Well Burnie did ask Chris what their weaknesses were because they do share a birthday. And the weakness is memory. So, him not remembering and Burnie playing the AI that represents memory could be a double layered meta joke.
Also the AI who represents memory in that series lost all of his memories so triple meta

I met someone worse. There was a guy that was a regular at one of my old jobs, and he'd usually bring his kids along with him. One day he asked if I had a car, and when I said yes, he asked if I wanted to do errands for him across state lines, which I declined, since I had very little money and he was a creepy dude. Turns out, he ended up murdering a jewelry store clerk in New York and stealing everything he had, then he fled the country to Europe with his unsuspecting family. After what he did became known, he was caught and sent back here to stand trail.
