I bought 3 graphics cards from China in the last few months. The first RX 580 had extremely noisy fans, (they were working absolutely fine though) so I ended up spending 18€ on a new set. Still a bit on the noisy side, but the seller was extremely nice and sent me a small refund, enough to cover pretty much the entirety of the new fans. The seller's name is MingZhou, but there's plenty of identical models to this one. I ordered a second RX 580 from Peladn, loved the construction and performance for the price so I ended up ordering from them a RX 6600M. Both cards are absolutely fine and working great. The RX 6600M is a hidden chinsese gem if you can catch it for less than 200€ with some promotions and/or coupons (I got mine for ~185€), it can compete with the RTX 3060 in most scenarios.
@Mint Tech not really, but not because of the cooling solution (the heatsink was actually pretty decent), but because they used a 6 pin connection instead of 8 pin for the extra power delivery; the gains IIRC were pretty abysmal. It did unvolt absolutely fine though, but not that much.
I have bought dozens of gpus from aliexpress to sell builds locally and so far most of the issues come from dead fans, when that happens I ask for refunds with the sellers and most of this fans are available between aliexpress (or I just buy local dead gpus with similar fans) if the seller neglects you can always pull off the good ol' dispute and that goes to aliexpress directly when the seller won't give you a response. Also MLLSE is kind of a hit or miss for me, since I bought some gpus but they never sent them to me, they always mention issues due to stock or logistics. I have rebuilt several graphiccards with other fans and even heatsinks. When changing heatsink it's important to see that it fits and the heatpipes works all over the heatsink. Sometimes thermal pad is better then compound.
@@mikesunboxing use adapter from full size pwm to mini pwm so you can plug it to the graphic card fan header. You can find the 2 way splitter version of this adapter.

They’re vg value by far and go for same price as used named brands such as gigabyte etc and being new and vg value and offering vg performance in newer Unreal Engine 5 titles etc ✊💪🥰👍. A great product for a budget builder imo 😇.
Depends on the country. In UK RX580 tend to go for second hand £100+ These from Aliexpress with tax and shipping looking at around £80 You cant compare a person in Australia to UK the same with US different markets plus import rules.

I actually bought this GPU- the MLLSE RX 580 8GB 2048SP. Been using it for a while now and I'm happy. Mine actually has an ASUS motherboard, so they have decided to use a better quality mobo. Perhaps this is why mine is so stable. My experience sofar has been akin to your ELSA Radeon RX580. I actually bought 2- one for my son, whose got a fledging YT gaming channel and needed a better GPU. He's not used his yet for the new videos, but he's been making a batch of videos that he will upload in about a month. The only issue we have is that the videos he records has a little blur- like an antialiasing and we can't get rid of it. Not a trainsmash, but a bit anoying. (Psst, if you really compare it- it's actually an RX 570. Exactly the same specs. It's just a modified vbios)
I just put one in a customer build today with a Ryzen 5 1600 and couldn't get it to work properly. Had driver issues and AMD Adrenaline wouldn't work. Swapped in a PowerColor rx570 and got it to work perfectly. I got mine off Newegg for $75 around Black Friday.
I bought a MLLSE 2060 Super couple months back, made a video, working decently however does run a little hot even with an undervolt , I then bought a Jieshuo 3060TI recently, need to make a video, however I am really impressed with the card so far.
I bought one of these to replace my really old R9 280 that died last year, so it'll be nice to have a graphics card again. I couldn't afford one that's not a knockoff like this one, so I'm glad that in spite of your issues, it still performs well, and I'm hopeful.
@@mikesunboxing I just installed it today. It arrived intact. Gameplay was jerky before with the R9 280 at medium settings in Cyberpunk 2077. With this graphics card, I put it at high settings and managed to beat a quest I was stuck at because of the choppy performance on my first attempt this time because it's so smooth. I'm running this on a Haswell i5 (I think 4590?) with 8GB of ram, and it's running so much better.
The packaging is fine and not far of how some retail units are packaged. They wont replace the fan. The wording is very clear in the listings they will expect you to return the card and will give you $10 to do so. The other thing no 2 year warranty the main image has mislead you and because it's China you have no consumer rights etc. Read the wording in listings this is whats important the warranty section. I expect Aliexpress will either refund you full amount or partial it takes time (Sometimes you get full without needing to return product)
I bought one as a back up gpu, it came with a minning bios but the seller sent me the gaming bios. So far it's worked fine. I got mine from the same store. It came in the exact same packaging. Used it for a couple of weeks and it worked great. Then I ordered a rx6600m and so far it's working a treat.
@Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to yes so far I've had no complaints. When I emailed them about the bios they sent me the new one within an hour buy email. Seems you got unlucky with the transit damage, hopefully they can sort it out. So far touch wood I've been lucky with ali express but I can see why people don't take the chance.

