If I’m reading the IPA (international phonetic alphabet) on Wikipedia correctly, the pronunciation of sarsaparilla that you and I have ever heard is listed as an “also” for the US (as opposed to the UK pronounciation which looks like it includes the r). If I am wrong, please do not come at me linguists, it’s been 23 years since I took vocal diction and learned IPA and 20 years since I last had to actually use it, lol.

I snort laughed with tears running down my face at "quackers, honkers, tweeters, meepers, and squakers." scene, especially the stuffed animal birds that make noises. I can confirm that penguins do indeed squawk. Thanks, Erinn's Husband.

Thank you for spending my Sunday with me, it has been so wonderful binge watching your videos #1 to #6.
I have loved seeing your progress on the protects and look forward to watching further progress until seeing them finished.
You have such a lovely relationship, i only wish my sister had a crafty bone in her body to have stitching sessions together, unfortunately she didn't get the craft skill and didn't even like handmade things..... I have asked if she is adopted a few times (joking of course).
It's 2.15am here and i have to be up for work in just under 5 hours so i need to head to bed. I will finish watching your #7 video and your flosstube extra SWM tonight when i get home from work.
Take care and happy stitching 🌷🌷 from Judy in New Zealand FT An Aussie in a Kiwi world

❤❤❤ I like making a plan but then on February, plans are gone…😅 so I’ve noticed if I feel like working on a project, I’ll work on it until I have a section completed.😊 I like how your projects are in the qsnap with grime guards. I hate page breaks 😮‍💨😮‍💨 I have everflowering garden and I feel like we are in the same section, we should make a hashtag because I have not worked on it 🤫

I have to reteach myself every time and I still can’t wrap my head around the concept 🤷🏼‍♀️. Hope you enjoyed yourself at StitchCon. AuryTM is my new-to-me local LNS! Okay, scratch that - the designer is also the owner of the store. It's been around for awhile, but my friend and I only recently discovered it and roadtripped (all 45 minutes) there on Saturday. So happy.

❤️❤️❤️ I only have 4 wips so I typically stick with a project for days at a time. I miss the others but get obsessed with the one I’m working on. I find I get big chunks of projects done and they all stay relatively equal in terms of amount accomplished. It’s not something I do on purpose, it’s subconscious. Weird. Thank you for another amazing video!

New subscriber here! I enjoy your videos! Ati first, you did throw me for a loop when you stated the pronouns you go by - please allow me to explain! I am 57, this must be a 'new' politically correct saying? I've been through so MANY in my lifetime, I thought, Oh no! Not another one to have to add? Awwww man! Lol! I guess we'll see as time goes on!
I LOVE the Quaker designs you two are both stitching! The Owl Forest Embroidery patterns are exceptional! There were some from other companies I've not yet heard of, so this video will be an excellent resource for me to come back to to get the links for the patterns I loved! I can't wait to see more of what they carry as well!
Mother I lost mine in 2010 to pancreatic cancer. It took her within 11 months, fast and furious, and out of the blue, as it often is. I loved that Sampler/dedication piece! I have to look into it! Bummer part is I gave "all" my scrapbooks to my daughter who lives over an hour away from me, there were so many she'd never find my mother's dedicated book easily, so thankfully my father is still alive and I can ask him her birth year! Phew!
Looking forward to the next video! Thank you for making them! Very enjoyable! Also love the SAL dedicated Instagram page! I'll follow that for sure!
    Happy stitching!

You’re my new favorite flosstube channel! Thanks for all the laughs! I look forward to every video visit.
I have “only” (because I know comparatively speaking it’s a low number) about a dozen WIPs going but I pretty much stick with working on one WIP in the evening when I stitch as opposed to switching up. If I actually get an entire day to stitch, I will usually stitch something in the morning and then switch it in the evening hours. Because yes, if I like it and I’m in the flow, why would I put it down?😊

You two are so funny! The memorial pieces you're doing for your mother are really great. I did a kit from RTO of a big vase of flowers with a girl sitting next to it (it looks better than it sounds) for my mom's memorial piece (though I left out most of the backstitching...) because she really loved her garden. Actually, all of your projects are great - I'm looking forward to seeing the results from your secret SAL!

Amity, I do often work on two projects in an evening. I'll put in 25 stitches in one piece (to keep it moving forward) and then will spend the rest of the time on another. On my days off, I often work on 3-4 projects throughout the day, depending on my mood.

Oh my I couldn’t change to different stuff every night, I do what I want when I want except been working since feb on 1full coverage as want it done. However usually I do same thing till I want to change a week or so. But I do think you would get more done if worked on one for the evening but it’s however you enjoy it most. It is my mother and father’s anniversary on May 15th. Happy belated mother’s day❤

Love all your projects! So many good birds, you’re gonna be quite the enablers with the patterns I’m gonna need to stitch as well. Lately I’ve been working on different pieces on my lunch stitching breaks (I work from home), I’ve been switching it up for various fb group challenges & then evening stitching has been one full coverage focus piece that I’m super close to finishing. Normally I’m in the SWYWWYW camp - stitch what you want when you want! I forget who started that acronym.

