Can I just say, thank f*** for your channel. I must have watched a million ‘fine, thin, hair..’ videos and in each, they all have 10 times more hair than I do! Your hair is like my own and you really have worked out how to make it look lovely and much thicker. Finally some videos and products I can trust. Most products people recommend, just do nothing for my extra thin hair. Thanks for doing these vids. I’m so conscious about my hair loss.
Omg I was thinking the same exact thing! I’m so tired of seeing girls (or models) claiming to have “thin” hair when clearly they have never seen thin hair?? Appreciate this video so much.
Thank you girl! Our hair is very similar. It seems that most hair tutorials are created by women with thick luxurious hair that's already gorgeous without the product or tool. Which is fantastic for them! No sarcasm, just respect ( and a lil bit of envy 😉 ). But... with fine, thin hair, the gorgeous hairstyles found on Pinterest/ TH-cam just leave me turning to that bottle of Dry Shampoo, tired arms, and frustration. After years of this same old rigmarole I've stopped trying, but was interested in this product. No Heat, Healthy, Easy, and reminiscent of our grandmother's time. You Rocked it! Your curls are luxurious and will only improve as ya figure out how to place that band. Though, wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to perfectly place it, sleep on our backs like a vampire and buy silk pillow cases to match our comforters?
Just hit the top and bottom few inches with a straight iron- that seemed to fix it from ragged to polished for me-same hair length, thin and does t hold curls. I think I did one manual straight iron beach wave to fix a front piece and it stayed all day through hauling furniture to classroom, sweating profusely , teaching and into a a late evening. Lots of compliments
Hi - just some suggestions that may help. On all of the tutorials that I have seen start hair as damp not wet. And there is a crisscross technique that you can try, pulling and wrapping a section from the front alternating with a section from the back. I have the same fine and thin hair. Good luck.
Loved it! Did it last night. Easy to sleep in. I had volume and fullness. Fully dried makes all the difference, plus styling gel. My hair is super thin. Thank you ❤
Influencers never let their hair dry long enough when they do these heatless curls tutorials lol. But this one is definitely helpful for my thin hair and I will try it. Thanks!
Next time try using a little mousse or a little leave in conditioner after dampening your hair for a little more hold before wrapping it and let it dry completely. I would love to see your results. Thank you!
I appreciate your channel so much!!! I have very similar hair(when not wearing a wig lol) and whenever I look for hair tips, it's always people with thick hair
This is a great idea. I know a bathrobe belt is too thick for my hair but I bet a silk belt from a summer robe would work. I was getting things ready and got to thinking what I could use. A knee sock or a those stretchy cloth headbands that you could cut and make to make it long enough. I'm happy to try your technique though, I tried 4 little buns and it made my hair crazy curly but no curl at the crown. I used a volumizer and a setting spray and nothing. So I'm hoping yours works. I like when when someone who knows what they're doing does it first.
I have the same kind of hair as you and I would try to find a thinner belt. That bathroom belt looks too thick for your hair type. It’s such a struggle with fine thin hair but I’m going to give this a try., maybe spray with my favorite volumizer for thin hair made by John Frieda - it’s very light. Thanks so much for sharing!
Such a fun experiment! I also wanted to try the amazon heatless curlers, I actually heard they’re legit! I think there’s a brand that makes the бигуди out of something similar to silk so you can comfortably sleep in them overnight. Might be worth trying!
Had no idea what they’re called in Russian. Haha, thanks for that info. I have the “Amazon choice” ones in my cart but those sound good, esp if you’re going to be sleeping in them.
Did you have a mirror at first, doing your right side? Because if you didn't , it looked much prettier when you did your left side in front of the mirror, after wrapping in the robe I mean. I really need the tutorial to show me how to do it.
I had some very stressful years that lead to me losing lots of my hairs due to fallin and breakagge, the scalm is getting thicker but itll take so long for it to recover. Ive been feeling so ugly and disgusted by my hair especially after i trimmed it and it got shorter i just dont know how to deal with it. Thank you for your video curls are a great oprion to add volume and i certainly cant use heat methods
Same here. I think Shonagh did a slightly different technique where she grabbed her hair from the front and from the back alternately which I think helped to create the curls also on the back of the head a little bit more.
I haven’t. But I bought the satin heartless curl set on Amazon and returned it. Didn’t work for me when I had shorter hair. It might now, now that I have extensions.
I always noticed the people making these tutorials with the bathrobe or with the curling rod headband never show the back. Funny, that's the part that looks the worst. Coincidence?
@@TashVitorsky it looks pretty great on people with long hair but it never gets the back if you have short hair in my experience. So when I’m watching short hair tutorials with this stuff and they don’t show the back I’m like hmmm 🧐 sus
@@andynonymous6769 You’re right. I have been searching the whole tik tok and TH-cam trying to find someone that shows the back like this lady and I cannot find one besides this video. I just bought the satin ribbon and is the first time this curls stuffs work for me. The front is so cute, but when I looked in the back it was the same thing that the lady from this video showed us 😢. I’ll keep trying until it works.
@@larissaharvatine8062 apparently theres a technique that works to get the back, at least better than you would otherwise where you wrap half the hair back and the other half forward

