My mom’s first car was a red 93. It was the first car I ever knew too. That thing went everywhere and we put it to its limits. It went up mountains and onto loose gravel roads...sometimes even mountains that had loose gravel roads...there were times we had to turn off the AC just to get extra power to go over the hills. My mom tells me I used to call it the ABC car. I think it’s because I was learning my ABCs and C was for car. She sold it in 99 for a 4x4 SUV. That was the first and last “car” she has ever owned and it was the last “car” she drove until 2019 actually. So it took her 20 years to get back into something that wasn’t an SUV. Sometimes I wonder what happened to it after it was sold. It was probably crushed long ago. Either way, I’m not sure why I wrote this but I guess I have a special connection to the Suzuki Swift. Not sure why this showed up in my recommendations either lol. Funny how things work. Anyway, thanks for making this video

dude, my mom had the exact same car! same color, too! both her and dad got the same thing, and his was a white GTI. i wasn't sure about what years they were but they looked the same
I still drive one of these (a '99 sedan version of this car). Even though being 21 years old it takes me from A to B with excellent gas milage. No problem. I really like it, not a bad car if you take good care of it.

Always wondered how this Suzuki looks in side it's legendary car as well here one family has it it for yers its in perfect condition first owner so far this old Japanese cars are pice of history.
I have one in honey color, but I have to do the swap engine to ford KA 1.3 70 HP because it s out of parts in Poland. My model is 1998y. It was made in hungary. 68 HP at origin. Now he will have fev more HP. 😊
I still see those around (badged as Geo Metro) one of the very few cars from that era that survived "cash for clunkers", i miss Suzuki would love to buy new Jimny or that subcompact crossover whatever its called but they left our market like 7 years ago. Quick walk around before all videos would be appreciated if possible
@Ai Know-how That's the point, here in italy one can't rent a car, 'cause it's not considered essential for living. I was wondering whether in Poland it is the same situation.
i still have a swift 98'... with better -bigger rims and tires . exhaust system. suspension system etc. but i never touched that beautiful 3 cylinder engine... one if the most reliable engines ever build (for small cars)... you can have a look here th-cam.com/video/gbOeR9jiYk0/w-d-xo.html
It is ugly but overall its a great car, its so reliable and its cheap maintenance. Really fun to drive if you just don't care if you scratch it, bump on something or crash it, also its so small that you can really push its limits and risk in traffic.
