Awesome! When I look at my dad I feel he's got lots of time left to enjoy the outdoors - as long as he takes care of his health just as we all should. Almost impossible to regret a camping trip, yet so often we wish we had spent more time outdoors when we could. Hope you get out there very soon, and let me know when you do! Cheers!
I think out of all your videos, this was the one I enjoyed the most. It made my heart melt during story time in the tent with your father. You boys are great sons, and your father is so appreciative of you.
Your dad will remember trips like this when he's a very old man and can no longer join you. I recently lost my dad, treasure these times with him. Another great video Max. Thanks for taking us along in your neck of the woods.
I so relate to your father’s perspective! I’m 67 and enjoy the comforts of our cabin but miss the beauty of those other times. Fire warms you, a good meal sustains you, simple things that make you feel alive! Enjoy this video so much Maxim! Thank you!
What a gorgeous video, as always. Seeing the father and two of his boys camping and hiking out in the Canadian wilderness in winter is a real pleasure to see...🙏🇨🇦❤️🌟👍
How great to take your dad with. What a lasting memory for everyone. I could tell your dad was having a great time with the two of you. Cherish those moments! Thanks so much for taking us along too!
Thank you, that was quiet private letting us join the three of you. It´s great, that you brought your father and surely a very bonding experience. And my greatest respect goes to him for getting out of his comfot zone at his age. Thats something most people don´t do and it´s getting harder the older you get. Loved the video :)
Oh how nice for you and Xander to get your dad out for another winter camping adventure always awesome to spend time with a family member doing just this and sharing some good food, good stories and chat around a fire. such a pretty area . thoroughly enjoyed this and happy to hear your dad loved it. watching from Ontario Canada.
So many details in this video touched my heart. Listening to your dad read, made me stop and ponder. His gratitude and explaining about his comfort zone…I can relate. I would love to go back in time and experience these adventures. Awesome you both take him along creating beautiful memories. Oh and your night shots…so relaxing and stunning!! Thanks Max, love your style more and more.
I just watched Xander's video of the same trip, and I think it's amazing how the two of you have such different approaches to telling a compelling story. Thanks for another great adventure!
Love when you & Xander do these trips together, That along with your dad who is my age, makes for an unforgettable experience. I love the reading your father gave, it was perfect for the feeling that this whole trip generates from within. As I've commented in some of your other vid's Max, your music is absolutely a perfect accompaniment to them. Love to y'all! ❤
Hearing your father speak and being grateful from you and Xander for taking him out was so rewarding. Great video, good food, awesome drone shots, even better company!
Could watch for hours Maxim's videos , they are captivating , almost hypnotic , cant find the exact word in english . Thanks for the relaxing moment before bedtime
What a great video of your adventure. And thanks to “dad” for his description of what it’s like to do winter camping with his sons at his age ( I wondered how he felt as I’m older and would love to winter camp). You guys are great, and “Dad” you’re the best! Blessings
Great video Max, so cool for you and Xander to take your dad out. I loved his reading of the stoic Aurelius. Seems we all need more this spirit of stoicism to get through the crazy times we face at the moment. Great escape. Thanks for showing us the beauty of the north in a blanket of snow.
Great video with your Dad and brother, Max. Very heartwarming, indeed and a wonderful memory to behold. Such a beautiful area and quality footage. And, always great food. Lovely listening to your Dad's perspective. Good for him!! Thanks for sharing another great adventure. Blessings.
This warms the heart! And not just cause cutting and hauling firewood by hand is the ultimate workout... It's a pitfall to get too comfy in this world, a trap in which we can find ourselves just going to work, buying things, driving things, eating things, and repeating things.
Wild camping with the old man, I think that is an extreme privilege in this day and age where kids don't care about their parents. You and your brother are blessed! may you have many many more adventures with your family!
Thank you, Foresting. I also hope for many more years of adventure with family. Now that my generation of my family is starting to have kids I need to make sure all the young ones are being thoroughly indoctrinated to love camping so I have someone to take me out when I'm older haha. Here's to generations of outdoor enthusiasts! Cheers to the journey ahead! 🏕️👨👩👧👦✨
That was great!! I love snow! And I think it was awesome for you and Zander to take your dad out winter camping!! I’m in my 60’s and I don’t think you would have gotten me out there. I trust and know that the 2 of you know what you’re doing but I’m sure happy that you got your dad out there. I know what he means by being content with his life and it makes me happy to know he can do this kind of thing with you guys!! Amazing scenery that’s why I watch both of your channels I enjoy each and every one of them!! Thanks so much for sharing!! My favorite is wildlife and I truly love all the birds you film!! God bless and keep safe!! ❤
Hello, Margaret! Yeah my dad did great! His age was absolutely no issue and he kept up with us just fine. I think for lots of people the hardest part is mentally accepting the little discomforts like getting wet and doing your business in a hole in the ground haha. All the best and thank you for such a nice comment!
My pleasure sharing, Junn (don't know if that's your actual name, sorry). Sorry about your dad, but I'm happy the video gave you some comfort. All the best and thanks for stopping by!
LOVEthis one Max! I love them all but it is such fun to see you all out there together 😌 Your Dad and I are about the same age so his thoughts about getting out of his comfort zone certainly resonate and good for you to get him back out with you ❤️ Thanks so much for bringing us Max! Barret
Your video shows how much you enjoy being in the outdoors. Either by yourself, with your wife, friends or family, you show how the outdoors just bring you so much joy. You show how you can enjoy while also respecting the wilderness. Thanks again for your videos.

