Glad you explained the emoji as I was quite unhappy to see the current bugs in iPadOS that could have been fixed instead of wasting time on emoji nonsense. This cleared that misunderstanding up.
My iPhone 14 pro has suddenly changed after this update ... It's heating up... The charge doesn't remain long like it used to .. Battery is dropping more quickly.. but major I feel is heating ....

I'm still experiencing the alarm clock issue. I've had two days in the last 3 weeks where I 'slept through' all of my alarms. Now I know why at least.

15 pm user here. since i’ve updated, my network is slow. and it would take forever to load pages or even stream content. when i do a speed test, it’s showing the correct speed of my wifi, but doesn’t perform like it. my phone has started to run warm again, and this morning it overheated & get very hot on very minimal use & also dropped the frame rate. battery life is a little worse. but the biggest issue is the network issues. hopefully this is fixed in the next update
My screen time reduced by 1.30 hours after updating to 17.5.1 on my 15PM
On IOS 17.5.1 my battery is back to normal again since 17.3. with 17.4 and 17.5 battery sucked like hell. Using 15 pro max btw.
I appear to have a bug where when I am on a call with someone I can’t swipe it away and have them on speaker and do something while continuing with that call. It’s only happened since updating to the latest version. It’s the first bug I’ve actually noticed so I can’t complain too much.
ive been having same connectivity issues, even on wifi. sometimes i need to manually open wifi configs so it can show nearby wifi connections (even when i'm home)
Pictures appeared and reappeared after being deleted many times!!
I had my brightness go all the way down and wouldn't go up....restart fixed it ....
When I turn the volume down in control center with the slider, the volume display will bounce back up. It’s frustrating when I want the volume down all the way. When I use the volume buttons, seems to not misbehave. 15 pro max on the beta.

17.5.1 has Connectivity issues for my 15 Pro. Same indications as you.
No wonder I've been getting better sleep lately 🤣Aside from having the alarm fix, I do hope that the alarm is more integrated with the health app and have features like a flexible/smart alarm clock, so there is an option aside from the one that requires a download & subscription.
I still have the alarm bug sometimes it rings and sometimes it skips
It’s made my iPhone 15 plus performance shockingly bad. Noticed so many stutters, had to restart twice as had signal issues and autotyping is so bad. It’s made an60 hz screen even worse now

I am also having the connectivity issue, where the cellular network keeps switching between 5G and LTE and also my secondary eSIM does not get network at most of the times. It has been buggy since iOS 17.5 itself if I am not wrong.

Have not heard anything about "Do Not Disturb" not turning off at scheduled time. Must do manually. Been this way since I first started using DND.
I actually have a great epxerience with the 17.5.1 update, using 15 pro. Battery life is more than acceptable, the idle drain is minimal close to almost 0 (it’s actually somewhere between 1-3/4% after like 6-8 hours), no freezes, no visual bugs so far, snappy and fast, so far the best experience I’ve had since the launch of IOS 17.

Thanks for the feature in comments. Auto brightness is improving but I have to constantly adjust it after 17.5.1. It’s not getting worse or better at this point. Hopefully a few more reboots will fix it. Also not bad on how you said my name 😅. Really appreciate your videos.

Apple Music could really do with having a built in customisable EQ, not just EQ presets. Spotify has had this feature for years and it really is a helpful tool that allows users to somewhat tailor the sound of their devices to their own personal tastes.
AT&T here, having the connectivity issue here. Had to turn off cellular and back on.
Crazy how many bugs are around atm.
Small bugs like the squared off notifications,
long persistent bugs like that randomly the keyboard typing sound is balsting at 100% volume despite my volume being low and not changing it,
HOMESCREEN WALLPAPER SATURATION ISSUE(!!)
notification center generally buggy and not being always working fluently
and major bugs like the alarm clock not working, deleted pictures showing up, not being able to edit the standby clock screen.
Thats a shame for a company like apple and seeing that some bugs exist since a long time

My wife and I are both experiencing freezes on 17.5.1 on 14Pro's. Similar experiece encounted on iPad 11.5 Pro. Much harder to force start that iPad.
For a few hours yesterday, I had connectivity problems on Verizon with my 15PM on iOS 17.5.1, with cellular and wifi. During that time, my other Apple devices had no connectivity problems at all, just the iPhone. And I was in an area that normally has excellent coverage, with a cell tower nearby.
Battery life has been really good for me. On my 15PM, I'm getting close to 10 hours SOT, or 10% battery drain for each hour of active use. This has been the case for me for most iOS 17.X versions for the last few months.
I'm on full 17.4 and almost everything works. It'd be nice to update to get security patches but I'l wait.
Anyone else notice battery drain and heating on iPad OS 17.5.1 on an M2 iPad Pro ?
Apple updates have just become bug exchanges
Yes sadly, the polish that ios updates used to have is just not there anymore. Apple is so saturated atp that the cracks in the system are easily visible. Every major update has to have another .1.1 update with it the next day to fix sum
I think its just the way business is these days. They have deadlines to push these out and these phones are getting to the point that they do way too many things that they do not have the time to test every single variable to ensure everything is acting correctly and performing normally. Unfortunately this is where we are at
17.5.1 SE2 all notifications all together not working , ive tried everything except factory reset. its not something i want to do , im no beginner with my iphone .. i think i just have to wait for 17.6 and hope that will fix it