Hi Mike. The fans on that card are part of the plastic shroud, so buying just a fan won't cut it. How about this? Buy a complete new fan shroud replacement which already includes 2 brand new removable fans and the PWM cable withou the need for an adapter? I know it won't be 100% compatible with the specific mounting of your card, but it should be a lot easier to adapt. I found a good replacement on AliExpress but I can't share the link. How could I send it to you?
I had something similar happen to me a while back with a "cheap" card I picked up for a low-end surfing system. It was so much of a pain to replace the whole card due to something as cheap as a faulty fan, I just ended up jury rigging a case fan over the heatsink and just made do. Although it probably cools better than the cheap factory fan anyway, it's just plain annoying.
As you know Ive had a load of stuff from AliExpress and apart from one time Ive not had any issues. The issue I did have was, like you, the kit turned up broken and after sending then photos of what had broken and the state of the packaging upon arrival they still insisted on me sending the kit back. Told them no as it would cost more in postage than the actual item cost. They wouldnt budge so I stated that I would never use their site again and asked them to view my purchase history to look at how many orders I had made in the last 2 years. They then offered me 50% refund and not require me to sent it back. I still refused and they offered me 80% back.....so I relented and accepted it. Ive ordered from them since and not had any issues, hope you get your dispute resolved soon mate.
thanks bob it is a pain and due to the vast distance these things travel the occasional hiccup is to be expected but it is how they deal with the hiccups is the real deal breaker
Lot of people having issues with rx 580 2048sp but usually Mllse brand they say it's better than other aliexpress cheaper Brands they have bad quality build but mllse usually better quality and good
I bought one about 2 months ago, after seeing Bryan from Tech Yes City purchased one of these and had no issues ... from MLLSE Radeon RX580 Gaming card - aliexpress , kept on Crashing within 2 to 5 minutes - temps got to about 70°c - asked ali for a refund. seller wanting to send me a Gaming bios to make it work properly . Don't have the know how to put a gaming bios on it - Anyway bought it for 85 euros advertised as "as a Gaming Card" - { So be aware they ship "some" with a mining bios on this card ! } AlieXpress intervened... It cost me 20 euros to send it back couldn't be bothered anymore. Hope I get some of my money Back ! really not worth the hassle unless your really clued up.
I ended up buying a similar card the rx 5500 xt from a different brand 51risk as gpu prices are not too great from where I'm from and so far its working altough the temps are not too good I wonder how long this card is going to last but still, kinda sad seeing how your card got a fan destroyed over shipping
Oh dear that doesn't look like it happened in Shipping ? maybe some one scared to own the error at the factory the padding used is what i recieve Expensive DVR s and things like that never a problem I know its cold so your right in a way but its unacceptable to recieve a GPU in this condition never mind you paying a 10 a for a Fan i would want a refund and to keep the card for their trouble
LOL bro I was going to order that card and I ordered a Mingzhou instead, I regret so much, the Mingzhou one have no heatpipe, have lower frequencies, bad temperature, and lower FPS... I prefere get that card and fix it with the other cards coolers I have... It's not a scam, you were just unlucky, it's a great card, shipping can sometimes broke some parts of graphics cards no matter how seller protected the product, this is one of the best RX 580 2048sp...
hey! I’m late to the party, but I got a used PC build which has this card in it. The PC crashes whenever I boot up anything more demanding than chrome. Do you know which BIOS is the most compatible to flash on? Databases don’t exactly have “MLLSE” stores haha

My experience is anything with a complicated PCB is a risk buying, you can get a working product but there is no warranty AFAIK. SAFE to buy in most cases if not a scam: CPU, RAM, CPU cooler & storage drives (quality can still suck and shit could still happen but is the safest things) not safe but can work is motherboards and GPUs etc, motherboards is a risk since the power delivery could have a catastropic failure and kill the rest or cause a fire, GPUs if having a failure should not really kill anything else? Finally a DO NOT BUY is power supply!
I had a fan stop working on a mllse rx 580. ZERO help from mllse or aliexpress. I took it apart and the pcb says "Panda R582 v13" and after google searching I guess mine came out of a Pandaminer mining rig. Everything about the card specs 2048sp points to a RX 570 8G. I think they flash the Bios to make it say RX 580 2048sp and sell it as an rx 580. The card worked pretty well until the fan thing.
Here in Sweden some companies ships monitors etc in only original cases used for shops. When they sending other stuff they have stopped using embalage so the stuff inside bangs around. Maybe it's because of EU policy, but I can't see any winning in broken hardware.
I ordered a RX 550 4 GB from MLLSE from New Egg and it did work well however the back plate was bent inward about a quarter inch I was able to fix it but I do question MLLSE’s Quality Control that whoever shipped it did not notice the back plate was bent and then the next day the 580 Arrived I bought from them and same thing bent back plate but it was worse. Still fixed it but I was worried about breaking the board. The GPU did work fine tho.
@@johnnytaylor1243 Yea still works perfectly fine after almost a year i actually never game on it but I would recommend it. The RX 580 also made by MLLSE I got works perfectly fine and that has been gamed on allot over about a year. So Surprisingly I have not had any problems with either in a years worth of use.
Aliexpress is a nightmare. I tried to get a partiel refund for a motherboard. I wanted $15. They wanted me to return the Motherboard to get the refund if $15 but not to keep the Motherboard worth $80.