Hey Paul! Thank you for that - I'll show my dad your comment :) Sorry to hear you miss your dad, but I hope there were some comforting feelings as well. All the best to you and thanks for watching.
Max, you do a really good job. Your videos have such a chill vibe, between your relaxed personality, beautiful ambient music, or no music and just the sounds of what you’re doing. Your love for nature and wildlife really comes through. And I also appreciate when you film wildlife. You let the camera hold on your subjects, which allows us to really take it in. As a bonus, you tell us what we are looking at! SUBSCRIBED!!! Keep up the good work!
Thank you, Slone. That's realy nice feedback about the longer shots. I'm always trying to figure out a balance between giving the eye time too look at things, while keeping a good pace so there is flow to the video. Thanks again! Cheers
*@**5:20** . . .be still my beating heart THAT is an epic film capture whomever you are* ! Your video thumbnail of this clip brought my eyes to your channel.
Hello, and thank you! I was pretty happy when I saw that shot! It's super helpful to know why people decide to click. Please feel free to share criticism or feedback any time! All the best to you "whomever you are!" :)
Absolutely beautiful … gorgeous photography .. I can see where you boys get yr handsome looks and gentle nature .. very well captured .. I was thrilled to see the stars in the night sky us who live in cities don’t often get to see thank you ❤
Beautiful drone shots and starry nights! That hot stove has seen better days but still functional. @28:58 reminds me of Benny Hill (time-lapse). That is great of spending time with your dad and Xander especially the modern times with Social Media alot of peeps are missing out on the outdoors and the serene forest.
Hey there! Sorry for taking so long to reply... The hot stove still has lots of life in her! They tend to get warped and rusted almost immediately (not sure you can prevent it with these kinds of portable stoves). I couldn't agree more regarding it being an amazing way to spend time with loved ones. So nice to be somewhere without screens! Cheers and thanks for watching!
Hey, Steve! Everyone seems to have loved seeing my dad in this video, and I'm not surprised - he's such a sincere and likeable character. :) Sorry to disappoint on the fox footage! Thanks for watching!
This popped into my feed for some reason. I had to watch it a second time! Better a second time!😃👍 It’s getting me psyched for some 3 day winter snowshoeing with hammocks!
Well done and nicely filmed! Good on your Dad for stepping out of his comfort zone and you both for letting him in to yours. I can definitely relate being a few years older than your Dad. My exercise now is shovelling snow and splitting wood for the fireplace where I can enjoy these outdoor videos sitting on my keister. My days of winter camping are long behind me having done that in my twenties in northern saskatchewan while working for mineral exploration companies. Keep up the great work, thanks for sharing and be safe😊.
Thanks, Mark! Shoveling and splitting wood is the perfect compliment to enjoying a comfortable sit by the fire - that's my lifestyle when I'm up at my family cottage :) Cheers!
I just thoroughly enjoyed this video! The three of you were all in sync. I think you need to do a spring video with your dad. Canoeing? A summer video and especially a late September or early October video with your dad. Take him on the greatest canoe trip of his life. Bravo.
Max and Xander enjoy your time with your dad. Hopefully you can have more adventures with him. I lost my dad 9 months ago. We made plans to do our camping trip, a month later he was gone. I just wish I could have had one last moment with him in the woods. I bet your dad loved every minute he was out there with you. Make the most of it guys. Much respect from Michigan .
Thank you, Stephen! You like the audio? Do you mean the parts with just the sound of wind in the trees? Thanks for the feedback - it's very useful to me. Cheers!
@@maximbudnick Hi MAxim, I watch a fair bit of TH-cam and yours just sounded a lot crisper and clearer than what I had recently heard. Maybe the general nature sounds in the background appealed to my bias?!
As I’m cuddled under my heated blanket in Tucson Arizona I’m so enjoying the Budnick family snow adventures. You brothers rock it and having dad along is the cherry 🍒 Thanks for everything you all share.
What an amazing trip! Great to see you and Xander taking your father out for some woods medicine. Your dad's badass! He's cuttin wood, throwing logs on his shoulder and dragging em into camp! That's awesome! Maxim, I wanted to ask you guys... how do you stay so fit to be able to do these winter trips where you're towing big trains into the bush during the winter and felling dead trees, buckin em up and splitting them. And then get up the next morning and do it all over again like you guys did with the Baird boys last winter. We don't really have these massive open parcels of vastness here in New England like you guys do until one gets up to far northern Maine which is almost to you😃. You wouldn't be able to go into the "backcountry" of New Hampshire or Vermont and get the kind vastness like you guys have there. There's way too many visitors and there's hardly any firewood like what's up where you guys are. I would venture to say there's some secret squirrel woody areas here in Mass that one could potentially pull a trip like this off but I'm not sharing😏. Sorry... this was wordy. Take care, Happy New Year and Thanks for taking us along. NQU
Hey NQU! How have you been? The major factor to me staying fit is that I genuinely enjoy physical activity - exercising doesn't feel like a chore so I never go more than a day or two without being active. The type of activity doesn't even matter that much - I just go for the best option available to me. I understand the struggle of not having wilderness available close by. I lived in nyc for many years and sometimes felt that the relative proximity of Harriman SP was all that kept me sane... There is some phenomenal hiking in NH though... I'll probably go back in the near future...
Max, Bro... Very emotional video for me. The scenery is always beautiful, filming, again Always Incredible but... The focus on family does it for me. Your dad's speech, I cried... Beautiful. Thank you so much...❤❤❤ The memories it brought back of times camping & fishing with my dad & brothers... Thanks again
Really enjoyed this one Max! Awesome to see you and Xander get your Dad back out there "out of his comfort zone". I'm sure this will be an adventure you all remember for many years to come. Always looking forward to your next video.
Amazing. As usual Max the scenery is beautiful. The ability to be with your dad And Xander. I sit and watch you and always in awe as to your shots and narration. Waiting for the next one and safe travels.
Hello, Jane! Thank you :) Yup it was very special to be out with my dad - as it always is. And I'm really happy I'll have the video to look back on over the years - a lucky side effect of making a youtube channel! Thanks again!

