Love thrifting and antiquing! We actually own A thrift store, but we don't shop for it, its donations only.. and we always get some awesome things😊 It helps support our men's recovery home. I love to collect old art & ornate frames. I love to collect beautiful candle sconces, so pretty to hang with art, in gallery walls or just alone. Antique stores are always pricey, but if you really look you can find some good deals! Nice haul, thanks for taking us along😊
It is interesting seeing things in antique stores that are high prices (like that one broom). My grandma was poor and lived a very simple life, yet made everything pretty. I remember my grandma having some of those things and in her time, those “now antiques” were NOT expensive or high end. Some, like the broom, were very utilitarian. I think the things made in my grandma’s day, even though not expensive or flashy, were of good quality and made to last. Even dime store things of her day were quality. I love going to antique stores because it triggers memories of things from my childhood.

To differentiate between boys/men’s and girls/ladies clothing- boys button left over right and girls buttons right over left. My mom taught me that by saying it easy to remember because “girls are always right!” 😄

when I thrift...I see all these amazing pottery things that kids have made...I always wonder if the parents got rid of them or the kids....but they are the most unique items and colors. I've bought several pieces.
