Here is the FIRST LOOK at the Lifan KP Mini 150cc. A new mini bike with not that much information out there. What pushed me to this was the brand that was stable and makes good bikes, 150cc vs 125cc and a 5 speed rather than a 4 speed. I will admit I wanted to make videos about it also. Please enjoy.

I've been following this channel for a while and finally decided to get one. I picked it over the fuel injected 200cc KPR, it was a tough choice, but my reason was I will not be taking it on the free way, and if I wanted a bigger bike later for freeway I will go with a 300 or 400cc. The 200cc seems like a better bike for the money, since it was only $500 more with the end of the year sales event. But I figure it was only 50cc bigger and it weighs a whole lot more. Anyway, what kind of mods will I be looking at? I've seen your tips of tightening everything down with locktite, so that will be done first along with replacing the oil with Mobile 1, and then replace the chain with a DID or high performance one. What size chain is it, 428 or 420? and how many links? x type or o ring? And what is the size of the battery? I'm looking to replace that too right away with a lithium Ion version. And is there an online forum or community for this bike? Thanks!
I just ordered this bike. I’m so excited. Do you have any upgrades or tips for things to do to it?
My first tip is ride it for 509 miles before you mod it please. Enjoy it fully and know what it feels like when to do mods. First mod, exhaust :) the kp-Moto
@@SmallEngineVelocity 200 dollar price tag on that exhaust i seen dh gate got some cheap name brand yoshimuras for the low low wholesale price im just wondering because i cant take the look of this huge exhaust i painted it black now itsmaking me sick there was magic marker involved now it has that purple black look cut the pant leg offf some jordan track pants with the string adjuster for the seat lol im at 300 miles just put in some fresh bel ray and the whole sound changed and got deeper like a powerful stock grom i spent 2000 for this mini i hope i get at least 2 years outta it just think how much it would cost if u frented a car for 2 years or leased either way im winning king kong aint got u know the rest thanks ceasar for keeping us educated

There are pluses and minus but yes for sure I would buy it again. I will be putting new stuff for the Lifan soon :) if you got a mini you should ride with the NWHMM crew

RJ Gould was the guy with the series of videos--thanks for the link and it is nice to see they are still going at it on a Hawk and a Lifan Mini. RJ's friend bought his via Redoak Cycles in Dallas (?) or somewhere in Texas www.redoakcycles.com/ The only reason I bring it up is I believe they are the only dealership that is allowed to mail order them across the US for those (like RJ's neighbor) who don't have an American Lifan dealership nearby; otherwise, Lifan will not allow any other dealers to mail order them. Personally, I would prefer a dealer, but like ChinaBike Hellcat (Hellkitty on Chinariders?) I live in California, and the Mini is not CARB certified, so we can only purchase the KP 200/KPR 200 or the scooter or their electric vehicles.
I’m really thinking about getting this as it’s more power than a grom but not as expensive as the kymco spade.
Spade is EFI and has bigger wheels. Larger people seem to like it but carb or EFI it dos t matter that much at this size. Let me know if you get one :) join the FB Group the clone society
I eliminated the fender on mine with some custom work. Have a 1000 miles on mine so far and it runs strong and I've been beating on it after mile 500 but I have a few gripes. One started with the Fender.. was a pain to delete, the pegs arn't spring loaded.. they're just strait metal bars with rubber on them and they will drag on ground when you try to turn fast and they bend veeery easy even if they're nearly an inch thick. When doing wheelies the carb gets fuel starved if you come up to fast and bogs out. I have a weird shake around 45mph and up where it rides smooth 2 seconds then shakes, rides smooth 2 seconds, shake. Besides that it's been a solid bike. If someones just looking to scoot around or race it, perfect but do not try to hooligan too much on the thing... nearly non existent aftermarket and having to wait for parts from china will suck.
After talking to American Lifan they said 2 weeks ago the are going to release aftermarket parts but we will see.
They might only be talking about the Akrapovic pipe, carb and high compression head that they were talking about releasing. That would be nice because it would become even faster but I want to see some new pegs and a fender delete option lol. With those two things and maybe some company making some subframes and a decent crash cage for it would be sick.
BluuSkyz quick question, what did you do with the seat key hole? Relocate? I’m pretty sure any aftermarket they sell I would consider buying especially a fender eliminator

I am 5'6" tall and I can flat foot this bike, not to low tho where you can turn well.

Did you find out if Grom parts fit, I would like to do the stretch kit as well and lower the front & back including fender eliminator
No stretch does not fit because of the caliper mount is different, fender kit does not exist but you can use the generic one like I used and the shock in the rear is a clevis end 30mm and I have yet to find one. Front I have not tried but since it’s the same style I believe it would fit but we need a matching rear shock first.
Small Engine Velocity thanks hopefully more support from Lifan would be nice to see more options available, the stretch kit in my opinion gives it a more aggressive makes the bike look bigger
Honesty it’s just a more racing look at that would be nice for a racing look for the speed it has.

it is an oil filter and there is no spinner like the grom has. Easy ,simple and not 3 lbs
hello I have a question. Is it necessary to mix gasoline with oil? As in two-stroke engines? Excuse my ignorance.
No mixing,it is a 4 stroke.
