      Ciao Szamil,
      Buona giornata!

are they pumped like normal shock absorbers?

      Hello Ivan!
Monroe RideSense shock absorbers are electronically controlled and have some differences with standard shock absorbers.
Please have a look at the following video about how Monroe RideSense shock absorbers are built: th-cam.com/video/oh6jD98KBF8/w-d-xo.html
Hope you find it useful. Let us know if you require any further information.
      Have a nice day!

"Intelligent Suspension" it is not, the electrically controlled small piston on the side of the shock absorber has only 2 pins, there is literally no feedback to the car's board computer. The board computer only knows if it is connected at all or not, that's it.
Also it's called DampTronic and is being activated in Sports mode or in case of Seat/Cupra in 'Cupra' mode, all it does is it makes the shock not as soft and less comfort - the car is slightly stiffer, that's it.
DampTronic may be called 'DCC' in teh board computer settings.

Thanks for your comment. The term "MONROE Intelligent Suspension" represents the commercial designation assigned by MONROE to its line of original equipment (OE) electronic dampers. These dampers include both semi-active and active variants, which rely on electrical connections for their operation. Within this range of dampers, a spectrum of options is available, starting from the most basic, as highlighted in your comment, with just two modes (Comfort and Sport), to the most advanced variants. These advanced dampers allow for precise and independent control of extension hardness, compression hardness, and vehicle height for each shock absorber. This control is managed by a dedicated electronic control unit, purposefully installed for this task.
Modifications to these dampers are carried out based on data received from various sensors, which monitor parameters such as vehicle height, acceleration, steering wheel position, and vehicle speed.
      Have a nice day!

@@GarageGurusEU 0:47 in the video you have the DampTronic version, you can see two pins on the connector at - if you slow down the video. The other version with control of the height is also know as Air Suspension , you need a compressor for that - and if you have such air suspension, you can upgrade it to something controlled by the car itself, in that case such car will have bunch of sensors in the front bumper.
That is not what you see in this video.
In the video the guy puts new but not the same schocks, what he installs instead is "MONROE C2516S". Those shocks fir to my car as well :) i replaced them myself - Seat Leon Cupra ST 290 5F8, those fit also to VW GTI, Skoda RS, few Audi models etc.
btw the original schocks i had had the number "Monroe 5Q0512009AS" and since they are no longer being made, the C2516S is the cheapest replacement 😏

The hubs do not come away from the shock as easy as that. Even when pying open the pinch. It’s the hardest part of the whole thing and this guide shows no easy method of doing it.

Hello Westie! Thank you for your comment. You are right. Releasing the shock absorbers from the hub is one of the hardest parts of this task. Please follow the steps from the video to achieve the expected results. Also, it is key to install all bolts and nuts with the specified torque setting to avoid this problem. Have a nice day!

they actually do, you need to spray the, with WD40 right after you take off the wheel, taht will give the WD40 enough time to penetrate the dirt and dust, and once you set the spreader tool in there, it may even fall out on it's own - that is, if it is not rusty nor the aluminium os oxidised too much
