I would rub and buff that frame with a different shade of gold. The cake stand is gorgeous 😍 I think the square dish was a sugar bowl. You found some great items!!
It’s starting to warm up. I’m in Houston Texas. I am gardening this week. I think it’s gonna be safe to start putting in the ceilings in the ground.👍🏽🌱
The short, footed glass piece that you mentioned, making into a candle books like an antique crystal pattern that our family collects. They can be quite expensive and it’s called King’s Crown. Lovely finds.
I am in Georgia and we were in the low 70’s today and supposed to get to 80 tomorrow 😊 Very spring-like with some trees and flowers blooming but we are supposed to get rain Friday. Very nice thrift haul❤️
Hello, I Love all your Content just stay Real to yourself! Give us your True Self, that’s what I like! I Love going on your Thrift trips! My favorite! ❤
I have seen people use rub and buff you might want to do that. Would be great if you did a video about making candles. I would like to do that, but I have no idea how, especially on a budget.
I will have to look into that to see what it would do. I recently thrifted a melting thingy so I’m excited to put that video out as well as making the candles!
I live in the southern Oregon Mountains in Ashland Oregon we have so much snow still - yet in town about 20 minutes away the weather was 60 today. I collect Brass you got a great deal 😊. I saw a brass bird in one of your thrift stores and I wanted to jump through the screen and I only collect brass made in India. Good for you ! 🙋🏻♀️
Those pictures were so beautiful that would have been of beautiful collection to have. We both live in California. It’s been so warm here and I’m going to miss the cold season. I love the rain. Good call on the brass candles.
The square dish that you are thinking of using for a candle looks like it could also be used for a sugar bowl or to use for sugar packets & sugar substitute packets at a coffee bar. I would also be concerned about the hot wax cracking the dish when you are in the process of making the candles. What a beautiful dish!
Good morning from upstate New York, a very mild winter here this year and in the high 60’s. I’m a winter girl so am very much missing not having snow and winter. Those were fun thrift shops, lots of unique things. Thanks for taking us along❤
Go to Michael’s, Hobby lobby or any other craft store and pick up what you need for making your candles. That’s the only place I know to get candle fragrances. Also get some Rub and Buff to change the color of your frame.
Hey! New friend here! Man, I wish we had thrift stores like the first one you went in. I’m in Louisiana. Your Goodwill prices are really good! Our Goodwill prices are REALLY high! I don’t know how many times I have seen Goodwill price items higher than the original sticker! Here in Louisiana it has been getting warmer, in the 70s, gonna be in the 80s for a few days then down into the 60s. It’s crazy! I can’t believe those brass candlesticks at that price!
First time viewer and yes, I hit subscribe and like. Lol. I’m from northern nj and the weather has been exactly the same here. Days of rain, spring like days at a time, this week it’s in the 40’s. 🤷🏼♀️
Hi!! I just found you here on TH-cam! I am watching from Christchurch, New Zealand! It is slowly starting to get cooler as we begin to move into Autumn. it has been a lot hot summer, so sad to see it go! Love people watching thrifting in other countries, its so interesting....and I love the items you purchased !
Your galentines day picture of you and your girls would look great framed. Take rub n buff a lighter gold will look great. The pieces your picking up to make candles are sold on line and are parts of vintage clear sets. I love that your going to use them to make great candles they are going to look pretty.
I'm also here in California the weather has been crazy raining 🌧 and then nice the next day however I prefer Summer time weather and I can't wait for it 😊
I really like the thrifting videos with the haul and when you show how you styled your finds. I also like when you give time to looking at the books. Your stores are so much better than in CT. We are starting to get a bit warmer, but it's up and down it will rain for 3 days be super cold then today was in the 60s.
I'm in southeast Tennessee. Beautiful days here, daffodils and pear trees in full bloom. Low to mid 70's daytime but still cool at night & early morning..30's on average. Can't wait to start planting my flowers after the last frost. The square glass piece with handles is really unique & beautiful. I think i would paint the frame black, with that shape it would really be pretty. Use essential oils in your candles for scent. Theres lots of Utube videos on making your own. You scored some nice pieces. Thanks for sharing😊
I'm in very Northern Illinois just 12 miles from the Wisconsin state line. It's been unseasonably warm here! Not consistently, but we've already had several days in the high 70's here. Very unusual. We're often still buried in snow throughout March. I love the brass candlesticks you found, they were a great deal too. The square glass dish with the little handles would be really cute to hold sugar packets, but I'm not sure what it was originally intended for.
I went Thrifting about a week ago. I found two mason jars I do can but I like these jars because they had them wooden seals tops. You know the ones that are like don’t turn the seal with the little gasket type thing so I found that and I also found a 10 quart stock pot Revere brand with the copper bottom that was it but every time I walk in that Goodwill I always find something might be one or two things. This was three things that I found that day. Prices are going up big time but it’s OK when you want something you wanted I wasn’t gonna pay a lot a lot, but it was still kind of pricey and it’ll be good because whenever I start canning again, I’ll have some extra jars, I do give out when I make pear preserves. I give them out to friends and family🍐🌱
I am in WV…our weather is all over the place this year! I’ve dabbled in making my own candles…lots of TH-cam videos about it. Love those candlesticks. How about Rub ‘n Buff for your picture frame? Cindi (from WV)😊
Hello, the Lil glass holder with the 2 side handles would hold Sweetener Packs or Sugar Packs that you would see on top of the table at restaurant mostly in hard plastic possibility in cream or white color 😉
Unseasonably warm in Ohio. Today almost 70 degrees by Sunday 30 degrees & snow. Joke is if you dont like the weather in the morning just wait by afternoon it's a different season!
Good morning! It has been near 80 here, in Florida..today in 80's. I am ready for the nice warm, & yes hot weather.😊 That is a sugar bowl..some had lids& some didn't. I have a few,no lids. I like watching people shop..😊. Some were expensive. Candle making is expensive, wicks( wood ones are best). Oils..sented,color,wax,can get used from thrifting, any kind of safe containers. Reason being for wooden wicks, they crackle * look better..I buh the WoodWick candles,I love them. I like Sandlewood,or ocean scents. I like incense as well. I love the cake plate, she should have given it to you for the marked price, that was not your fault it said $1.99. You are a sweet soul😊. Look for water colors to decorate for spring/ summer.Yellow as well.Have a great day.🙏🦜🌷🌺🤗
Hi. Im from New Zealand, autumn here and it was about 68 here today. I planted some spring bulbs today! Bye bye summer😢 look forward to candle making!!!
I am in WV and we have had days that are rainy, some days in the high seventies and next week on Tuesday chance of snow and in the twenties..I like the sun. I am doing the same thing as you..trying to add Spring to our decor. I have thrifted decor for so many years that I just need to go to my attic or garage and find stuff. We quit eating out and started going to estate sales instead. I think I got ten things today for ten dollars at an estate sale. We try to buy things we need now rather than decor, but I can not help myself sometimes. I did buy this wooden hearts piece in springy colors that were put together somehow. Our Goodwill would have probably charged 24.99 for that cake stand. I loved it and a lot of times they don’t have covers. I think they should have given you the price on it. Other than clothes our Goodwills and rummage sales are high. Estate sales on Saturdays or whatever is the last day is the best deal. I have the picture in my attic of the three little girls. How much was it there? I loved I think the square shape was a sugar bowl without the lid, that and the star and the other piece will be perfect for candle making. I make soap but want to get into candles too, but have never done. My husband’s cousin made soy candles thirty some years ago and charged twenty two dollars then. We don’t have any good thrift stores nearby. We have antique stores downtown , but they are so expensive. If you make candles will you show us? That square shape will be gorgeous for a candle. Take care❤
Thank you for sharing that. Your are right antique stores get very expensive that’s why I stick with regular thrift stores. I will be taking you along on this journey of making candles.
Oh girl, you're killing me! I'm in Charlotte, North Carolina, been here for about a year but originally born and raised in Sacramento and the Roseville area. I've been to just about every Goodwill there, and the old Tower of Records Goodwill was one of my favorites, but the other two stores slipped past my radar. How did I not know about them? Ugh, so homesick. Anyway, love your treasures! BTW, beautiful spring weather here, it's supposed to hit 81° today.
Oh wow I don’t have enough guts to move from here. I was born in Ukraine but was raised here. One of my sisters and best friend moved to North Carolina two years ago. I hope you can visit soon.
I loved this video. So fun to go thrifting with you. I'm moving up the road from you in a few weeks. ( Shingle Springs) I would love to know the name of the last thrift store you went to.
Oh ya that’s so close less than 50 minutes from me! This is the address to the last thrift store in the video Pacific Thrift Store 6101 Watt Ave, North Highlands 95842
I can't believe that Goodwill store wrote prices on the items with permanent marker. That beige planter/vase you picked up had the price written right on the side--on a porous surface marker doesn't always come off. Most Goodwills use paper labels.
Wow great finds...I would've snatched that brown rectangular basket for $3.99 yes please lol... I'm in Florida weather is mid 70s to low 80s definitely Florida Spring weather.

