History branches in two, creating a universe where we made the choice, and a second where we did not. He also said there are universes so similar to ours that you can spend lifetimes trying to find a distinction, and others so radically different, they defy comprehension. So yes, Manhunter's weakness is technically a phobia, however, this may not be true in every universe.

I do find it interesting that when they talk to Subzero, there are a lot of references to DC vs Mortal Kombat. I actually would not mind if they just straight up mix the two together. Like seeing an Injustice Comic with Subzero helping them out like he does in the arcade ladder.

Another clue is that the Atlantian that the ending shows him undercover as does appear in the first game, he's the historian that Earth Prime Aquaman talks to. With that in mind, if they choose to bring him back, he didn't die. If they don't, he did.

curious question: where does Aquaman lies in the injustice series? He doesn't take any sides on injustice 2 but he "follows" superman's philosophy to kill, and he fights for Atlantis. is he part of the regime or does he go his own way?
Superman just picked up Atlantis out of the ocean and dropped it in the middle of the desert, Aquaman was forced to comply with everything he said so Superman could put the city back where it belongs

The Injustice story is bullshit, Martian Manhunter can be really hurt by fire but never killed by it. If they understood the character, then they know that the way in which Superman killed him wouldn't actually kill him.

Ok Martian Manhunter HAS to be alive. It has been shown that in the main DC comics that Jonn can regenerate his whole body if a single particle of him still exist. There was a huge amount of blob left of him so he is surely alive
