@@nomdaploom No, not really. MVDP is a cyclocross, monument, and mountain bike specialist where pog would really struggle in those types of events. He is capable of winning stages at grand tours, but not GC at a grand tours. I do think we will see MVDP at the Tour de France this year so, we'll see how far he's come in adapting his training and what his goals are.
MVDP is bigger and likely higher top end power numbers than Pog. He is unaffected by short punchy climbs, but long mountain climbs favor Pog. Also, cobbled monuments often favor heavier riders and raw power because they don't end up getting as beat up by cobbles as badly.
