I’m really surprised that you consider this yarn to be similar in softness with Sisu! As someone who has used KFO’s Merino, Sandnes Sunday and Sisu, I would say that Merino and Sunday are identical, and Sisu is a bit rougher. The KFO Merino that I used was the color Artichoke Purple so it could be the dye is making the yarn feel rougher

You make a great point, different colors have the potential to feel different!

I am using the same colour in KFO merino and finding it good and it compares well with our NZ merino

I truly don't understand the hype about this yarn. I got the merino and mohair and honestly, there are a lot of other choices that I prefer. It's fine, but just not compelling for me. I almost feel like there's some pressure to love this. Thank you for the honest review.

Thank you Jessica, we try to be as unbiased as possible. We would love to hear what other yarns you prefer more? :)

@@UntwistedThreads I’m still experimenting with different yarns and following you closely!. High desert from KnitPicks is a nice one with an ethical backstory, but may not be accessible worldwide. Valley Yarns is available in the US and the UK and makes a nice super wash - I haven’t tried the non-superwash. I think you did a review on schachenmeyer, which I like. DROPS makes pretty good merinos in Daisy (you reviewed so I bought!) and extra fine merino. There are some more expensive ones that I probably won’t buy much of since budget is a consideration for me, but Manos Del Uraguay maxima is quite nice.
