Good, succinct review. I believe this Adidas model came out in 1986. When I was 13 in 1988 I was able to get a pair of the hi-top version worn by Patrick Ewing in the NY Knick's colors for $55.00 at Sportmart in Chicago back in the day. Probably my favorite aesthetic of any sneaker I ever had as a kid.

You just saved me time of ordering these and returning them. I found some Rivalry 86 Lows in a nice beige,white and olive colorway. But if they're not comfortable then I dont want them. Comfort for me is nb 1 with sneakers...shame cuz the colorway was so nice.

Adi2000, personally it's my most comfortable shoe, it's bulky etc but super comfortable, I have both rivarly low 86 and forums 84 and the comfort is unmatched

Incredible kick , neutral inoffensive colour way, build quality unmatched, 1/2 size up, kicks with heritage breath of fresh air from Nelly AF1s or Numbskull Dunks and a nice clean switch up for the discerning. Made in France vintage ones holy grail shit - for connoisseurs like vintage Italian leather Jordan 2s … not for newbies to this -$$$$$$$$
