Oomph put on an absolutely phenomenal live show. They're such an underrated band overseas. They deserve the same fame if not more than that which Rammstein have achieved. I still love them both. They're my two favorite bands that I can basically understand all their songs. I just can't speak or write German! 😂

This was a brilliant day, we'd seen a few bands already and one of us had a birthday. We were hanging out at the cocktail tent to the left of the party stage and then joined the crowd for Oomph!. There was this really grumpy older woman to my right who kept glaring at us, like we were having too much fun. It was kind of surreal.
Wirklich eine grandiose Vorstellung, welche Sie hier geliefert haben. Am genialsten fand ich den Mittelfinger an die anderen Bands mit ihren LOOPS etc. :D

Rammstein is more agressive, Oomph is more melodic and pleasant to the ear while still being really heavy. Oomph also seems to have more elements of Pop and Electronic Music than Rammstein. I absolutely love Rammstein, but they can sound like a machine at times (Which is the sound they're going for). Both bands may fit in NDH genre, but they can't be compared IMO.
I agree with the Rammstein part. Like, yeah, they're heavy and all that but their songs just don't speak to me vs. Oomph. I've listened to one or many songs of Rammstein because of how mainstream they are, but it didn't make me replay it. For Oomph, I first heard Labyrinth (the German version) and after that I spent weeks downloading and listening to their oldest tracks. I'm not saying Rammstein is bad. It's just that I prefer a band that has more melodic stuff in their songs (ala Marilyn Manson or MCR style), and the fact that Dero could sound different depending on the song (I swear on some tracks I thought it was a different person singing, but it turns out it was him), it entertains me more than Rammstein.
