It’s weird how quickly we lose touch with ‘the youth’ - that was me only ten years ago. But it means I also cannot understand how people date outside their age range. People who consistently date much younger people really creep me out because how can they possibly not seem like a child? And what on Earth do you have to connect about or talk about? (I’m looking at you, Leonardo DiCaprio 👀 and Jordan/Jason in this film.)
I fully agree. Even when I went back to university at 23, the 18 yr olds were so immature to me. I couldn’t possibly feel any attractive 🤮. At 40, anyone below 35 feels like a baby. It also creeps me tf out when ppl date out of their age range.

This reminds me of the time I went home with this guy and we were watching tv and the channel played two movies alternating all night. My perception of Jonathan Bennett is forever tainted by his more recent work as the host of cake wars where he displays what I would describe as a deranged and threatening level of cheerfulness at all times. When I look at him I can’t help but think of the rugrats themed episode where they put him in a baby pen thing and he’s like rattling the bars. My friend thought I was making this up when I described it to him so I tried to clip the footage of it but screwed up the audio somehow so it was all doubled and echoey creating the absolute most cursed video of all time.

I can't help but notice the similarities between this and a very weird bad fanfiction called "trapped in a island with josh hutcherson" in both cases the main character (who is tangentially doctor-y) and random celebrity she happens to have a crush on end up on an island after one/both are thrown overboard on a ship. hunky boy has a broken leg. theres another girl they find by sheer happenstance who ends up w/ celebrity boy etc etc
im left wonder though, if maybe the author was very poorly readapting this movie for that fanfiction...........or it could be a massive coincidence idk!

0:24 yes to everything but Ellen Ripley as a character was the ONE female character where I felt validated as a human being (as a woman). Probably because the character was originally written as a man and only later on made a woman. Writing women as real people just seems too hard sometimes, apparently.
Even the underwear didn't feel heavily sexualized as it often is, although I admit that's a lowbar.