Hi Mike. Did you run gpu-z on this? It seems like it performs decent enough. eBay not sell shrouds for this sort of card. You could also try a decent aftermarket paste. I use noctua NTH2. Worth a follow up if you have time.
These rx 580 8gb 2048sp cards are the best deal you can get here for like $80 im using one right now paired with old i7 4770k. You should check the processor because the one I got I was told by the seller it could have random rx 470 470d 570 580 480 chipset or something like that. I think they used recycled chipset and memory on a new pcb.

In the U.S, new rx 580's are $80-100 at Newegg. The little bit extra is worth it If there is a problem like this.

You can remove the fan bracket and put 2 slim 92 fans (like the id-cooling one) and use cable ties to mount it directly on the heatsink.

Read the listings it never mentions they are brand new and the give away is it's a mining version card this is why they are cheap.

amazon sells replacement fans. Had a 570 fan exsploded last year and picked up a replacement been running no problems since
I don’t think they do for these models yet but you are right Amazon is usually a great place for gpu spares

I know its cold so your right in a way but its unacceptable to recieve a GPU in this condition never mind you paying a 10 a for a Fan i would want a refund and to keep the card for their trouble
I'd just deshroud and put a decent 120/140mm fan on the heatsink
that is a good point and i have done so in the past but how to accurately control the fan speed is the problem
LOL bro I was going to order that card and I ordered a Mingzhou instead, I regret so much, the Mingzhou one have no heatpipe, have lower frequencies, bad temperature, and lower FPS... I prefere get that card and fix it with the other cards coolers I have...
It's not a scam, you were just unlucky, it's a great card, shipping can sometimes broke some parts of graphics cards no matter how seller protected the product, this is one of the best RX 580 2048sp...

hey! I’m late to the party, but I got a used PC build which has this card in it. The PC crashes whenever I boot up anything more demanding than chrome. Do you know which BIOS is the most compatible to flash on? Databases don’t exactly have “MLLSE” stores haha

What software was you using on the right hand of the screen to get the fps, temp, power etc ?
was it afterburner, i think it was or the AMD monitoring software

My experience is anything with a complicated PCB is a risk buying, you can get a working product but there is no warranty AFAIK. SAFE to buy in most cases if not a scam: CPU, RAM, CPU cooler & storage drives (quality can still suck and shit could still happen but is the safest things) not safe but can work is motherboards and GPUs etc, motherboards is a risk since the power delivery could have a catastropic failure and kill the rest or cause a fire, GPUs if having a failure should not really kill anything else? Finally a DO NOT BUY is power supply!

i can give approx sizes but they seem to send out random designs so you might not get one exactly the same

I had a fan stop working on a mllse rx 580. ZERO help from mllse or aliexpress. I took it apart and the pcb says "Panda R582 v13" and after google searching I guess mine came out of a Pandaminer mining rig. Everything about the card specs 2048sp points to a RX 570 8G. I think they flash the Bios to make it say RX 580 2048sp and sell it as an rx 580.
The card worked pretty well until the fan thing.

Here in Sweden some companies ships monitors etc in only original cases used for shops. When they sending other stuff they have stopped using embalage so the stuff inside bangs around. Maybe it's because of EU policy, but I can't see any winning in broken hardware.

I ordered a RX 550 4 GB from MLLSE from New Egg and it did work well however the back plate was bent inward about a quarter inch I was able to fix it but I do question MLLSE’s Quality Control that whoever shipped it did not notice the back plate was bent and then the next day the 580 Arrived I bought from them and same thing bent back plate but it was worse. Still fixed it but I was worried about breaking the board. The GPU did work fine tho.

@@johnnytaylor1243 Yea still works perfectly fine after almost a year i actually never game on it but I would recommend it. The RX 580 also made by MLLSE I got works perfectly fine and that has been gamed on allot over about a year. So Surprisingly I have not had any problems with either in a years worth of use.
Aliexpress is a nightmare. I tried to get a partiel refund for a motherboard. I wanted $15. They wanted me to return the Motherboard to get the refund if $15 but not to keep the Motherboard worth $80.

is mllse and peladn the same i put a mllse bios on my peladn that looks just like yours. i had to it had a mining bios on it?
most brands are using the same base chip and ram so the bioses are generally swappable

Hi Mike. Did you run gpu-z on this? It seems like it performs decent enough. eBay not sell shrouds for this sort of card. You could also try a decent aftermarket paste. I use noctua NTH2. Worth a follow up if you have time.

No it is the stock sp2048 bios
According to Gamers Nexus these are actually RX 570s
they are closer in spec to the 570 than the 580 but are rx580 chips with parts fused off
These rx 580 8gb 2048sp cards are the best deal you can get here for like $80 im using one right now paired with old i7 4770k. You should check the processor because the one I got I was told by the seller it could have random rx 470 470d 570 580 480 chipset or something like that. I think they used recycled chipset and memory on a new pcb.

But im bit concern about its genuineness.. because it has no brand name, its just local company who import from Singapore or china , Same Rx 580, not sure yet its same model id u said With SP... its 256 bit, 8 gb ,AMD Rx 580 , 1284 , 7000 Mhz
as long as the chip is working and what you paid for the rest is not worth worrying about, hope it all works out for you
