I remember the Saturday House Cleaning. Ok, this was back in the early 1960s. We used Jubilee appliance polish, it was a white cream and we used it on all appliances in the kitchen. We polished furniture, did some dishes (not much because they were washed after each meal), made beds with fresh sheets, cleaned the bathrooms. After all our chores were done, we got our allowance and went promptly to the roller rink to have fun!
I only use hot water with vinegar for most of my cleaning, and special, reusable cloths for windows and glass. I don't subscribe to any shopping sites for anything. They're mostly hype, with little results. I'm with Asher though. We always seem to run out of Martinelli's before dinner is finished. Hope the reno is moving right along.
Hi, you guys should try to do a fall garden next year and grow all of your own herbs. Cilantro and parsley thrive in colder weather. Sage and thyme are basically evergreens. Dill does pretty well until low 20s. Tarragon is also an evergreen basically.
Thanks for the tip about Biscoff cookies for the pie crust, because in Germany, we don’t have Graham crackers. Yay.
When I make these same Costco or busy store on a weekend errors, I turn to my kids and say "put on your game faces."

My mom would stand in her garden looking at her veggies just the same with arms behind her back (she probably still does, but I just remember my dad pointing it out when I still lived at home)... and then my niece did the same pose when she was not even 2 years old. The apple doesn't fall far from the (grand)tree 😆

Funny thing is, just 2 days ago I was thinking "I gotta look up when US Thanksgiving is, so I can send the wish the day of." But then later I forgot to look it up.
Just a coincidence that I am watching this video today instead of later, so that I get to say it on time!
Technically I could have known from being bombarded with emails and commercials for all the screaming deals tomorrow or the entire week, but I never really put the puzzle pieces together that Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, as we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the Netherlands. We only get the commercial stuff because many stores are all too happy to jump on the bandwagon. But maybe next year those emails and commercials will remind me at least that Thanksgiving is coming up for you...
We just bought a 17 lb. prime rib for Thanksgiving and son is making a smoked turkey.
Woah you`d need to get a loan for that prime rib where I live lol

Where I live in Surrey, Canada, the Costco is busier than this on any given day. You just knock into each other and shuffle your way through. I hate it so I rarely shop there any more.

What?? No On Guard cleaner? Love that stuff. I made the mistake of going to my Costco last Saturday just for gasoline. I couldn't get out of the parking lot of the shopping center it was so full. Didn't even need to go into the store.

Happy Thanksgiving! I went to Costco on Monday just 30 minutes after it opened. The place was a zoo! I was happy though, I picked up 2 beautiful fresh decorated wreaths for $19.99 each for the front of our house. I know it's early but if you mist the wreaths with water they'll last and look good.
Why isn't Eve on the chore chart? She could do specific chores just for her. She needs to learn those tools too. For her future.

How are we spending Thanksgiving alone. My mother is in the hospital still, she's been in for 4 months. I was in a month and a half in the hospital myself. And I was out in September and I have been home alone ever since. And she will be going to the nursing home soon, she's unable to walk now and she's on dialysis s, I'm having problems with mobility and walking because of sciatic never problem, things have been difficult, it's better in some ways but in other ways is still hard. . Just remember me in your purse and God give me and my mother healing and he will heal the drift that's coming between us because of health problems.
