Both the high and low version are a dope clean looking shoe and criminally slept on if Travis Scott or Kanye wore these ppl would go crazy smh . Just copped these today fresh shoes .

Its definitely cheap looking and feeling compared to the original, the sole is just two-color (the orange inset is missing), and its sized almost a whole size bigger than other brands. On the other hand I got it at Nordstrom for $73 !
Yeah adidas sizing is always all over the place but hey you snagged a good deal!✌🏼

funny bumping into this vid...Just last week i went for a quick run at the local mall and randomly stepped into the adidas store and there were these shoes, the ADI 2000

I was blown away when i tried them on...kinnda reminded me of an old osiris shoe like ones that Jerry Hsu wears in his part
had my board with me and just standing on it looks so sweet...but sadly the sole is just too effin thick and the rubber is too grippy...went to the park and ZERO board feel, couldnt handle it
Im guessing these RIVALRY dont have much board feel as well
Im thinking about looking for a shoemaker\cobbler and ask if its possible replacing the sole for something thinner haha
anyways, you really outta check them out...theyre awesome lookin and super comfortable and snug

That’s funny I was just looking at the green/black/white colorway of that shoe I had to do a double take since I had similar EQT shoes in the 90s from Adidas and a black colorway of one of the skate shoes that inspired The ADI 2000. Definitely retro vibes glad to hear about your experience with them though skating in them. Rivalry just gotta really break in that cup. ✌🏼

If you wear socks I’d stay with your regular size there’s a little wiggle room but I’d stick with your normal size 5.
Is the sizing same as Supercourt?
From what I hear the supercourt is true to size and some say it’s a little wide but I don’t own a pair.
Peace--I wear a size 11 in Dunks. I was considering a pair of these but they only have a 10.5. Do you think I could get away with a half size down without totally killing my feet?
That’s a tough call. They do run just slightly larger, just slightly but I don’t think they would be comfy for you my friend with a half size off your 11 dunk sizing.

Are the shoes comfortable?
They aren’t running shoe comfortable but if you’ve worn any basic cupsole shoes it’s that same feeling - pretty bare bones in terms of cushioning just a thin slab of EVA foam and rubber sole. With that said I wear mine pretty often and no complaints other than they aren’t as comfy as my running shoes with a big stack of bouncy foam on the sole.
@@SOLESERFER So does daily use tire the feet? Isn't it an ideal shoe for a standing person? I ordered but I don't want to regret it.
Sorry I didn’t see this second comment. Let me know what you think. They aren’t bad but I prefer a little more modern cushioning.
@@SOLESERFER Thank you very much for your comment. I'm so undecided between ozweego and these, I just can't decide. I plan to wear it daily, but also to avoid tiring our feet if we stand a lot.

I haven’t skated in any in a long time but if you don’t mind a heavier cupsole shoe with a leather upper -I used to like skating in them.

Definitely. That’s why I wore the shoes that I wore from the early 80s onward from the UTFO x Roxanne battles to Ultramagnetic MCs to Jungle Brothers to BDP, PE, EPMD, PRT and KMD ….From Zulu Nation, Rocksteady Crew, to WU. Kool Herc to Q Bert, Flash to Roc Raida on and on the sneakers we wore were an expression of who we were and they always will be. ✌🏼 edit - shout out to all my homies in graffiti crews to this day they don’t get the respect in the sneaker community they deserve and I always want to include them.
You got me thinking …Rivalry came out in 86 which was a so so year for album releases but in 87 Paid in Full, Yo Bum Rush the Show, Criminal Minded and Rhyme Pays dropped and things were never the same. Crazy how time goes so fast. I still remember going to the record store a cpl times a week to see the new releases and getting excited.
MC Shy D wore rivalys so did the Beastie Boys and also Original Concept wore them..
A classic the Rivalry deserves more love.