@@writejules Exactly. They haven't ever experienced thin hair haha! This channel is ideal. :)
It is so refreshing to see this done with hair like mine. Thank you!
Finally, a thin hair I could relate with 🧡 thank you for this!
Thank you so much for taking the time out to show me how to do this with my thin, fine and short hair.

My hair is exactly the same as yours I’m so glad you did this!

My hair is exactly the same thin, fine, gets greasy so quickly 😭 thank you for sharing!
Me too :(

Thank you for doing this! My hair is only a little thicker than yours and I've been thinking about doing this x
You can use a little setting or curling lotion, or similar mouse product to make this work better.
Next time try using a little mousse or a little leave in conditioner after dampening your hair for a little more hold before wrapping it and let it dry completely. I would love to see your results. Thank you!

i have the same baby fine hair, will try it for sure with a shorter belt....good job.
I have hair exactly like yours. Thank you for showing us this.

You're supposed to tie the ends together at the back. It helps the belt out of your way while you sleep, etc. I'd suggest wearing a sleeping cap.

This also works with a cloth headband that's not too tight.
It works so much better on dry air
I found doing it with my hair dry and then hairspray it and sleep worked for me
Maybe try it with dry hair guys. Specially if you have wavy hair. It makes the difference if you have thin hair
Omg...thank you so much for this video
Like the end result! You look nice 👍
Thank you!

You should try the two strand method it works wonders for me
what is that? do you maybe have a video link?

My problems are the ends and the volume at the top, both of which you've solved. Thx!
Could cut belt in strips and use as individual curlers like the sock method but I like the consistent size of using strips of same material
Thank you! I couldn’t find someone with my hair length!
Girl - you should try starting with slightly damp hair. And not take it out until your hair is completely dry.
Hair needs to be 100 percent dry for this to work. If its even damp the hair will fall. Thats the point hair is super moldable when wet to dry
True
I’m going to try this I have same hair & trying to think of ways to try heat free styles. Have you done this by braiding?
I have and I prefer the curl outcome of twisting over like with this technique. But it’s personal preference.
But I haven’t tried braiding using this technique. If that’s what you were asking?
Can I recommend you look into pin curls , this seems like a lot of work for uneven results.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I agree.
Thank you so so much😭😭😭😭😍😍😍
beautiful thank you for sharing
We have EXACTLY the same hair!!!!
The video is very useful!
I wonder if pegs would work better ? I love it though ❤️
What are pegs? Not familiar with that.
@TashVitorsky washing pegs. I'm a bit like you, thin hair and need more bounce on my crown. Loved your demonstration ❤️
With this method you cannot have wet hair it has to be dried first and then you just spray it lightly with water
ur so cute
do it again but with slightly damp hair. it didnt work for u coz they were too wet
I can’t tell where your accent is from! Just wondering! So cute!!!
Thanks :) Probably northeast NY accent mixed with me being originally from Belarus?
I have been so curious too. I love the way you talk. Perfect combination of accents.

She sounds like she has a Newfie accent! Not a bad thing just was curious
What’s a Newfie accent?

This is exactly what i mean by thin hair
Mine always ends up looking poodle or crimped 😡
You should grab hair from behind the belt too x

Haha, could be!
But I also have shorter fine, thin hair and it just wasn’t the right method for my hair overall.
