      The RCNetwork I have the axial yeti kit version with the 4300kv motor on order now. what are your recommendations on pinion size with all standard factory gearing in the buggy. Just for all around bashing. Thank you for your highly detailed videos. Love the "Over and out" at end of videos.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for staying tuned till the end! lol I would probably start with a 11/12t pinion to start. You'll have plenty of speed with the 4300kv. Make sure that drivetrain is free and watch the temps at first

And one the best battery premium price. Thank you again for your knowledge. I've been out of RC for a while and just learning all these new high tech items. God bless .

      @krisjato 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slottygw2wvw842 I sure hope so! My biggest concern is traction... With it being a 4-pole motor I know it's going to have more torque, hopefully it won't be too much of a problem getting it to hook up. I wish I could say I've already ran it but I haven't, being quadriplegic I can't do anything with it without help and the friend who's putting it together has been very busy and hasn't finished it yet. Hopefully soon! I hope to do some test runs in the parking lot with a GNSS performance analyzer and make some videos for my channel soon!

    I put one of these w/ the 550 3200kv in my Yeti kit. Run it on 3S w/ a 20t/48p pinion and it stays cool and it's quite a bit faster than the stock motor/esc combo the Yeti comes w/. Can't recommend these combos enough. For 180 bucks, they are a fantastic value.

    I'm having a problem with this same esc. It is connected to a 2150 kv Toro X8 Pro engine. When the car is stationary and I press the throttle all the way to the end quickly, the ESC beeps continuously and turns the red light on for a few seconds, then stops turning the red light (the car does not go). However, if you press the accelerator smoothly and continuously until the end, no problem is presented, and the car is moving normally. What can this problem be?

      Probably wouldn't mess it up, but watch those temps.....make sure you're on un-obstructed surfaces if you do (no grass)

    Hey there, im not new to rc cars, just getting back into it after yeeaars! but i am new to figuring out how to pick a proper electronics and power source.
    Im currently looking at this same hobbywing combo from amain but in the 3600kv version.
    The esc can push Cont./Peak Current of 140A/880A. (amain website info)
    The Motor is a 3600kv with a no-load Current of 4.1A (amain website info)
    I would like to use this combo in a Axial yeti with a 5000mah 11.1v 3s if i can. Problem is what sort of C rating should i be looking at? i see batteries ranging from 10c to 100+. from my understanding higher the C the faster it discharges amps? how do i know if ill be getting enough amps?
    i have a 5200mah 11.1v 10C li ion battery for airsoft (which is equivalent of 2600mAh 20C lipo in power but with crazy long life of a 5200mah), can i use that and still make power?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You'll want 50c or higher....and to be honest, it will be hard to find batteries lower than 50c now. 3600kv might be bit much for the Yeti - I ran a 3000kv Tekin Pro4HD in mine - the Hobbywing Xerun 3660 (sized) 3200kv might be better

    • @Hachi501st
      @Hachi501st 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheRCNetwork thank you, ill check it out the lower kv. The 3600kv is too fast for the yeti platform to withstand?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      isshyfux you’ll likely have unwanted heat on 3s - the yeti still has a transmission it uses, so all of that spinning at a higher RPM will create heat. You’ll want a torquier motor like the 3200

    • @Hachi501st
      @Hachi501st 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheRCNetwork ah ok, thank you. sorry what if i use a 2s? would it help keep the heat down? i actually found the same combo with the 3200kv so i may go for that.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the 4300kv, yes.....I ended up opting for the 3200kv for the Yeti. I want 3s for that race rig

    • @RoosterRC
      @RoosterRC 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I went with the same system but the 3600 kv motor. On 3s and with stock gearing the performance is really impressive. But I think I should gear it down to 12 or 14t pinion.

      The RCNetwork nice. I don't have a yeti, but I'd like one. I'm wrapping up the scx2, and a bomber cage is in the wings for a piece build. lol the exo is still on the shelf waiting for some love. ah crap, I have a serious axial problem!😂

      ps, I put a Holmes hobbies trail master pro bl 3300kv in my wraith. way more power than it needs but I love it. lol it's worked it's way through the stock gear and it's time for vp links and axles.

    The motor just seems really small for 1/8 scale. My stock 3s arrma motor is way bigger than this yet it is 1/10

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is not ideal for 1/8th scale - it's meant for heavier SCT's (like the Tekno or TLR SCTE 3.0) or U4RC trucks like the Losi. This motor is considered a 550 can or 36mmx60mm in length
