Oh definitely not man, it was all pre-planned. I mean, if sure if it felt that way but that's what the fans think. Believe it or not, Lyle already made an appearance way earlier in season 1. The show already hinted it in season 1 episode 9's prologue. They showed Neil visiting his family's grave, only to find a bouquet of flowers left there whom he thought would be from "him", then the shot zoomed out and showed Lyle standing behind a tree.
I love Double 0 to pieces but the whole Twin Lyle/Neil Dylandy thing was so dumb, I can't forgive them for that lol
