    Ground in front of the drill is being cleared and prepped for tunneling. More car carriers today. Production seem a little slower than with the end of the quarter push. For information on Kalshi Event Trading use the link www.Kalshi.com/bradsloan

    0:19. Highway side. Far left. Delivery of concrete vaults.
    0:53. GA. Apron. Trailer with a couple of what appear to be flues. Some mounting points on one end suggests vertical installation.
    Also on the roof to the right. Similar stored at 8:04 to the right.
    2:09. Southend. Inside. West tunnel/passage. Wall rebar installed. Same horizontal rebar detail for a roof as the other examples.
    2:22. Southend. Inside. Centre tunnel/passage. Concrete placement in progress. Pump truck and boom just visible.
    2:41. Southend. Roof. Steel stud frame, insulation panels. Start of the parapet construction. Backing wall for a glazed parapet I would guess.
    4:14. Parking garage site. Left. Stair flights. Can only be for the north east corner.
    4:29. Windtunnel. Cybertruck parked beside the turntable.
    5:41. Southend, east. Left. Excavation works continue on the easement.
    5:50. Southend east. Inside. East tunnel/passage. Formwork stripped. Stairwell and adjoining tunnel/passage now obvious.
    6:30. Highway west. Stripping the vegetation from above the tunnel alignment. Possibly to build up earth over the tunnel as previously suggested by David Salisbury
    6:52. Westside. Tunnel Project. TBM. 3 complete lining rings now visible.
    7:16. Westside. Tunnel Project. Spoil conveyor operational.
    8:22. Westside. Storage. Bottom. Tanks are in fact silos.
    12:37. BESS switchyard and BESS installation. Far side. Completing the gravel outside the fenceline.
    14:13. Plastics. Apron. Left. Delivery of rebar.
    14:53. Casting. Apron/road berm. Left. Spreading earth over the ‘Geo-Cell’.
    15:05. Casting, east. Apron. Bottom right. Stack of waste aluminum ‘sows’.
    15:19. Casting east. Apron. Screw piles trimmed to grade and capped with steel plates. Bundles of rebar beside the trailer.
    Suggests a slab, not a building. Similar seen most recently in Joe’s Corpus Christi videos.
    15:36. BIW. Apron. Rebar placed.
    18:17. Cathode west. Tank Farm. Fitting a component to the top of the tank.

    Saw them dropping that spare inverter/charge controller for the Megapack the other day. Pretty smart actually. If there is a failure its more likely to be that than the batteries themselves these days.

    • @DavidJohnson-tv2nn
      @DavidJohnson-tv2nn หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a transformer with possible circuit breakers and control functions. It is not a spare. There is a high probability it will replace a transformer on the north end.

    Dunno if it's just me, I thought giga texas was self sustained, do they still use power from the grid or???? At 12.43 in this video 😊 TIA

    • @Gig0Surf
      @Gig0Surf หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yes they still use grid power. The substation in the foreground at 12:43 is to connect the Megapacks to the grid, and the larger one in the background connects GigaTexas to the grid [GigaTexas also has connections to the local distribution lines to the south and west as well]

    They are already tunneling. They drill/push the length of a concrete segment. Retract the pistons. Install the segments. Then push against the segments.

    Does it ALWAYS take this long to set up a TBM? Its like they have been at this for what? 6 months now? On the day the prufrok3 machine arrived, had a crew with picks & shovels & dynamite set to work, the tunnel would be done by now.

      @jbbuzzable หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@sammyk874 I agree, along with potential demo. I've always said that I don't expect it to show its full potential at this location.

    • @davidsalisbury50
      @davidsalisbury50 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      This is a soft ground tunnel. Hand tools and “dynamite” couldn’t be used to build a tunnel of this kind.
      A TBM of this size usually takes 4-6 weeks to set-up. This took 11 weeks effectively. TBC website claims 2 days.
      It seems they had delays waiting for the conveyor parts. Also may have been waiting for approvals from the local authorities for the crossing of the highway or the stripping of the surface vegetation we have seen happening today.

    • @davidsalisbury50
      @davidsalisbury50 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@jbbuzzableI disagree. I have seen nothing “new” on this TBM, it is all fairly standard equipment that has been in general use for 20-30 years now.
      Most TBM’s are “new” with a number of bespoke components. This is the third generation of TBC’s own TBM and has been the slowest setup yet. There must have been other factors involved such as the wait for the discharge cross conveyor and potentially approvals to start.

    Parking garage:
    @ 3:30 (Bottom left) What is the green thing on the concrete pad.... Generator? Electrical cabinet?
    @ 3:57 Final section of building being assembled and no elevator! I feel sorry for 10,000 people during shift change.
    South end:
    @ 5:40 (Left) What could they possibly be building on the utility easement?
    @ 6:09 (Bottom) Conduit trench under steel structure. Isn't this the location where some people are claiming the tunnel will come through? Or is it one bay to the left?
    EOL facility:
    @ 6:28 Striping vegetation from the tunnel route for some reason.
    @ 6:52 (Bottom left) and 7:38. Looks like 3 rings completed. The TBM is finally making some progress.
    @ 11:16 (Towards the bottom) Vaults and pluming for what is likely the lift station for the facility.
    BESS substation/Megapacks:
    @ 12:49 Too much clutter and shadows to confirm switch positions. But 3 switches are likely open as they were last time.
    @ 12:54 Caution tape closing off northwest corner of the yard. While they await installation of the new transformer. Seen @ 13:31.
    Northside of casting:
    @ 14:52 Spreading soil over erosion control mats. Erosion control is badly needed at many places on this site.
    Eastside of casting:
    @ 15:37 Placing rebar for new slab. Appears that they are going to preserve the 16 conduits from the old main power duct-bank. Seen to the right of the stairs, bottom of embankment.
