Thank you for watching our ANTIQUING VIDEO in LA CROSSE, WI--a big building of 3 floors full of VINTAGE RETRO MCM décor and collectibles! We've always enjoyed thrifting and antiquing for vintage MCM furniture, lighting, kitchen dishes and fabulous accessories to use and decorate our home since 2005.
You will enjoy the beautiful winter scenery along the MINNESOTA RIVER VALLEY BLUFFS and crossing over the MISSISSIPPI into LA CROSSE. Our home is constantly changing as we find better, more fun vintage items at antique and thrift stores in MN and WI. I’ve been watching your vids for awhile I needed to subscribe I enjoyed your home tours like stepping back into the WayBack Machine.My house is Boho eclectic but not cluttered but I have items from different eras my house is fun too look at.I’m after those ceiling lamps with the chains to finish off my house.I have that Goddess water lamp in my house I cleaned it up and have it running now.I found it in a thrift store for 20.00 it’s very big.The rain is mineral oil👉😂👉👍

30 minutes further south of Rochester on Highway 63 and you would have been in my hometown of Spring Valley! As soon as the video started I knew you were going through Rochester! I spent a lot of time at the Mayo Clinic before my Mother passed away. Thanks again for the trip home...I haven't been able to make the trip with everything that has been going on. And I will be going to LaCrosse next time i am able to make the trip home!

We had a 40°c+ day yesterday, Tuesday (104f+ I think)...so would like to swap for a while! Although we did get the most glorious thunderstorm from 6pm to 9pm which cooled things down and gave a fantastic light show. Hope you have a warmer week ahead.

Hi Peg and Norm. This year I decided I wanted a collection of vintage tree toppers. So far I have two. Well, got to start somewhere right? The red and white canister, I almost purchased last week. It had four glasses with it, but there was something on the glasses that I didn't think would come off. I thought that pitcher and glasses would come home with you for sure. I wish this virus thing would end so we could go thrifting together. I have "goodies" for you too.

Thanks much for watching this video in La Crosse, WI and commenting ;-) I'm glad to hear you are also interested in finding more tree toppers--they really are a fun, smaller lighted decoration that's easier to store than blow molds. It's best that you didn't get the red/white glasses. It may have been hard water stains, but sometimes they have lost their shine on the paint and that's hard to deal with. Although, if you are just going to display them, I found that I can shine up my duller ice lip pitchers by wiping them with a Pledge or generic furniture wipe cloth. It really worked well and doesn't look smeary on the clear parts. I do put vintage glasses in my dishwasher. I know that's risky, but for many years we've been buying only Finish Max in 1 tablets or Finish Quantum packets. They are the only ones that read on the back, "Protects Glassware from Etching." Quantum is more expensive because it is stronger removing stuck on food. I use an Economy setting on our washer that is quicker and these softer packets work in short cycles. Maybe you are already aware of all that stuff but thought I'd let you know my experience with fading vintage tumblers ;-( I have given up on some of our glasses. The oldest 50's (maybe even 40's?) don't last, but I love the 70's patterned glassware. They are very fun and a little bigger and the paint is pretty tough. That's my experience. So the much older ones, I only use for display. Also, when I change all the ice lip pitchers, after they've been in the laundry room for a year, I run them through an Express cycle with no soap. The Finish Rinse Aid liquid shines them up very nice--no hand washing needed. Well, I should go now! So sweet of you to have some goodies for me too!! :-) TTYL
I live in Colorado but I’m from Minnesota, and when it’s once again safe to travel I will make the trip from Roseville to La Crosse. I’m a MCM fan and collector, and did they ever have the cool stuff😀
I sold my vintage Lamp Owl 2 yrs ago, my daughter didn't like his eyes lol.
What a fun store! I'll have to check it out someday (I live in Wisconsin). Very nice purchases! The Pyrex and the lamps were my favorites.

Hi Wendy! It's great to hear from you! Thank you for your question. Downtown Hopkins has 5 antique stores and they are all really nice. Then we also like Antique Mall of Rogers and there are 2 others right by them. Thirdly, Anoka MN is great with 4 big shops. Outside the Twin Cities, I like Hutchinson probably the most because they always have some great vintage finds at low prices. There are 3 big malls there.😊 I hope that's a good start for you. Hi! Thank you for watching this antiquing trip video and writing to us! I thought your friend should look at the sales of the lady head vases on at least this eBay link. I would not assume that all of hers are only $20-$30 each. She could have more rare ones. It's always best to research to find a picture of each one when possible. Yes, that would take a lot of looking, but well worth it so she could hopefully identify it by maker and sometimes when it was made to resemble a movie star/celebrity back then. Here's the link.