Thanks for another great video. I looked up the pronunciation of sarsaparilla and in the US it is pronounced as you pronounce it so "sasprilla". In Britain they actually pronounce it as "sarsaparilla". By the way you two or Erin and her husband should definitely play the "Untitled Goose Game", it is supremely hilarious and you can make the goose honk anytime you want. My husband and I had the best time playing it together.

Fabulous video as always, I just have to watch your videos asap when they drop! The SAL catalogue is a fabulous idea so I followed that straight away. I adore that Pheasant tapestry cross stitch design from your mother's collection, I love to stitch birds and have lots of birds feature in my handmade cards too but pheasants are one of my favourite birds, possibly second to owls. OMG! Y'all really just need to video yourselves when you are hanging together - who cares if there is any stitching stuff. You two are hilarious!! Have y'all heard a peacock cry? Scared the crap out of me the first time I heard one. I was sitting outside in the dark and had no freaking idea what was making that noise. Creepy sound.

Hello! I spent time over the last week or so watching all your videos so far, and I'm so glad I decided to check out your channel. I have laughed so much and really enjoyed seeing what you are working on. I am newer to stitching , probably only really into it for about a year and I'm loving it! I do have a question about the stand you are using... I have been looking for something I can use while sitting on the couch (likely in a recliner), is this a good option for a lap stand? I can't really picture it in a lap, seems like it works best on a more flat surface. Thanks for all the stitchy goodnees... I am looking forward to your next video!

Always fun! I started a SAL ahead of Laura for In Praise of Pollinators where stitchers can stitch their own pace…I contacted Laura and we agreed that two on the same project works when the approach is so different. I actually am doing monogamous stitching each day and typically had been doing four projects a day. Time is short this fortnight so I think there willl be fewer projects to show on my next flosstube but the progress will be noticeable on each. Umm…with bird sounds what about the hooters? I will finish my Zig this week. SO if using my flosstube name KR if using my actual name.

My mother was very crafty and could do anything and did them all well! I can only hope to be a little bit like her. Love your videos. Don’t forget hummer’s and quail in the birds !

I love this stand also. My hands have trouble tightening and untightening knobs so I use a small cheap black and red Goxawee jar opener. The small end fits perfectly on the knob.
Also I got rid of the long screw on the stand. It gets in the way when I flip it around.

Any stitches can be done on Aida!!! I’m an Aida stitcher. I cannot see the holes on evenweaves due to vision issues. I’m a self-taught stitcher and have never had an issue with specialty stitches on Aida…. Love love LOVE your WIPs and starts…

I have the same experience with dyeing lugana. The holes close up and I'm pretty sure it shrinks after dyeing. Lugana is usually the easiest to stitch on for me, but the ones I've dyed myself I dislike stitching on.

Thank you for making me laugh today. 😊 I have never seen nor heard a puffin & didn't expect to do so on a flosstube.
I am putting the mother sampler on my 'to do' list.

Love all of the starts, wips and sals! Great video as always. I lost my mother about 20 years ago although it seems like yesterday. Keep up the good work and happy stitching!

I find that I just stitch on what calls to me. No schedule. Sometimes I work on more than one thing a night, sometimes I love something so much I stitch on it exclusively until it’s finished. I’m a very mood dependent stitcher. Some days I want something complex, sometimes I just need something super mindless. My only goal is to stitch at least a little bit every day. That way even if it’s only one stitch I’m a winner 😂

My mother loved doing crafts like your dear mother. She can't do anything these days because of eye disease, which has left her legally blind. So sad. Miss doing crafty stuff with my mother.

I am stitching something for my mother now and it is so emotional. I also am doing one for my dad. I find being 47 and reflecting backwards so hard but yet so awesome. Memories are such a beautiful but yet painful thing I love you two and enjoy your stitching. I live in Mn and everyone could see the stupid northern lights and I went out for three hours and nothing

Such a fun video! I've always wanted to try an Owl Forest Embroidery kit. Maybe next year! As far as stitching goes in the evenings I tend to just stitch on one project that way I don't have to worry about putting one always and getting another one out and what not.

I started a new stitch for my mother on Mother's Day called Family Circle. I'll be giving it to her for her birthday if I finish it in time.

Most of the charts you stitch are not anything I would choose to stitch but I absolutly love watching your Floss Tubes! You both bring such pure joy and love to your videos that I would watch them even if you were the worst stitchers on the planet..

Ok I think I have a bird that would trip you up with the categories, Peakcocks sound like loud cats, Crows also can make some fun sounds when you have to feed them.
I stitch one project at a time and the main reason why is that I know I would start and never finish otherwise, this also keeps me in check for thinking about what I want to create
I don't know how my mother would feel if I won a giveaway for that pattern when she isn't dead yet
