It could also be a tragedy-type of ending. No victory, Abeloth was simply too powerful (and she is indeed quite powerful). What exactly victory looks like to her though would be a bit different from, say, a Thanos snap or the birth of an Empire.

If it's animated, sure I can see the potential. But if they try doing it live action? I don't think they can pull it off the very mystical elements of it and I'd say that is the most important part to emphasize the scale and the cosmic horror.
Would be a good star wars horror game. Your a storm/clone trooper whose ship made its way to the unknown regions and your fighting for your life to get out alive.
@@sir_beatdown1015I like the idea of a horror game where the starweird is stalking you throughout the story. If you linger too long it finds you and you're now engaged in a chase or an unexpected boss fight you may or may not be able to survive (encourages creative tactics and not just fighting your way through the encounter).
I'd like a scary/horror style one off movie based on the star weirds and what its like to encounter them on board deep in space with just one Jedi present.
So a StarWeird is pretty if Darth Nihilus was completely unhinged, even when he became hungry and needed to feed. Scary how these creatures appeared to consume. Just like Sidious stated “the DarkSide is a pathway to many abilities some considered to be unnatural.”
@Markworks365 that would be awesome. Even better would be them showing up In the series with them fighting Ahsoka giving us a glimpse of what they're capable of before they Ultimately invade the star wars galaxy and go to war with the new republic like they did in Legends.
filoni is actually on record as wanting to bring them in 6 years ago. so Ahsoka could be a way of going in that direction. especially as they need a major villian for the crossover trilogy (mando, Ahsoka, rebels and so on) thrawns good. but hes not good enough for a trilogy in my opinion
These entities could be so terrifying if put into an "Event Horizon" type horror film. Maybe not that scary, but take some of that frightening scenarios.
It is possible the Starweirds are what happens when someone doing a Sith ritual to gain godhood by devouring a planet cannot handle the stress of being destroyed and remade. Instead, their mind snaps and they become like a force wraith with power to wreck planets.
its gonna depicted in movie as shadowing cloak figures with red eyes that can shapeshift anyone it sees 0:53, its why vongs are easily manipulated by them...people should see KRULL ...there were one in the movie that took form of evil prince with red eyes and true form is giant creature with force powers beyond scale of ten

She is insane but she still has a mortal mind and there are things that can be done to avoid or trap her for long enough for you to never see her in your lifetime. If the Mnggal-Mnggal makes it onto your homeworld the planet is pretty much screwed.

Star weirds are good for a good star wars horror movie. something both familar and different from the Sith. Sith are excellent for Villains and nightmare fuel
I feel like it’s possible but idk. We’ll definitely get a watered down version of them if this is the case, although in this new galaxy from Ahsoka it’s possible that they may just be a resident of this galaxy.
Dude they should make a Halloween episode about a crew getting lost in space and encountering a star weird barely escaping with only 2 of their crew surviving
Yeah know chances are pretty great that we might see a Star-Weird in the Ashoka series at some point. I think their being set up for at least an appearence.
I would most definitely like to see a star weird in live action. However, that can only happen if Disney gets it's act together and takes Star Wars in a completely new direction. Personally, I'm sick and tired of fillers between all three movie trilogies.
Hmmm, attuned to the dark side, has the same powers as Nhilus, hates the Jedi especially, smart enough to go after Council members first....Everything screams Sith experimenting on a sentient being
They could have rewritten it to be "acolytes of Abeloth" gifted with eternal life. Ment to hunt down ALL FORCE USERS and one day free their mistress. ....Doubt it, but considering how some things get rewritten and the Starweirds origins are "unknown" still. This would be a cool addition no? Have the Starweirds be the "minions" of Abeloth, to mke Abeloth seem 10 times more dangerous to the galaxy.
I think they might be like vampires. I suspect they can make more of their own by forcibly putting a bit of their own force energy in a victim. It would be a good twist on them.

Ok, these Starweirds are cool but they are way overpowered! I mean planet eaters? Come on. It would be cool if Filoni puts an encounter with one of these with Ahsoka when they leave to the unknown regions. Of course they would have to dial back its powers significantly as they are way too overpowered. A cool horror encounter in the depth of space would be super cool!
Yea legends did a lot of this. It came up with really cool concepts and storylines but there were just so many planet destroying entities and objects that it kind of became overwhelming. Like a space wraith that randomly appears on ships and is unstoppable to all but Jedi, leaving behind abandoned ships, and there's hardly any Jedi left in the galaxy is scary enough. Especially if there's a few dozen of these things running around, the amount of help Ashoka would need to deal with them would be crazy.
I dont hear "planet eater" as a literal term, more like if they find their way onto a planet, they'll make it a point to consume every ounce of life on it leaving behind a dead world.
