We're really happy with how these turned out and would love to see any recreations of them that you make! I liked that you re-painted the box purse and the gold hardware looks amazing, but the purse looks unfinished to me. I think it would be better to add some hand painted elements, like the vintage box purses have.
Elle Zee It really does look pretty unfinished, the white paint looks like you did a base coat and then gave up
or even just a glossy coat over the white
She also could have done the lining as well. It was lame all around.
Agree completely! Some gold flowers would have been nice
adding some gold flakes evenly across the white would be the perfect finishing touch imo
Idk how i feel about the whole 'spray paint everything gold' theme thats going on... sometimes plain wood, concrete, glass, metal etc are also very very beautiful
Even I disliked what they did to the box bag. I felt that once the ugly beads were taken off it, the bag looked like such a lovely vintage box bag that would look so good worn with a minimal white dress for spring/ summer or for any vintage-inspired outfit.

Yes - and that white paint (which I bet will notttt be looking fresh up close) is going to look pretty cheap and sad especially once that gold chain starts rubbing it off on the corners

Baskets together could have turned out lovely but im not keen on the end result sorry it just looks like something someone would take to the thrift shop lol
I think that the basket purse had potential but just needed a few tweeks to make it look professional. Like reusing the handles and only the longest dowel for the handle. And staining or painting the dowels for a more polished look rather than raw wood that didn't really match.

I just thought it would be a cool idea I actually own a vintage adult tricycle. I have a disease that affects my balance and muscles so the tryicyle really helps me. Last summer I redid the entire thing but would love to see ideas for a future bike update!!!
Yess, Ive got an eletric bike due to chronic illness and movability issues, ive already put a flower vase on it but i want to pimp out my ride 😅

It would be super cool to mount some fairy lights in the underside of the tables! Light shining though would really emphasize how beautiful the shells are. :)
those little tables you made are the CUTEST thing!!! i would totally believe it if you told me those were like $400 a piece at anthropologie or something. these are so fun. they inspire me to flip items/unwanted clothing pieces i have around my house instead of just getting rid of them or letting the clutter pile up!!

Yes was kinda disappointed by that also. Without the beads, the purse looked amazing! Unique, as mentioned. I would have added something underneath the box purse, like strings of beads or tassels instead.
Love loved Loved the side tables. I would just have made the bases less thick and with a wider circumference.

I think adding lights under would have been cool (like led strip lights) or even adding a lamp kit on top like those old school lamp tables
i feel like the should have put the lampshades with the hollow part face up so it would be like a tray
I'm really dubious that the shell surface would be able to take anything heavy as well - so maybe some reinforcement would have been good
the box bag could have really done with something decorative on the white it looks so plain imo

@@eyesonyul I would had made a backpack, maybe. First I would had tied the two baskets together very strongly and then made a new entry to put stuff in, I think. 🤔 Then added some straps.
The actual idea of Kelsey and Becky is not even that bad, but the execution is not the best, in my opinnion. The product looks unfinished and like it doesn't hold stuff in. Usually Sorry Girls do such and amazing work and their final products are beyond amazing. Been fan for a few years and I watch every video.
Mona Bling that’s quite clever really. I completely agree, I’m a big viewer of their decor and upcycles but they occasionally seem lazy and that no effort was put in.
@@eyesonyul I think they are under a huge pressure and once in a while one idea falls a bit short. It's not the most dangerous thing, but... I don't know. Wish they'd keep it real and say like "Well... This isn't our best. But this is how it turned out" instead of the same old same old "This is SO cute" 😂 Would be quite funny and refreshing to hear the girls say "This is SO... crap. *Nervous laugh*" 😂

Pretty but I almost liked the original one better with the floral design it was too simple Maybe if you found like a pretty lase template and spray-painted gold on that or something around the corner is I don’t know just what I would’ve done but I loved the gold handle as well

These are my favorite of your videos. I love thrift flipping! That white box bag would have been so cute with metal decorative/protective corner caps. After flipping a few bags myself, adding little purse feet give it that extra oomph. Little wooden ones to match the handle of the basket bag would have been super cute.

I thought it wouldve looked better with one of those antique legs that are one big piece and then branch out into 3 or 4 feet
I like the concrete base, but I would have left it white. I think the industrial contrast with the delicate shells would have been cool!

Y'all are so creative. Not necessarily what I would have done with each of them but each person looks at things differently. This is why I like watching y'all so much, because you breathe new life in used objects.
I think the basket purse would actually be perfect for the beach or a lake day since it still has some gaps between the basket weaves, so the sand would shake right out. Super cute!
The box/bag turned out great !! I personally preferred it before because it had so much detail and it was very 70’s. Either way it looks pretty you gave it a completely new look !!
Fun fact: when there is only cement and water (like with the side tables), it's not concrete, its cement. In order for it to be concrete, you also need an aggregate.

"Dowel slot thing" is a toggle clasp. That box bag didn't look like an original Enid Collins, but definitely inspired by her work.
