Hi TGV. I wanted to thank you for the entertainment. I have been following your channel for a while now. I plumped for a Citizen NY0040 (blue dial) after watching your videos on it over and over. It was my first ‘beater’ watch but has become my everyday favourite. I also bought NATO straps after watching your videos in which you have unwavering passion for them. Keep up the great work. Jolly good show, my man! =]

TGV you and Hugo need your own sitcom lol. Love the back and forth between you too. An Omega is on my wish list. For now I've got my trusty Casio Duro as my diver.
TGV, thank you for being a little relief in these strange times. I have finally taken the plunge and purchased my first Omega Seamaster. Its a vintage Seamaster professional 300 and I am thrilled! Thank you for the inspiration and on point guidance. Stay well.
You are so welcome my friend, it makes me happy to know I can bring some kind of relief in this crazy time. Congrats on the Seamster, nothing beat that feeling, enjoy it. Thank you, Best regards, TGV
Thanks to you, I've decided to acquire a ny0040-09ee and I am very happy with my choice! Amazing watch for the money and it was you who enlightened me with joy. Thanks to all your videos and precise information!
The Marathon diver with the knurled crown is outstanding. This has been one of your best videos from the opening with Mr. Mountbatten all the way to the end. Kudos!
Yes, these are fantastic great watches. I am proud that I have collected, as far as I know, a complete set of the various NY004x. These include versions such as the Kamen Rider, Beauty & Youth and Marina Militaire. And I also have the new Fugu editions from 2018 and 2019.
In 2012 NFW watches designed and manufactured a 500 meter dive watch by working closely with the 7th Special Forces Group, particularly after the unit was moved near the southern coast when they occupied their new compound in the vicinity of Eglin AFB in 2011. What was born from that collaboration is the Shumate Dive watch. The watch is named after Sergeant Major Walt Shumate - the first sergeant major of the famed Delta Force - and considered the founder of the Army Combat Diver Course. The watch is no longer available as they sold very quickly among the Special Forces operators. The founder of NFW watches recently mentioned on social media that he might do a limited quantity release of the Shumate diver watch later this year. I am lucky to own two of these watches. They are amazing.

Absolute top video TGV - I always find myself coming back to this episode of the Urban Gentry as it's such a great, informative watch!......no pun intended 😁👍 big love from Perth, Western Australia mate!
What a fantastic smorgasbord of history! Especially for me...my first really good automatic watch was a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf I bought as a senior in high school. My choice at the time was between it and the Doxa; as I recall the Doxa was around $50.00 more, but as a kid my income was limited. Now, many years later I'm sporting a Sinn EZM 3F and loving it. As a side note, back in the 70s I trained with GSG9. You certainly covered all the bases in this video! Extremely well done, Sir. I swear, watch collecting is an addiction I'll never overcome.
Great video! The Vostok Amphibia was made to specification for the USSR Navy and utilized a case design, which shared many of the same qualities as the super compressor (the acrylic crystal and the case back would expand under pressure to increase the water ressistance). Apparently the watches also went to space during the 1970s. The Citizen ana-digi diver JP2000-08E has alledgedly been utilized by members the Danish special forces combat divers, or the "Frog Men". It has been nicknamed the Pingo after the Danish Crown Prince, who supposedly wore this reference during his time in service. And although not being issued, the modern Seiko Turtles SRP77X have a distinct Vietnam-era, PX store vibe to it, harkening back to its ancestor, the 6105. Thanks again for your excellent content and stay safe! :)
I love how much history and breadth I get from your "watch list" videos! I know hundreds of TH-camrs will point to the popular watch currently offering the best "value for money," but you highlight such a broad range, even in a category that seems well-covered. Keep it up!! My obvious choice with its own combat history is the Seiko Turtle. For something building up its credentials in the present day, I like the Christopher Ward C65 Dartmouth - old Royal Navy Seamaster 300 vibes with their own twist in Black+Fauxtina or Blue+no-tina. (They also got the proper license from the Ministry of Defence, and a COSC movement!)
As ever, impeccably researched. Thank you. Perfect timing as I'm looking to expand my diver and field watch collections - some great food for thought there. As a Brit, CWC is on the radar as well although their divers feel a little over priced.
Absolute genius intro, a chuckle and a half was had. Great reviews on compressors and divers etc. a great sector of watch styles. Thank you for a great diversion.
So glad you put the NY0040 on the list! I have the one with the blue sunburst dial and it's phenomenal. It's also super cool that it's been tested by the military to 500 meters despite being rated for 200.
Most ppl never heard of the $150 JDM only Hyakuichi 101 hyaku1-003-WH, it's an Aqua Terra 231.10.44.52.04.001 homage powered by a Miyota JS26 GMT with an open reset 60 minute chronograph. It looks fantastic and it's one of my favorite watches, couldn't recommend it enough.

