Sometimes when the food is so abysmal or outlandish I start to picture myself in an apocalypse or war scenario to motivate myself to finish all of it. I find that it works wonders tricking my mind into believing the food tastes better than it actually is by changing some sort of imaginary context as to how it got onto my plate.
You know that Simpsons clip where Homer comdenses a pound of spaghetti into a bar, eats it, then immediately calls the hospital? Getting those kind of vibes.
Sab, you don't need gelatin for pasta to take a shape you want. it has starch which will make it naturally take the shape of whatever mold you put it on once it cools down. I was horrified seeing the packet of gelatin and i don't wanna imagine the texture of that abomination
I kind of accomplished this with ramen. I wanted Ramen noodles for lunch back in high school so I boiled some noodles, drained them and put it in a square plastic container with a sprinkling of season packet and then headed off for the bus. By the time lunch rolled around, I opened the container and......maybe I didn't get enough starch out of the noddles, maybe I packed them in the container too tightly, but the whole thing came out in a perfectly shaped cube, to the point where I could slice it like a meatloaf.
And it was the best thing ever. I've done something similar. I generally microwave my ramen because if I'm eating ramen it doesn't deserve being cooked in a pot. There's several ways I cook my micro-ramen, and one of them is just cooking it until all the water is boiled out/absorbed and it's mostly just a wad of squishy pasta. Ate a bit of that then threw the leftovers in the fridge. Got into it the next day and it was a vaguely half sphere slab of seasoned carbs. Surprisingly tasty with a pretty good mouth feel.

for anyone willing to try it, just get rid of anything geatin related. instead, as sabuuchi correctly did, you should fry the spaghetti. Instead of making it hold with the gelatin, incorporate the sauce with the pasta before putting it in the molds, and then freeze the cubes before battering and frying. The frozen cube should allow you to batter it properly and fry while holding most of it's shape, and once the batter has taken, it's ggs
