
Not really. Usd could be accepted at few places but mostly VND is good for transactions because then it’s difficult to convert and pay change money. Get VND else it may be a bit of a hassle
Vietnam me bank account kese khulega...an icici bank yaa gpay chlta he wha
Traveler account open hota hai but I’m not sure of the process. Agar aap employed ho Vietnam mein to koi bhi bank mein account open ho jayega.
ICICI bank ka atm chalta hai .. gpay not common and I have never used it
When you use an ATM to withdraw 2M VND, how much money gets deducted from your account in INR?
That I’m not sure my friend . I never had the opportunity to check with my bank but someone suggested that the only money gets deducted is local fee and withdrawal amount. Please check with your bank to confirm. Thanks

That would have given a more usable comparison of conversion. BTW my brother just returned from Vietnam and got some cash for me at 1Rs. = 290VND. That looks good what do you say?
@@himanshukhurana1593 that looks okay looking at the conversion rate online..
Vietnam me kon kon se jobs available h isme plis video banayiye n

Visa fees of 25 dollar can I pay it on Vietnam dong
If there is an option online which I think there is.
Can I withdraw instead of converting?
Yes, you can easily use the ATM to withdraw local money
Can i UPI transfer and get dong?
UPI to who? You must check with whosever you plan to exchange with. Unfortunately I can't guide you on this
Is niyo global card accepted in Vietnam? and if it is then is it good option for carrying less hard cash and use Card there?
I'm not sure of Niyo Global. If you don't want to carry hard cash I'd recommend you to use ATM (Agri bank) has the minimal fee
Did you used niyo card in your trip. Was it helpful?
Please let us now it will be most helpful. Thansk
@@navjotsinghsohal8191 Ji personally I have never used it,. I have always been using my debit card here and works fine for me. ATM's are also fine to use and safe.
Right now I am in Vietnam and Niyo Global card is accepted here.
@@pranitdeshmukh9772 thanks for the wonderful information. Have you tried withdrawal . Was it successfull and about charges?
But what if i carry Inr can it be converted directly
Good question. It can't be converted everywhere to my knowledge. In big cities like HCMC and Hanoi you may find many Indians running businesses and they will be happy to exchange for you. Also, few jewelers may accept it. I have never tried it personally since I had no cash but a subscriber tried it and was successful doing it. Hope this helps
Really bad distractions there - mixing up old video clips WITH AUDIO during speech. Couldn’t understand a single word there. Also there are no captions to follow what you said there. And to special mention - those irritating tring-tring bells.
