In my day they called those short shorts “hot pants”. My mom wore a coral colored silky pair. I recently made the Market Tote Bag” by lifeandyarn as a beach bag for my daughter. She’s using it right now on her vacation. I bet you could figure something out that’s similar. I’ve been thinking I need a cotton cardigan for spring also. I bought a lightweight synthetic cardigan that I can stuff in my purse. When I go to the grocery store the air conditioning is usually too cold. It was nice seeing you. for a knitting machine bag- take a look at a 4 panel bag construction, I recently made one of these and used the opportunity to try out new crochet stitches like houndstooth and interlocking-block stitches, but since you like stripes, you could make 4 panels each a different striped pattern and then just sew them together, and the 4 panel construction creates this really dynamic leaning panels look.

for a summer fibre - could I recommend a cotton tencel blend? I've been using the kremke soul wool morning salutation yarn and i cannot stress enough how gorgeous it is to work with!!! The only way i can describe it is it's buttery?? also tencel uses less water in its production so environmentally has a slightly smaller impac i am obsessed with it
