Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed �The Colbert Report,� which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced ko_l_b__r, according to Wikipedia. The last time we made national news was when Jamie Oliver came and tried to show the schools how to cook a healthy lunch. Right after they said Huntington was the most unhealthy city in America. It's a primary, i.e. competition for the party nomination. There is no one else competing for the republican nomination, therefore Trump has no opponents in the current elections. As well, unless he beat both Bernie and Hillary by 2 to 1 or more, it means effectively nothing. Every Republican who voted voted Trump because he is the only name on the ballot, whereas the Democrats are still split between two candidates, roughly equally in many cases. Point of fact, your interpretation of the current competition is flawed, given that trying to beat each other is technically exactly what the Democrats are doing. They will not be directly competing with Trump until the general election. Also 'outbeat' is not a word.

For one, he won the last primary in West Virginia.
Two, he has strong support in California I believe.
Three, he has consistently been rated the best candidate vs Trump.
