I've been watching as many of these types of videos as i can recently. I'm so excited to get into my new SS3 when it gets to me next week! I always love the niche bike communities you can find these days, thanks for the content!
Congratulations on your new bike! The SS3 is such a cool little bike and for a 150cc does really good riding on the highway at 55-60. I hope you have years of enjoyment out of it 👍🏻
@herbiesgarage681 I watched several of your videos now. I believe you raise the needle by lowering 1 notch and 35 pilot. What settings worked best for fuel, ex.1 turn fuel, 2 turns idle?
I had a similar problem with my Chinese clone of a Grom. The idle screw would back out from the vibration. I ended up putting a few wraps of Teflon tape and it hasn't moved since. I was going to use some blue locktite but figured I might need to adjust it. Good idea about the washers though. Thanks for posting your videos. I am thinking about getting one like yours but the fuel injected one.
Good idea with the Teflon tape! The efi mini would be great. I really like my carb bike, especially since I installed the Nibbi carb. The little 150cc engine really surprised me, it runs great and has enough power to go anywhere I want to take it. It’s a good reliable bike. If I can be of any help just let me know, I always respond to every comment.
I’m really looking forward to getting one of these bikes. Especially after seeing someone with one that looks and sounds Really CHERRY like youres!!CHEERS FROM EAST LOS ANGELES CA To all bike Heads, RIDE HARD N RIDE SAFE!!👌😉👍🛵🏍️🎱💣💯💯💯
Hello Ghosthippo, if you mean swapping the 150 for a 250cc then no I probably wouldn’t be interested in that. The 150cc does pretty good now and honestly I don’t think I would want to go any faster on this small bike 😁
Yes I did test it both ways and actually the 17 tooth sprocket only gives it a couple of mph higher and if it is really windy it may not gain anything. The main reason for me to run a 17 tooth is to lower the rpm’s while riding on the highway. It really depends on what you want but for me I like the 17t sprocket because it gives me enough speed and it runs at a lower rpm. Win, win I think
@@TheVTX88 It’s probably just the camera angle. I’ve tried different positions on my helmet to see where it looks best. Some positions are off set from center. The bike runs straight even when you remove your hands, I’ve tried it momentarily. But everything on it is straight, so more than likely it’s just the camera angle
Hello Jim, absolutely, I went to the dealer not too long ago to look at a new bike they had advertised for $5995. After all was said and done it was going to be $8101. 😏. Now granted some of that was tax title and license but still seemed like a $1500 up charge for whatever

@@KT1459 Only the front, one tooth up in the front is equal to about 3-4 smaller in the back. If you put on a smaller rear in order to create more speed you will probably loose speed because you don’t have the power to pull it at high speeds. How many miles on your bike, is it broken in yet, because they get a little better when it’s broken in fully. Mine would probably loose speed on a real windy day, other than that it did good. But I also have a Nibbi carb and the cat removed with a better flowing muffler which helps also.
@@KT1459 That would definitely help the top end power if you did. The difference in a new carb and exhaust isn’t astronomical but it does make enough of a difference that I thought it was worth it
@herbiesgarage681 interesting I'm not interested in that just want to make sure these little bikes have enough torque down low to get off a red-light on main roads quick enough. I mean I wouldn't be mad at increasing torque a bit I'm not worried about hitting 65 or 70 mph . So if 15 is the stock 1 on this lifan 150 bike what's there a 14 or 13 tooth?
Hello ktmracer, no not really, the KPR can travel interstate highways as well as maintain higher highway speeds more easily. The Mini is a great little bike and very useful in what it does best. If it’s really windy or hilly roads the mini struggles a lot more than the KPR for keeping highway speeds. I love both bikes and each one has its place. 😁
good deal i was a little worried the kpr200 might be on the chopping block. i have a kpm200 so a lot of your kpr content translates well for me. thanks for all the good videos
@@ktmracer3587 I plan on keeping the KPR for a while yet, I really do like that bike. The Kpm is a nice bike too and I’ve thought many times about getting one of those but what I have now suits me pretty good. Thank you for the compliment 👍🏻
The Venom SS3 has been super reliable, I don’t do anything but ride it unless I have a video I want to make on it. Lifan builds great quality bikes for the money. It definitely surprises me with power that the little 150 makes.
@@herbiesgarage681 awesome thanks for responding! Im thinking of using this for my daily commute. Is the seat comfortable for longer rides? I was also interested in the KP mini ss3!
@@remitheoccultist8091 comfort is a difficult thing because it’s so subjective. My comfort may not be your comfort and visa versa. But for me the seat is really comfortable for a while and then my butt starts to hurt. I can usually ride for 45 minutes or so with no pain at all but after that it gets a little uncomfortable sometimes. But I’m thin and not much padding on my butt. 😁
Kymko makes scooters right? I have been pretty impressed with Lifan products, I believe they are getting close to Japanese quality, a really good bike for the money. I like Lifan so much that I just ordered another Lifan bike recently. Thanks for the comment.
Maybe you can explain this to me, because I'm not understanding what you mean. Are you saying that this machine can't use ethanol gas? It absolutely can use ethanol gas, some places don't even carry non ethanol gas, in my area I have to drive an hour to find it. Ethanol will gum up carburetors if it is sitting over long periods of time but even then there is things you can do to prevent this. I burn ethanol in every motorcycle that I own which is several and don't have any problems.
72mph is pretty impressive for a 150cc engine. Awesome!
Yeah I thought so too, thanks Jerry!

This seems like a great way to skip the outrageous dealer fees for most bikes.
