It was one of the new animatronics that caused the fire, I guess they thought the original ones we're less maintenance.

An observation: Walt would be turning over in his grave if he saw a man starting the Tiki Room show (what with Jose saying "...Senorita..."). Why in heavens name couldn't they simply have a woman always start the show like they did 50 years ago!
