Its funny I originally subscribed because you made content on the rawrr mantis x when i got one of them, but i just picked up a 08 ttr 230 as well! Awesome video man.
Good little trail bikes. Might want to adjust valves before tuning carb, and I wonder if it needs rings with that compression test result. I don't think this bike has a compression release for starting.
I think it’s a good deal to replace the rings regardless at this point, but I just wanted to get some more use out of it before I start tearing it down more
Love the ttrs but on one of my old ones ttr125 the motor started leaking (purposley was testing it cause don’t ride anymore) but I want to covert it electric do you think I could?
@@ghastly545 I think you could convert anything into electric if you really want to, but it may not be right for all applications. If salvageable, I would try to fix it first though.
Well I have an Electro & Co QS138 V3 Kit installed on my YZ250 and it makes good power, but the current limiting factor is the battery (approximately 28kW output.) VARG would be a lot to compete with though.. has a lot more going on besides the power.
You can check the spark plug color to set the air fuel mixture... Black is rich, white is lean and tan is good.😁

Great video! Thanks for taking the time to put it together
Why are your vids so good

@@PatOutdoors Yeeh sounds like it’ll run just fine! Good deal on the bike actually.

I always wondered what kit would make a bike like this take on VARG levels...?
