    Good explanation with illustration.

    That's a pretty great explanation, thanks for sharing!
    I really want to take the time and watch your sculpting tutorials. The workflow you display there is much closer to what I want to do as an aspiring 3D artist. There are too many tutorials in TH-cam teaching how to create game ready assets, texturing, and so on, and not enough focusing on how to be a good sculptor.

    yooo, how did u turn off the top bar??? im looking for smt like that since ever!!!

    • @MWSculpts
      @MWSculpts  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey so depending on the bar you mean you can hit f11 to go 'fullscreen' which will remove the very top bar. Then to remove the bar above the viewport you can right click and hide it from there.

      @@MWSculpts i ment the top bar, with blender logo, file, edit, render and so on, i want to toggle that, just like N and T ...

      Yes under window > toggle full screen mode (should be f11) shortcut will hide those

      @@MWSculpts nope, i use fullscreen since a while and its still there, basically i want the 3D viewport touch the top of my monitor... 0 bars or icons up there, i do everything with short cuts...

    Awesome video! I am curious at the 2:46 mark you use a modal with preset remesh values. Is that an addon you are using?

      Hey! Yes this is an add-on I developed to speed up the sculpting workflow. Take a look at the overview video th-cam.com/video/VmAubDs9GXw/w-d-xo.html for info on features and how to download / install ☺️

      Yes you could move the origin in object mode first then go into sculpt mode it's just a little trickier than doing it in sculpt mode.

    Really great tutorial. Thank you for putting it together as it was extremely helpful. I was wondering how you were able to use the "R" hotkey in sculpt mode to do the rotation? I noticed the gizmo is not even visible. The "R" hotkey seem to be set to the voxel re-mesh density. I was wondering how you did that?

    • @MWSculpts
      @MWSculpts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey 😊, this was back in blender 3.1. It seems things have changed since then. You will need to switch some hotkeys on preferences to get things to work just like this video. You can access the rotate gizmo in the tools menu on the left. Also in 3.6 I have not been able to get the pivot options working right but perhaps you will have more luck 🤞

    Hi, again! Thank you for the Tutorial!, is there a way to move pivot point in sculpting mode freely? just like Zbrush does pressing Alt key! when you mask and move parts

    • @MWSculpts
      @MWSculpts  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey 🙂. There is no way of dragging it around that I know of. You would need to go to object mode and move origin there I would think. There are a few options other than moving the pivot to under the cursor but none that would do what you describe I don't think 🤔

  • @KeanusReal
    @KeanusReal ปีที่แล้ว +1

    hello.. do you know how to Auto masking backface?? just like Zbrus does.. Im so stressed can't find it. it's gotta be there in blender as well!

    • @MWSculpts
      @MWSculpts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey yeah I think there is a front faces only option on the sculpt brushes blender.stackexchange.com/questions/30744/how-to-prevent-sculpting-tools-from-affecting-faces-through-thin-walls
      If you check that it will only affect what you are sculpting

      Had a little go tonight on 3.5 as I hadn't tried this since upgrading a few days ago. Pivot under the cursor was working, I set the shortcut as right alt + p. Try that shortcut as sometimes blender can be odd with some shortcuts. No worries and hope you can get it working for you

    Hello! I tried this pivot change option, but i seem to do something wrong maybe - it does not work th-cam.com/users/shortsSiXu3U2JEzw (it indicates the pivot point position changed but the actual deformation point is still unchanged)or here th-cam.com/users/shortstX_rsflhQyA Blender 3.3.1
    UPD Hmm it seems to be workong ONLY when you smooth mask border. Is this normal?

    • @MWSculpts
      @MWSculpts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Mike, cant get the links you sent to work for me getting 'Oops, something went wrong.'. But if you mask out the area you don't want to move then change the pivot and then rotate the unmasked area should always move.. Is this one solid mesh or have you ctrl+j multiple ones together? Have not come across this one before. Blurring or not the mask should stop that part from moving.

      @@MWSculpts Thanks for the fast answer. I solved the issue, though it confuses me, because when you make Box mask - you need smooth the mask border at least once, otherwise it will not change the pivot position. Weird.