Full circle - Dad trusting your experience. That vid looking up through the 5-6 trees at stars was dope.
True - thanks!
I am also in my 60’s. You’ve inspired me to take up camping again, after many years.
Cheers!

Hi Rita! He really did! He's come on 2 trips recently and surprised me with his athletic ability in both. Good for him! Thanks for stopping by, Rita!
Your dad will remember trips like this when he's a very old man and can no longer join you. I recently lost my dad, treasure these times with him.
Another great video Max. Thanks for taking us along in your neck of the woods.
Sorry to hear you lost your dad. It's so important to spend time with family while you still can. Thanks for the kind words. Cheers!
I so relate to your father’s perspective! I’m 67 and enjoy the comforts of our cabin but miss the beauty of those other times. Fire warms you, a good meal sustains you, simple things that make you feel alive! Enjoy this video so much Maxim! Thank you!

really beautiful work, Max. There is so much texture and pattern in your scenes. Thank you for bringing Dad and Xander along.
"My world as an older person doesn't involve walking out into the wilderness..." Love hearing your dad's heartfelt remarks
Thank you so much Leslie😀
The shots of the night sky from these locations are great, a world away from being under bright suburban sky.
Thanks! The clear skies and sound are the best part of getting out of the city. Cheers!
Nice video. Though the time lapse on the sled at the end nearly triggered my epilepsy
That was the idea. Then proceed to steal all of your money.

Hey Bog! How ya been? Thanks for that comment - specially about the music :) Glad you enjoyed
I really enjoyed this video, great storytelling style 😊
Thank you, Angela! I feel story telling is probably my weakest skill when it comes to filming - so that's really nice to hear :) Thanks for watching!
Following the fox tracks led to unexpected fun sliding down areas of the trail, dodging trees. Great to witness another adventure.
Thanks!
Very endearing ....enjoyed watching you three grown men play. It's what keeps you young, ya know. Beautiful father /son time
Thank you Lucinda! My apologies for taking so long to get back to your comment. All the best to you and thanks for stopping by!

Great video Max, so cool for you and Xander to take your dad out. I loved his reading of the stoic Aurelius. Seems we all need more this spirit of stoicism to get through the crazy times we face at the moment. Great escape. Thanks for showing us the beauty of the north in a blanket of snow.

Thanks! I'm a musician so I do spend a fair bit of time trying to make sure the sound is okay. Thanks again for that feedback
Awesome Max. You and Xander's drone work is phenomenal. Keep posting!
Thanks, man. You've got some nice videos - love the peaceful audios. Cheers
@@maximbudnick Thanks Max. I appreciate it.
:)
As I’m cuddled under my heated blanket in Tucson Arizona I’m so enjoying the Budnick family snow adventures. You brothers rock it and having dad along is the cherry 🍒 Thanks for everything you all share.
Sounds nice. Glad to be a part of your evening!
Thank you, Jerry! These kinds of trip are everything, and I feel so happy to know I'll have these videos to keep the memories vivid. :)
Nice ending shot with the car just like Xanders vid. Great to see a father with his two sons.