We have a very like mild mild winters you can imagine. I was very surprised at St. Vincent de Paul's prices. I think they were outrageous and I think that Miami prices are out of control. They're barely any home decor items at our thrift stores here that are priced well and they do sell Dollar tree items at like $3 here at our goodwills. It's ridiculous. Also, that crystal item with the two handles I would do a little research because I don't think you should put like candle wax and that is way too pretty. And if anything, you can use it to store your tease or even like your packets of sugar or splenda or whatever it is that you use, but definitely not use it for candle. Do you have some very nice finds? Thanks for sharing and I am happy to find your channel😊
I am a migrainer and asthmatic person who cannot do scented candles or scented oils. Pure beeswax is a beautiful honey color and smells like honey. It also does not born off the toxic chemicals that cheap wax does. Soy candle wax is another safer option.
I would rub and buff that frame with a different shade of gold. The cake stand is gorgeous 😍 I think the square dish was a sugar bowl.
You found some great items!!
I totally agree thank you
Wow California is so beautiful this time of year. What an interesting thrift store that is. So massive and has amazing things.
Thank you 😊 yes the weather is beautiful here and the first one was different for sure.
I love your videos! You are so refreshing and down to earth. Keep up the great deal shopping.

It would be beautiful for sugar. I just wish it had a lid. I definitely don’t wanna crack it so I will have to do some research.

Ok let’s make some candles 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Yesss
I am in vermont, last sunday 10 inches of snow. Then rain for 2 days , then 50 degrees, then 20 lol spring is coming
Wow it’s a weather rollercoaster. I hear Vermont has the most beautiful Autumn with the changing leaves.
Could hold little soaps, or cotton balls, or cotton swabs.
So many good ideas
Try rubbing buff on the picture frame
I will have to look into that and see what it does.
