The Audi was a 2010 and it was a great car. I really liked it. However, Jag brought out the F-type in '14, so I got one of those. It was a coupe so the dog was still catered for. I now have a Jag XFR-S Sportbrake of which there were only 61 built, and only 34 of those RHD.
Great list…so many gems. I do think you can find a nice Infiniti q50 red sport that would be another solid choice. If I had to go current fav, prolly the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio (or GTAM variant).
When I started this video, I thought to myself, the number one spot can only go to the 204 Mercedes C63 generation. As the owner of a wagon C63, I totally agree!
@@salah458 you're right, your looking over £22k for a Facelift with good service history. Under £20k for a pre facelift or a Facelift with poor service history.
Why do you never put a diesel in a list like this. I've got a 2013 F30 335d which get to 60mph in under 5 seconds and have seen stage 1 mapped cars do it in under 4 seconds. Not bad for a car that will return over 50mpg on a run and mine cost me under 10k
I'm guessing: because an untuned 335d isn't a super saloon and this isn't a modded car list - you can get them to do the 0-60 times with engine mods but to really turn a 335d into a real super saloon you need to do the suspension, brakes and a few other bits...at which point you're probably pushing both the cost and reliability out of a window to be worth doing. I'm not saying they're bad cars, they just belong more in a sleeper list, especially one that mentions tuning. Side note - I feel like they're better than 50mpg on a run, considering I used to get nearly that from my 3.4L NA Porsche 😁
Favourite current super saloon, also the Alfa...so I'll say my close 2nd choice which is the latest Flying Spur! I can't get excited by the current Germans, although apparently some are pretty good, not just the M3 but others, e.g. the S8 is apparently surprisingly good to drive. Still, having driving a Giulia (and turned it down for a 1.6L Pug 🤣) I'd take that over any other current car of the type - if the Alfa dealer network wasn't shockingly poor I might have bought one already... From the cars in the video, it's actually a tough call between the Audi, Lexus and Merc for me. If reliability and running costs were equal, I'd probably pick the RS4 but I think those factors would swing my decision to the Lexus - the same thought process behind my IS220d and IS250 purchases, except in this case with a V8 😄 The Volvo and Bentley being available for this budget are both mad though, wouldn't expect something in this performance range but also as modern as the Volvo to be in this list.
What about bmw m5 f10? I think thats the one that should be on top of the list and its under 20k at the moment too. Never mind saying that is also quicker then all of the cars refered
This is why i unsubscribed , he doesn’t do his homework, Kia stinger ,370 bhp, 0 to 60 in 4.6 seconds and a 2020 models go for under 20,000 ,, he only really looks at bmw and Audi and merc, stop giving this guy money until he starts doing his homework
Even before the countdown began, it was always going to be the C63. Perfection.
I used to own the white Lexus IS-F in the video. I bought it in 2009 and kept it 2 years.
Why did you get rid of it so quickly?
@@nataliegrn17 I got a dog and needed a more suitable car, so bought an Audi S4 Avant.

You will get to know your local petrol station very well if you have a vxr8. Awesome selection of cars as always!
I guess you can get a wholesale price if you have a C63

Hey JB love all your vids
Could you do a video or series on value/ performance estates
Cheers
Yo people you must look at the b7 rs4 review it's probably one of the best car reviews I've seen....saving up my pennies to buy one.
100% U won't be disappointed love mine soooooooo much unreal sedan bro
you missed the E63 6.2l which is spectacular too. perhaps combined with the C63 together as they share the same engine
Nice one ❤

Why is insurance so damn expensive man
tbh the evo is one of the worst performance cars ever made
(need to keep the prices down)
XFR for me. Maybe try sneak an XFR-S
A list I've wanted to own or at least drive bar the masarati and lexus.
Hey JB you missed out on Lexus GSF
Would love an ISF but they’re too old unfortunately
C63 deserves to be up there, but where is the Jag XFR or XF RS, absolute beasts.
strong list if the evo only 9th
Gimme the VXR8 thug
The Stinger GTS 3.2 v6 really floats my Boat.
It on my dream team saloon car. (-_-)
The Audi S8…?
Wow the Passat looks so dull for a performance saloon.
A w204 c63 for less than 20000 ? Good luck finding one
If ferrari don't want the engine you don't want the lesser brand
