Can you please talk about african traditions, ancestry beliefs still relevant in and amongst African SDAs. Why are we still sending our children to the "bush" for him to become a man.? Let's have a real talk about these practices amongst us as African SDAs
Thanks, Justin for your incisive suggestions. In the next episode, we will cover Syncretism (mixing Bible teachings with cultural beliefs, light and darkness. In episode 3, we will focus on ukutwasa (traditional Initiation vs Biblical Spiritualism). In Episode 4, we will cover African Spirituality (Its context and whether it compromises Christian Faith). In episode 8 we will ask the question Is Christ a Foreign God in Africa Contexts. Subscribe and do not miss these riveting dialogues with Dr Papu.
Thanks for the insight gentlemen. Just a thought though I think that the rise of secularism can be largely attributed to bad or corrupted religion. The book the great controversy highlights this in the chapter on The Bible and The French revolution. Religions (All of them) failure to give the true picture of God leads to people rebelling against God.
