I love this interpretation of Joker. He seems to be a bit self-aware and he feels much more like a human being despite his cruelty. He's multi-dimensional and should be taken seriously yet he is still playful at the same time. Wonderful casting choice, fabulous actor.
Seriously, this Joker got something a lot of the other counterparts don't have: subtlety! Yes, the traditional Joker is played in an extremely rambunctious manner which is always fun to watch. However, I find this Joker captivating in a sense that it is not over-the-top yet the psychotic energy is still present. 10/10
Wow, this Joker has a totally normal voice, yet still feels totally comic book! Usually when Joker performances are more grounded, they're like Nicholson or Ledger, and they don't _really_ fell like comic book Joker. But this guy DOES! He just totally captures that Joker energy, without slipping into a loud, semi-British Hamill impression. This almost feels like the _real_ Joker, the one all those comics and movies are based on. Bravo! He looks literally exactly like The Joker too btw, the smile, the hair, the eyebrows... UnCANNY!!
in his less than 10 mins of screen time where we barley even saw him? Anyone who really likes the character of joker knows that Leto was a good portrayal for what time he had. This was like the Riddler with clown make up
+The Griff Leto sucked. His performance was cringeworthy and even comic book fans/writers agree that he does not resemble the Joker (apart from his look)
Again, only 10 mins of screen time. People are unsure of how is going to do. The movie focused more on Joker and Harley's relationship. But it is your opinion and I can see how you might not like him. I think that we should give him a chance for when he most likely appears in Ben afflecks Batman solo movie.
Holy crap! Not only is this guy the best Joker I've seen on a fan film, but he looks so much like Conrad Veidt's portrayal of Gwynplaine from 'The Man Who Laughs'! The resemblance is so uncanny and accurate that it's terrifying!
When he says "I'm an artist" during conventions and states "will never cosplay again", but ironically unironically plays a REALLY GOOD joker outside of conventions. Dude, just accept your fate. You were born for this even though your original passion was just being a make-up artist.
I've only followed Anthony Misiano through his cosplay career, but to see him on film playing as the Joker, I have to say he exceeding my expectations! Great job making your twist and personality to the character, and happy to see you didn't try to over-do the laugh, but rather make it your own menacing psychotic version. Proud of you dude!
Surprisingly I actually really like this toned down Joker, he is a bit more of a scheming Joker, and I like that. Reminds me of Heath's Joker in parts, which is why I am surprised I like Anthony's Joker so much, because I gravitate towards the comic/cartoony Jokers more.
Wait... hold the phone. What's this? An actor... that actually makes the Joker his own character instead of a bad Mark Hamill or Heath Ledger impression? It's... it's unheard of! In all seriousness, this some awesome stuff. Keep up the good work!
I fucking know, right? He's taking some cues from them, obviously, but he's doing it in his own way. Nice little hints of other Jokers, especially how he talks. An interesting mix of Romero, Ledger and *especially* Hamil's Jokers. But still unique.
princeofthewildthings Actually no, I was approached by Daniel Petruccio who had been developing a script with Michael Lupia. I came on board the project and definitely SHARED the creative burden of developing it having produced films in the past, but it was not my brain-child.
Joker isn't always a raving lunatic, some portrayal's of him like Heath made him out to be way more chaotic, and there's a comic that portrays him more as a broken man who lost everything... He can be rational and calculating when he chooses to.
I think I'm falling in love with Anthony's Joker laugh, it's freaking amazing and gives me the shivers. I'd love to see more of Anthony's acting, even if he's not playing Joker, he seems like a wonderful actor.
I like this angle they're doing with the Joker. I mean Nicholson had that homicidal artist thing and well this with the whole deranged actor angle is great. Plus I love how he is so fast and smooth talking kinda like Hades in Hercules. Joker is stealing the show so far.
Anthony really does look the part, but I think the script writer failed to grasp the Joker's character properly. It reads more like the Riddler, who is a little neurotic, a little bit whimsical, and certainly as ruthless as the Joker can be. But Nigma is more level headed than the Joker, (I hesitate to say sane, for obvious reasons) and I feel much more like I'm watching Nigma dressed as the Joker. Even when the Joker is angry, it's flamboyant, exuberant, not curt and cold.
***** I'm pretty sure Anthony has said also that he's not actually a Joker fan. He just chose to cosplay as him. It's difficult to act as a character that you're not really in to. I think if Anthony had read some material with the Joker - notable ones would have been A Killing Joke, and A Death in the Family - or even have played Batman: Arkham Asylum, he would have had a better grasp on the character's personality.
foreverdead1248 Anthony's actually a huge fan of the character and the entire Batman universe, has been his entire life, and we loved having him on board our project in several capacities. However not every actors' portrayal of every iconic character will fit the mold every individual viewer has formed in their minds of how these characters should be portrayed. It's the curse of playing a character people already know and love.
The Batman Chronicles Odd. I remember an interview where he said he wasn't actually a fan of the Joker's. Still, I blame the writer for the unusual portrayal more than the actor. Of course, there's different interpretations of a character as old as the Joker, but in the end there's still a certain basic way he acts, things he would and would not do. And I feel like showed Joker doing things he's not actually likely to do, based on his previous comic incarnations.