Great to see Hugo!!! Yay! I reckon you've got the Yema on your wrist, judging by it's unique bracelet. The No Time To Die Omega is actually a Grail for me. There is something aesthetically about it (especially on the Nato) that spells perfection, including the Faux Patina. I love the TONE of the colour of the Patina. It's way out of my price range at the moment so I would love to get a decent homage. But to be called a homage it must have the patina, the tropical brown dial and fully lumed bezel. Haven't seen one yet, but hopefully something will come out soon...
Great content TGV! All your recommendations are amazing watches. I would have added the CWC Royal Navy diver to make it a top ten list. Looking forward to the next one (and the Omega review of course). Regards, Koen

Great video. Love the Hugo bit at the beginning. I love military watches. I was surprised no Hamilton watches, but the video was Military divers so I understand since it was Military divers.
So I think you gave a thumbs up to the Invicta Reserve Pro Diver no 22855. It is Automatic 300m 26 jewel sapphire glasses with a magnifier and a Swiss movement. Dear TGV, what an amazing video. I really enjoy your very creative intros. My dad is in the German army and he told me about the Sinn and the "Kampfschwimmer". Your pronunciation of the word "Kampfschwimmer" was splendid. Where did you learn to pronounce German that well? Best regards from Germany.

Great video, but the mention of Pim's at the beginning brought back memories. Had my first Pim's back in the late 90's at the Riverside across from Hampton Court. Sat outside, watched the watercraft on the Thames, and enjoyed our Pim's Cup. Usually have several during the course of the summer.
Another great video - very interesting, informative and enlightening; I think Tudor has just appeared on my radar. Also, fantastic to see Hugo reprising his role as the “ultimate Lounge Lizard” ;-)

The longines Heritage compressor is a great alternative to the JLC for everyone lustig after a compressor but not able to afford the JLC.
Thank you for the Gread Video as always and I really love the Intros with hugo his role in your channel has evolved in a great direction.
T, Absolutely bang on old boy. What a superb video. Congratulations my friend. Fine effort. Best as always. Matthew
Surprised there was no CWC in there guvnor. Cracking viewing as ever, stay safe👍
I really wanted to feature them, but I can only talk about watches I have had real world experience with.
Hopefully one day.
Thank you David,
Best regards,
TGV
I love these videos and appreciate the research that must go into them. Thank you!
TGV, great video. Thanks. The company that took over from Eterna in supplying the Israeli military was Adi. I have one of their Navy Driver's. I absolutely adore it. Well worth a review for a future more affordable military diver video!!!!
Splendid video! Loving the French military watch content! Gives me a good idea of what to buy my dad as a present! 👌
LOVE this intro, and video! Just bought the NTTD and while I do love it, it definitely comes with 'Bond tax'.
Hahah we all know what that intro song means ! Fantastic video TGV !!!
Great video TGV! However, I think your definition of "affordable" and mine are very different 😜.
i lol'd so hard when Hugo was chugging. man dont stop bringing him around
You’re wearing the Yema
Great video as always!!
Great review as ever - though as a Brit and veteran i still love my CWC SBS and put of my collection is the only i actually take diving - its bullet proof!
Great video and love the music introduction before each watch
whilst the world is almost stopped, TGV's amazing and so well made entertainement is still ticking offering us a little while for dreamming...thank you to the "little prince" of watches
I love this T-Rex.😂
What a bad boy this Hugo. 😁
Another great video - very interesting, informative and enlightening; I think Tudor has just appeared on my radar. Also, fantastic to see Hugo reprising his role as the “ultimate Lounge Lizard” ;-)
Every time I hear that theme music I know I’m in store for a treat! Thanks for the humor along with a great list of alternative watches! And thanks for keeping me entertained while I’m quarantined and stuck in my house for Days and days and days and days and days and days...By the way, do you have any of those brownies left?!😂
