An original Savage made by Jeff Uren which this is a copy of was a fabulous car.
I had one it was quick.
This is a replica mk 2 Cortina Savage a rare and very desirable car, it should sell well.
Yes beautiful and the best colour.
What a great looking car!
I think you will find this vehicle requires an M.O.T. irrespective of age. If it has been drastically altered from original spec the regs require a vehicle to be M.O.T. tested. replacing a 1600ccc engine with a 3 litre engine is a drastic alteration.
No law or rule retrospectively applies.
@@MHLivestreams T am sure the MOT regulations are much older than the modification to the car
It might not be MOT exempt unless I’m missing something. GOV site says if number of cylinders is different to original spec then unlikely to be alternative original equipment therefore not exempt from MOT.
But a beautiful car, I’d love it.
Yup, it's going to draw a lot of cars back into the MOT system and a reason a lot are being moved on now.
I haven't read the rules for a while but if the vehicle has been drastically altered from original then yes requires M.O.T. A 3 lite engine is a drastic alteration so I agree with you.
🎼 There matmy be trouble ahead'
Would prefer it original with 1600 engine
Nice car but the retrospective law changes and the age meaning originality trumps the fun aspect for valuation purposes makes it a tricky purchase.
An original '80's hot Ford would be a better option in my opinion.
"Look" count of ten 😏
It’s a big risk messing with the original spec of any classic especially a Ford ! This one does not work ! The guy that buys this is potentially going to loose a lot of money on resale ! Buy it cheap , have fun and once the novelty wears of get shot of it !
Ford made a 3 litre savage MK16 2
No they didn't
Great car nicely done
Engine converted a long time ago
So keyboard worriors need not apply
Good luck to the owner shame you've got to let it Go
It's a genuine 1600gt. No. It's not.
My thoughts entirely, lovely car no question but no longer a 1600GT.
@@mrmoody3975 thing is 1600e cortinas easily outnumber 1600 GT...GT extremely rare...love the 1600e but something special about the GT with the raised convex 4 dial instrument binnacle.
WOW , whot a stunning Car ...
A few Mary Whitehouse comments here ! Anyone with a car of that age who doesn't get it checked over thoroughly on a regular basis is foolish. Not everyone has access to a pit or an hydraulic lift to notice weeping brake hoses, for example.
