Your HDB flat is so tastefully done, it is no lesser than a condo, only less the amenities that came with it. But you are also compensated by the convenience of a HDB estate, such as easy access to supermarket, hawker centers, coffee shops, parks, public transport, etc. Clever choice :)

@@TheKrazyKoala Cats are so cool...they don't need so much attention as dogs. And who says cats are noisy and urinate the corridors? As a dog person living overseas for many years, I came back home and got cats instead due to living space. Cats are better for Singapore residents.
Your apartment is lovely! I lived in Canada for a few years and the term public housing there has a very "under privilege" feeling with a lot of people. Not the same here. Damn nice. HDB living is no way a lesser mean of living especially is not a slump.There are many savings such as conservation fee, the free up of more cash in your bank account and you enjoy the care directly from the government.
Thats a smart move, staying in HDB flats. Amenities within walking distances or even next door, community living and generally good neighbours if one reached out, whole house to yourself although slightly abit more expansive than renting a room in a condo and most importantly, peace of mind.
Love Yuki's blue eyes, and Kiki's impersonation of Garfield. My dog also has an automatic feeder and water fountain. The fountain is really good in keeping the water clean and fresh.
@@TheKrazyKoala Yeah, it's a 6-tray feeder that feeds at a programmable schedule. My dog is easy to feed. He's a glutton, just like me....LOL. He'll eat most stuff and is happy with the same food everyday. I do give him treats like apples, bananas, coconut, wholegrain bread though.

TBH, these days, apart from lack of swimming pool, new HDB flat these days are pretty similar in quality, except HDB could be slightly bigger in size. Some HDB apartments even have BBQ area.
It is beautifully decorated and a really nice homely place to chill. Good choice. If you miss the gym or swimming pool, there should be one sport complex near your town area and if you go during working hours, they are practically empty with low entrance fees.

What type of houses are not important! The most importantly are the house you like and no stress are the keys! We cannot bring anything over to the next life so why whole life paying expensive home unless we can afford! Zero debts are the happiest thing in life! We welcome you to be our citizen because you deserved it and this is the foreign talent we needed badly for Singapore！
After noshing on that bak kwa be sure to brush your teeth and rinse out your mouth: that bak kwa is heavy on garlic and other strong aeromatics lol. When we can travel without quaratines (probably) next year, my first breakfest in Singapore will be kaya toast at Ya Kun and dinner at Boon Tong Kee for their fish maw soup and chicken rice. Beyond that it will be visits to several of the city's hotels for their glutinous buffets.

TBH, these days, apart from lack of swimming pool, new HDB flat these days are pretty similar in quality, except HDB could be slightly bigger in size. Some HDB apartments even have BBQ area.

It is beautifully decorated and a really nice homely place to chill. Good choice. If you miss the gym or swimming pool, there should be one sport complex near your town area and if you go during working hours, they are practically empty with low entrance fees.

After noshing on that bak kwa be sure to brush your teeth and rinse out your mouth: that bak kwa is heavy on garlic and other strong aeromatics lol.
When we can travel without quaratines (probably) next year, my first breakfest in Singapore will be kaya toast at Ya Kun and dinner at Boon Tong Kee for their fish maw soup and chicken rice. Beyond that it will be visits to several of the city's hotels for their glutinous buffets.