I’ve had connectivity issues with Safari for months. I don’t even remember for how long because it’s so long. I’m going to delete extensions to see if it helps

Don’t know what the deal is with my 13 Pro Max but it has been froze here and there and my Ultra is not sending texts after the new update …
Standby mode consistently changes the items chosen to display.
I have mine set to show a clock with the weather but I often find it’s changed to photos with a blank area or some other thing. 🏴
Mine does that too and it also freezes the second and minute hands in the clock.
I think the most annoying bug in iOS 17.5.1 is the bad WiFi connection, it's true as you said, I often have to turn WiFi off and on again to browse or open the app store. 15 pro max.

I’ve always had issues with public WiFi with the iPhone 15 pro since day once of its release.
I have the same issues with the M4 iPad which has the same modem at the 15pro.

There is an issue with screen time / parental controls not updating accordingly. I had to open a ticket with Apple support, pulled logs and there is not a resolution yet.
I had issues with Bluetooth
My camera freezes up when taking pictures. Stutters. So many bugs.

i’ve been experiencing a fairly prevalent bug since iOS 17 in which I can’t swipe up to exit an app to the home screen (not kill the app). Strange since i’ve been having to use assistive touch without my phone having a home button anyways?? 😅
iOS 17 Dad 5.1 is actually running pretty smooth. I’m glad it did fix an issue where photos will come back after you have recently deleted them. I’m glad that’s fixed iPhone 12.

I don’t know if this is right but I change from Google chrome to Safari and everything work more smooth and faster. I got louder sound on iMessage and more clear voice on FaceTime. What’s settings could I change for battery this update is awful
turn off background app refresh,
turn off your phone from time to time and let it rest for 2 hours or turn it off at night when you’re sleeping.
turn on airplane mode when you don’t need cellular data, ( you can still use wifi ).
turn on power saving mode,
use lower brightness, sometimes when it’s sunny outside auto brightness turns brightness to maximum so it’s not good for the battery. i just turn auto brightness off
disable vibration
close all pages if you don’t use them
i know this is extreme, but this is the only options i can give you
Third party Wallpaper looks dull on home screen as compare to lock screen.. That bug is still present even after many updates 😢😢
After installing iOS 17.5(and 17.5.1) I experienced battery drain and my battery health dropped 2% in 1,5 weeks. Battery drain might be an issue with the update but is this normal for battery health to drop that quick? Please help (IPhone 14 pro)

@@kjavv0r789 recent updates screw up the battery health also bro. Better not to update your phone anytime the update releases. Wait for at least two weeks and see for other users feedback. That's how I'm conserving my battery health.

currently in 17.5.1, i don't know if it's just my device but sometimes if i take a single burst photo (via a quick swipe of the shutter button to the left), open it from the camera app and delete it, take another single burst photo and open it via the camera app again, the deleted photo would reappear. other times it would not happen, other times it would. am using an iphone 13.
additionally, i noticed the notification center became more 'wonky' after 17.5 from 17.4 like the notifications would overlap when playing music and the corners would become more 'square'. though, did notice that there were less 'loading' or 'reloading' in 17.5 and that heat and battery has been great.

My problem with the alarm NOT going off is of a difference nature: The alarm on the iPhone 14 Pro Max works just fine, BUT the alarm sometimes fails to go off on the Apple Watch SE 1ST GEN that is paired to the 14 P.M.!

I was testing gen 2 and pencil pro, seems to unpair. But eventually gen 2 was recognized on its ipad 12.9. Might have been interference from my logitech k480.
I still have the issue since 17.0 with the suggestions when I'm writing a text either messages, note or whatsapp. This is beyond annoying!

Since 17.4 I have a bug related to email notifications and email. The email notifications dont populate quickly anymore and when I open an email, it takes time for the complete email to open, spinning wheel.
I had an issue with my Apple Watch Ultra 1 not connecting via wifi to my iPhone 15 pro. had to turn off wifi for watch to sync data on complications. Would not sync when wifi was on. Reset to factory new and that took care of the issue.
I’m still on 17.4.1 it’s very stable with no bugs and insane battery, screen on time 9hrs+

Apple always downplays their screw ups with the "it only affected a small number of users" statement EVERY SINGLE TIME. I am calling complete BS on that one.
That’s because out of millions of users it really is a small amount of people that it affects.

Since updating to ios 17.5 and 17.5.1, the automatic handoff of my Aripod Pros has been a mess, If I tell my iPhone 15 to forget this device (AirPods) it prevents me from connecting to an old iPod Touch. Auto switching is such a lazy idea to begin with, if I want o switch from one device to another phone laptop or iPod it is easy enough to do without it deciding which device I want to connect to. Makes listing on my iPod while working on my laptop inposible.
Side loading should be for everyone and optional by user’s choice ❤

Not really. You would be better off just opening maybe a Safari window or something like that

The iOS 17.4.1 update ruined the iPhone 12 for me.. battery draining like 5% every minute and stuttering everywhere in the UI. Then with high hopes of a fix in the 17.5, but nothing helped
