I just realized, metal build exia is the only figure i could find while googling that actually has an accurate head sculpt to the anime/lineart??? like its crazy, i spent an entire 20 minutes just looking back and forth at anime/wiki images with the metal build exia head, no cap, im saving up to get that in the near future
Just built this inner frame with the Astrea Type F, it’s absolutely amazing. Things I had to modify were tightening the joints where the waist and the legs meet, I felt that was too loose, also had to really push the shoulders and arms through for a tighter fit. The armor part that covers the ankle/foot kept coming off so I had to tighten that part with super glue/nail polish. Same goes for the neck ball joint. Other than that, I love the extra weight it adds to the kit
I'm so glad to see the exia metal frame was as good as I was hoping! I've been waiting for one since the barbatos metal frame. I do wish you showed off some of the improved details and joints (top of leg, new ankles, etc.)
This is a nice upgrade set, but I still think it would be better if Bandai gave us an MG 2.0 of the GN-001 Gundam Exia along with the expected 'Expansion Unit' for the variants (Repair 1 ~ 4, Avalanche), a Roll Out color version, and a Trans Am version. Then of course there's the GNY-001 Gundam Astraea and the GNY-001F/F2 Gundam Astraea Type F/F2.
I did this with my Dynames and also ordered a Repair 3 conversion kit. As for someone who cant afford Metalbuilds and just a part time working student. It was hella worth the build
I recently built an MG exia. Expecting to get the Tiechuang metal parts soon as well thanks to your video. I noticd that the cockpit hatch isn't closing properly on the re-issued version. is this the same in your case?
Super late, but can it work with the Exia Avalanche Expansion? I already have this in my inventory for my Astraea Type F, and I'm contemplating to get the Avalanche Expansion if they can.
Where can I pick up this kit and how much is it? I have every version of this mg including the ecopla now I just ordered. I'd like to try this out on one. 😊
Dang, did not include parts for Ecopla Exia. Bought it hoping to make it solid, but guess that's not in my future unless I do some painting. And really, why get the ecopla if you're just going to paint it? Guess I just need to add an MG Exia to my shopping list.
You'll have to double check that the frame from the Qant and Raiser are the same as the Exia, it's been a while since I've built the Qant so I don't remember. And this Exia frame is still compatible with all action bases
I bought the upgrade kit as well as a new MG Exia since my old MG Exia Ignition Mode is permanently converted into the Repair form. Anyway, the upgrade kit is definitely a must have. While it doesn't fix EVERYTHING that is problematic with MG Exia, it fixes MOST of the issues. That alone worth the purchase. It's unfortunate that it doesn't fix the issue with the GN Sword and Shield connection to the forearm. If anything, it made it worst (nothing a few small strip of carbon tape can't fix). Highly recommended for anyone planning on getting MG Exia. I still hope for the MG 2.0 of Exia, but I suppose this will do for now.
I wonder if you'd know if this kit works with the daban avalanche exia? That kit has been sitting in my closet for the longest time and these metal frames started popping out getting me hopeful for a potential "metal build" of that kit lol
@@MrSyngamer You're welcome. I know how disappointing that is, but maybe another company will put out a metal frame for it later. I know one company is doing frames for Daban's red, blue, and gold Astrays and the Strike Freedom, so I'm hoping there'll be something done for the Astrea and Exia as well. I hope you enjoy the build though, Daban's Exia will look great.
@@gregorysmith908 unfortunately those astrays are 1-1 copies of the bandai kits for the most part unless you were referring to their MB counterparts. And I just found out from somewhere apparently the avalanche from daban doesn't really have a full frame, its a little like the DM destiny where its just partial frame bits. Might be out of luck for it I guess 😪
I’m new to the hobby (loving it), and I have an Exia sitting in the box. Would this be something you would recommend getting before doing the first build? I’ve built several kits and I’m not scared of something a little outside of the basics. I just want this kit to pose and hold up as well as kyrios!
If you're comfortable with your skills, then no kit should be too hard to build! The Cao Ren has much better quality control than other non-Bandai kits I've built, and the instructions aren't too complex.
I have the real grade exia suit. The master grade looks like it has less details for some reason. I could be trippin. Also have you done the giveaway yet? I wonder who won.
man... i just hate the head sculpt of every single exia gunpla. PG is the best one and even that one, and I think this is a problem for all of setsuna's gunplas except raiser; the vfin is frikkin like, it doesn't go down enough, I guess, and proportions look off too. Raiser has a very pronounced vfin, like it goes down ans really gives the eyes like that menacing look.

Its nice seeing a new vid from you! What timing, was just rewatching some of your old vids :)
Thanks for making more content! Always high quality.
Thanks again for another great video aMilla
Great video and upgrade! Thanks for sharing!

Do they make an upgrade kit for Dark Matter exia?
What's the size of the LED battery? I don't know anything about these kind of batteries.

Right?? It'd be an easy profit for them, considering all of the variant kits there are. I still have hope it'll come within the next 3 years or so
@@aMillaGunpla Within the next 3 years? I'd like to see it get made within the year.

You spam wishlists like it's so good
And you buy more than you should
Then you cry about low funds
But this merely adds to our funs.
@xxnike0629xx
You try to sell and make profit
But a wise man would advise you to drop it
We ask this with strange glee
Why do you spend so recklessly?

"Nature is Just Amazing in its Own Nature..."
Anyone know what kind of batteries are used for the GN Drive LEDs? My copy didn’t come with them 😢
I wonder if the Spot Studio metal frame has the same issues as this one
Can it upgrade Exia Dark Matter man
Pls if it can i want to replace it’s old part 😢

does it also fit to DM exia repairs?

still gonna ask if it works with the amazing exia mg even tho he already stated that it works with the pbandais
How does this metal frame compare to the Dot Factory MG Exia metal frame?
Epic vid dude can i ask would this metal frame work in the MG Amazing Exia too as the inner frame looks the same but im not 100% sure :D

does it come with hands?
Just want to ask, what Master Grades do you recommend buying a Metal Parts/Frame with?

Before I buy the metal inner frame for mg qant and raiser, I want to ask, is the upgraded exia compatible with action base 4 (or any other kind)?

No. The only 3rd party Exia this would be compatible with is the Hobby Star Exias and Astreas.
