- In this educational video series we will discuss how to read ANA (antinuclear antibody) IFA patterns in HEp-2 substrate and how ANA IFA can aid in the diagnosis of autoimmune disease. This video tutorial will include three simple steps used in reading an ANA IFA.
Your videos are so clear to understand compared to the immunology class. Thank you for posting these.
Wonderful concise information.
Good work.
Hello! I just want to clarify: 200x is used to evaluate a titer if positive or negative, while 400x is for confirming patterns?
Gold!
Could you please answer my question?
Can ANA test (IFA, 1/80, IgG) show a response of the body to a metal implant (titanium screws on the jaw)?
Is an autoimmune/autoinflammatory response can be induced by metal adjuvants and may they cause a positive ANA test result?
Or, could we say a negative ANA test means there is no response of the body to the metal (titanium) implants?

Very nice.
I would like to know the procedure for working with HEp-2 slides
The procedure is specific to the manufacturer, for Bio-Rad HEp-2 slides go to the following site www.bio-rad.com/en-us/category/hep-2-ifa?ID=38d7b598-d719-4887-b7c4-1373f1d68204
thank you
🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍
Is there anyone that you could recommend I could consult about a very high anti-nuclear antibody’s test of 1290? I would be willing to do a phone/video consult if that is the only plausible way. I would so very much appreciate a response from you. Thanks you in advance.
Good evening ma'am/sir pls do reply recent i did ana test my report
ANA (HELP 2 CELLS )
Necloplasma -- Fine speckled
Nuclear membrane - negative
Nuclear dots -negative
Necleoil - negative
Cystoplasm - negative
Intensity -(+)
Impression - border line positive
Sir please explain my report
Why shouldn't we read the center?
Why can't you read the edge?
The edge may have increased fluorescence intensity due to evaporation or decreased fluorescence intensity due to failure to apply reagents over the entire well
