If you push the curls up the tube after you twist it around, the curls you'll get from the 'braid' version are AMAZING! I noticed your hair wasnt wrapping so much in either style, but they were especially angled in the 2nd version. Try keeping your wrap more horizontal, and you'll get better curls.
I love using this method! I need to get the thin tube you have here, cuz I find the tube curls easier than the robe curls, but as you stated, they're often looser waves on thin haired girlies! 😊

Love this video and your detailed explanation! 🙌 I often find the hair at the back of my head comes out straight; with all my curl at the front.

I've been using this method for years now with a light breathable scarf. It's great for everyday curls. I'll only use a curling iron for special occasions now. Love this!

I sleep with my hair on top of my head in a pony and put a large bendable foam roller in the pony tail. I take it out in the morning and it looks like I had my hair styled. I also sleep on a silk pillowcase- I use to have a lot of breakage from my hair rubbing on the pillow. The silk is good for your hair and your skin on your face.

On Amazon the curlers are called Glam Curls by Conair. I would suggest the method for any person with fine and thinner hair.

Have you tried the reverse method yet? So, the second method but starting from the neck, left and right over the head like braid. I got a lot of curls with that all over but need to practice a bit with neatness.