FoxyWhite He said he actually was not a fan of cosplaying he just loved art and the Joker, but I agree he really does capture the riddler well, could pull off the face damn well too.
Actually, his name is Anthony Misiano - he's an actor. ;) However he DOES have a popular facebook page with that name. All kidding aside though, thank you SO very much, honestly. We are so happy to hear people enjoying the direction we took the character, and Mr. Misiano has even said himself the reason he originally came on board this project was a love of the Jokers dialog in the script (writing credit to the talented Michael Lupia). :)
Still the best Joker in this style EVER! If I could have 3 wishes, one would be to wish Anthony would always play this style of Joker, that this group would make more of these with Joker, like a series, and the third wish would be they would be discovered by Hollywood and given the proper recognition they deserve. 😘🃏💜
his own take on the joker is in my eyes Showstar-Joker a person who just want's to be on the Showlights of every stage on the world, and the laugh HUAR HUAR HUAR i love it
Amazing! Subtle tones of Batman: the Animated Series, a little flavor from the 1989 Batman, the feel of the darker comics and a lot of personality from the actors. This is the best live action Batman to date! Mr. Misiano keeps Joker's whimsy whilst making him creepy as hell. There can't only be one episode left.
Somehow or other I started to watch this first. I liked it so much that I stopped so I can watch the first part. It is well done, and the Joker actor is the second best Joker I have ever seen! Jared Leto is my favorite! I can't wait to watch the series!
The Joker absolutely stole the show in this! Perfectly portrayed and a original take rather than copying Ledger or Hamill! Perfectly made series, I'm so impressed by this. I've long wanted to make a Batman fan film but know I couldn't do it justice with my current resources. But either way it probably wouldn't have a scratch on this! Big fan!
The beginning makes me think more of handsome jack than the joker. Like there's the socio-psychopathic elements but not the humor. I probably wouldve went less stabby stabby more happy happy xD. He genuinely looks sad and pissed off that he had to kill number 4 like it wasnt fun? It shouldve been fun
Playing the joker is a really fine balancing act between homicidal maniac and clown prince of crime. Heath Ledger joker being on the Far left (Homicidal Manaic), and Ceasar Romero being far right (Clown) Mark Hamill being dead center This joker I'd put leaning left, which is fine left-leaning jokers fit well in these more realistic takes on Batman

There's also the fact that this little webserie shows the very start of this particular Joker (description: ''following a young Bruce Wayne''). It's also probably the Joker of The Killing Joke (Anthony Misiano, the actor, said in an interview that it was his favorite backstory for the Joker), which means he was a lone depressed guy before becoming it. Even if he's a psycho doesn't mean he's already enjoying everything (like killing people) that he does. With that in mind, I think it's easier to fully understand the acting that Anthony Misiano does..
Wow this is great. When Joker was in Loeb's office I was waiting for him to talk about his Joker-Fish. And Selina's cowl looked just like what she wore when she was wearing that purple dress costume showing alot of leg. Alfred was perfect too.
I honestly enjoyed this. As a huge fan of The Joker I jump at the chance to see other people's portrayals. I often have a differing opinion from other people sometimes because I tend to try and look behind what you see and think what actually went into it. I think you guys did an amazing job! Honestly I preferred the costume without the slicked back hair, but you guys had a vision and you made it come to life, I applaud you for that. I think all of the actors involved did a great job. And to be honest, I think that Anthony looks more like the Joker than a couple of people who played the Joker in big projects! I won't name names because I don't want to offend anybody. Thank you for making this! It is so fun to watch!
Easily one of my favourite Batman fan-films. Your take on the Joker is the best in any fan film I have seen (and I have seen most of them). Both the make-up and the actor's performance are spot on, close to what I would like to see in the movies.
I hate that everyone is hating on the Joker when he's the only good thing that came out of this. That catwoman is the worst thing I've ever seen, and that extra cop.
This production is awesome and I like this guy playing the Joker... he brings another dimension to the character. My only gripe is Batman. He should be more reclusive and brooding... he would NEVER thank Selina for anything she gave him because he's doing HER a favor by not putting her back in prison. Batman seems a little soft...
Bárbara Martínez-Solé If that's the case...if we're looking what I guess is supposed to be a younger Bruce, he'd be even MORE non-tolerant. Think about it...if it's younger Bruce, then it's closer to the time when he lost his parents. So he'd be much more abrasive.. much more...sharp! (attitude-wise) This guy is giving me too much "nice" for me to believe this is Batman I'm watching. "Thank you Selina"?....gimme a break lol. I get that he may be attempting to do his own thing (like the guy playing the Joker) but don't lose the "feel" of the character while doing so. I think the "mirror" technique would assist this guy playing Batman/Wayne. He needs to ask himself how does Batman think and respond accordingly while adding his own flare to the role (if he chooses to do so).
· KING · Except, hasn't Bruce always had a soft spot for Selina? If so, why wouldn't he say thank you? Though, this wasn't really a good reason to say thank you...if she saved her sure but...idk. It did seem weird a bit weird now that I think about it...
