Pacific Rim was a fantastic piece of work. A perfect mix of classic Japanese and Hollywood sci-fi. And to top it all, a killer, extremely memorable soundtrack. Guillermo Del Toro nailed it, flawlessly.

@@pitter9175 Ah you see, upon hearing an epic rendition of an awesome song from my favorite movie helped me remember certain dialogue from said movie. While lines like "fight the hurricane and win" and "cancel the apocalypse" have been used, I commented with one of my favorite lines from Idris Elba's character Stacker Pentecost. I did so hoping to find like-minded individuals who would possibly share the same sentiments as I did. If this somehow offended so, I'm sorry if you that were the case.

@@jerrythemouse2119 I mean, they did, and it sucked because for some reason studios have this delusion that they can do better than Guillermo Del Toro. It's shocking how many times this has happened, the studios screw around with the project for years, refuse to give Del Toro the appropriate budget, Del Toro decideds to move on, and then the studios rush out a half-baked movie as soon as he's left the project. The Hobbit, Hellboy, Pacific Rim, hell it came out recently that he was working on a Star Wars movie that got axed.

YES! This is such a good theme, such a good score. And such a shame Djawadi didn't return for the sequel for whatever reason. Balfe did a good job but Ramin's theme was unbeatably epic. So glad you did this one justice with three minutes! Keep it up, dude.

Even without Uprising, Pacific Rim is already a masterpiece of its own. That movie would age well like a fine wine.
Why? Because Del Toro had fun with it when he direct it. He loves anime and he poured that feeling into Pacific Rim. I'm pretty sure the producer/director of Uprising just didn't have the same passion.