123RangerDude It's just a bit out of character for Bruce/Batman to say thank you to ANYBODY. Batman isn't the "nice guy"... just think about it, how many times have you heard or read him saying thank you to someone in the movies or comics? Like never... maybe once and I'd have to stretch to find it lol.
@@crimesinspaaace With the CW if your superhero show started out with a dark tone it'll become a bad romantic drama starting with the 3rd season to pander to teen fangirls who delude themselves that the entire show's about a couple getting together even if it's not and ignore everything else about it.
I find it very fair to say. The tattoos were ridiculous, his laugh was lazy and forced his voice reminded of Jim Carrey's Riddler. And even he spoke he would move his head around like a snake... Just my opinion though. I thought he was terrible
Madara Uchiha well can't hate for you that I didn't like some of the things with joker but I have to wait and see the other movies to fully talk about him that's just me
MoXfy Milling This was Conceived and Produced By Daniel Petruccio (Batman) and Joe Petruccio (Director). They casted Anthony. But none the less...Anthony was a huge and important part of this film.
Anthony was ment to play the joker. OMG he is amazing. The way he bounced from serious to fun and how he actually was scary it was perfect! And that laugh at the end sent shivers down my spine. Simply amazing!
Great job, very well done. Your take on the Joker, is perfect!! As for Batman, while in costume Daniel reminds me so much of a younger Keaton version of Batman. I think its a combo of the similar mask and the EYES!!! Some of his expressions in the mask are Keaton like. LOVE IT!!!!!! Keaton was Batman, till now!!!!
I love this interpretation of Joker. He seems to be a bit self-aware and he feels much more like a human being despite his cruelty. He's multi-dimensional and should be taken seriously yet he is still playful at the same time. Wonderful casting choice, fabulous actor.
Misiano’s performance as the Joker in this reminds me so much of Ingruber’s John Doe from the Batman telltale games. Love it!

@@crimesinspaaace With the CW if your superhero show started out with a dark tone it'll become a bad romantic drama starting with the 3rd season to pander to teen fangirls who delude themselves that the entire show's about a couple getting together even if it's not and ignore everything else about it.
This is awesome, easily one of my favorite jokers! The fact that the actor creates his own insanity with the joker is truly awesome!
Anthony Misiano, you, sir, are a GENIUS. You're going places, trust me.
OMG MISIANO NEEDS TO BE CAST AS THE JOKER IN THE DCEU
This Joker is way too chill.
Heath Ledger's was way more chill.
Chad Hotelling And Leto's was so terrible
Madara Uchiha how can you say he is terrible just by the little amount of screen time he had not really fair to say he is terrible
I find it very fair to say. The tattoos were ridiculous, his laugh was lazy and forced his voice reminded of Jim Carrey's Riddler. And even he spoke he would move his head around like a snake... Just my opinion though. I thought he was terrible
Madara Uchiha well can't hate for you that I didn't like some of the things with joker but I have to wait and see the other movies to fully talk about him that's just me
THE JOKER WAS SO GOOD I'M AMAZEDDDD!!! THIS IS SO WELL MADE I'M GONNA CRY
Without a doubt the best batman fan film I've ever seen
Can we talk about the fact that Anthony is a perfect Joker ? You agree ? Yes ? Ok. Thanks.
Great job everyone there ! c: ♥♥
Oh my god the actor you got for Joker was perfect! Is there going to be more then three parts?
He's anthony misiano- he's well know for cosplaying the joker at comic/anime convention, search him on fb as Harley's Joker
Miaka21 plus he is the one who started this show
+MoXfy Milling yeah that's right :D
MoXfy Milling This was Conceived and Produced By Daniel Petruccio (Batman) and Joe Petruccio (Director). They casted Anthony.
But none the less...Anthony was a huge and important part of this film.

I wasn't expected the part two that soon ! what a wonderful surprise ! great job and show us MORE !!
The guy who plays Joker, and Alfred, and Bruce did awesome, really good job
Damn! Now that's how the Joker should be played! This is an exceptional fan film - nothing better out there! Thank you!
Aw man....that last scene was AWESOME. It gave me chills
IKR the best 👏🏾🙌🏾
Wow. That laugh at the end is just awesome.
Good mix of creepy and kooky with this Joker. :)
This is so well written and acted - great cast! This how "The Batman" should be done - screw the Hollywood movies.
What do you mean? The movies are really good.
This Joker's got a brain and he's using it. Yet you can still see the insanity. And every scene he's in brings a smile to MY OWN face! Well done.
... He reminds me of Jack Nickolson
Aosgood94 his hair looks like leto except it mind of suits him
The scene where the Joker is talking to a numb commissioner is beautiful!
Anthony was ment to play the joker. OMG he is amazing. The way he bounced from serious to fun and how he actually was scary it was perfect! And that laugh at the end sent shivers down my spine. Simply amazing!
Some of it reminds me of the animated series for some rreason.
Great they made there own version of the charecters.
This Joker is absolutely amazing!
Anthony you're brilliant! I love you as the Joker ;)
Really like this rendition of the joker - well done Mr. Misiano
